We go back and forth like this asking questions in a thread until one or both of us runs out of questions!

SO BASICALLY Anteiku Raid was a big fucking mess. One-Eyed Owl (which happens to be the manager's daughter and kaneki's favorite book author, Sen) is set on going to Anteiku and grab her father in order to basically erase Anteiku from the face of the Earth, and the Doves heard of this whole mess (see below how) and basically you have a black hole of what the fuck going on in Tokyo streets, where ghouls fight Doves and ghouls fight ghouls. kaneki heads there to save the manager and as he goes he heads into the sewers as he is flipping out (no surprise here) and sees Hide.

Kaneki faints due to his dissociative state and wakes up with the taste of blood in his mouth AND YOU SURE ARE FREE TO ASSUME KANEKI ATE HIDE his fucking bff. In the sewers he meets Arima that proceeds the gouge kaneki's eyes out with his quinque and kill Kaneki and it's greatly implied he turned Kaneki into a quinque and we can now joke around saying Kaneki is a griefcase (get it? isntead of briefcase, we are so witty).

In the last chapter we find out UTA THAT MOTHERFUCKER is part of a group called "Clowns/Pierrot" and they are the ones who dropped the metal bars on Rize, warned the Doves of the Anteiku raid and did a whole lot of fucking awful shit, including shoving Kaneki into having a mental breakdown. Why? BECAUSE THEY WERE BORED AND WANTED TO HAVE FUN THAT'S WHY. Also, the One-Eyed Owl kidnapped her own father and started to use him to make one-eyed ghouls, Amon died, AND A LOT OF SAD THINGS.

Wow the worst ending ever, right? And then Tokyo Ghoul: Re comes out. New characters and new focus: you see One Eyed ghouls working for the doves in order to kill ghouls. clearly some time has passed since Tokyo Ghoul and now we are presented with: Haise.
