aww yeah it's question meme time

Time to bring back one of my old faves...

the QUESTION meme

Simple and easy! Here's how it goes:

1. POST a top-level with your character name

2. REPLY to other people's top-level with a question for that character

3. ANSWER the question you were asked

4. ASK a question of that person's characters in return!

We go back and forth like this asking questions in a thread until one or both of us runs out of questions!

QUESTIONS CAN BE ANYTHING. Serious or silly as you want! What does Jane think of (x)? What does Sarah have for breakfast? How many times a day does Alex masturbate? What's Tom's dream job? The only limit for questions is your imagination.

Replies can be as monosyllabic or as tl;dr are you want; it's up to you. Go wild kids!

Aw. That'll be interesting when it happens someday!

Post-apocalyptic people spend 85% of their nights thinking about how much better this place is but also wishing their friends could be here too.

Jaime that's so cute.

Carver is a friend of hers that was first introduced in the prequel comic Liberation. He's military and a lot of what he had to do in the military involved really Bad Things that left him pretty messed up, which pretty much killed his family life. It's actually said that they met through his wife, Damara, at some unknown point in time. Then at some other point in time he was stationed with Ellie's boyfriend Norton.

She runs into him in the comic while trying to reach Damara after a lot of really terrible things happen. He decides to join her and Norton on her find a way to destroy the marker mission. Their dynamic was really interesting and they had some pretty adorable moments, especially with one deep conversation they had where he talked to her about the terrible things that just happened to him. It was heartbreaking but a very nice scene.

Amusingly the writer and artist actually admitted they shipped it really hard and it was the one time they were disappointed that pre-made plans meant something couldn't happen. Sadly, Dead Space 3 only gives a few hints at them having a pretty close relationship which is eternally frustrating to me (as is a lot of DS3 ). Though at least reading the comic helps to pick up the more subtle things, it's just a shame to have to read a comic to get that impression.

Does Jaime ever feel awkward about his adult friends or is he the type that thinks it's cool that he gets treated like an adult by them?

Ah, the tie-in comics! That explains why the name never rang a bell. It's kind of hilarious that the writers admitted to shipping her and her married friend, though! It's spacepocalypse GO FOR THE THREESOME.

Hmm, none of the above! He doesn't feel too awkward about them, but he understands that things aren't quite the same with them as if they were the same age. He knows that adults will, by nature, worry about him more and try to shelter him more (especially if they don't know about his secret ID) which frustrates him, but it's also a little reassuring to him. He misses his parents something awful, and having a few people around him who mother hen him a bit is irritating but comfortingly familiar. He doesn't really think it's cool to be treated like an adult per se, but that's because that's the sort of treatment that he expects. His parents certainly treat him like their son, but they're the type of parents to treat their kids with dignity and respect, and to ask them about their feelings before dismissing him - that sort of upbringing means that either he gets the same treatment from other adults in his life, or he'll just end up looking at them with scorn.

And you don't want Jaime looking at you with scorn. It's like being harshly judged by a puppy.

Now that she lives a life of relative comfort, does Ellie have any guilty pleasures?

Sadly the comic starts with Carver's wife and son dying so that would impossible. Ellie was actually on her way to warn his wife, but got there too late because that's the story of everyone's spacepocalypse life. I'm pretty sure the writers of that comic sat down and thought how can we make this as depressing as possible?

That is a very mature view point on having adult friends as a kid. His parents are legit the best parents in comics. Or anything.

A few. It took her a while to really fully adjust. She was on the run for a while back home and RIDICULOUSLY poor because they had no identities and couldn't really get actual jobs. So she does still have a voice in the back of her mind that says they should save it just in case something goes wrong (because it will eventually) she does enjoy buying things sometimes that she doesn't actually need, like a really nice suit or an expensive jacket. She also gets a silly amount of pleasure of just walking around outside by herself and taking pictures. She imagines people probably find her weird because she's the chick in a park taking pictures of bees and seeming really excited by the bees.

Is there anyone that exists (either here or back home) that he actually hates or strongly dislikes?
