aww yeah it's question meme time
Time to bring back one of my old faves...

Simple and easy! Here's how it goes:
1. POST a top-level with your character name
2. REPLY to other people's top-level with a question for that character
3. ANSWER the question you were asked
4. ASK a question of that person's characters in return!
We go back and forth like this asking questions in a thread until one or both of us runs out of questions!
QUESTIONS CAN BE ANYTHING. Serious or silly as you want! What does Jane think of (x)? What does Sarah have for breakfast? How many times a day does Alex masturbate? What's Tom's dream job? The only limit for questions is your imagination.
Replies can be as monosyllabic or as tl;dr are you want; it's up to you. Go wild kids!

Question: What was the most jarring thing Annie encountered after coming to MoM that her world didn't have?
no subject
Gah, that's... actually hard to say. Mostly because the answer is: everything. But when she first came to MoM it would be... cars. Like buildings are familiar even if the construction and materials aren't; uniforms are familiar even if the particulars aren't. And it just... the things people take for granted, that aren't questioned? Clean running water all over, in the house, all this hot running water, indoor plumbing in general, the ease of accessing food when they're not living near to fields or the like, it's all pretty darn amazing.
But definitely the first thing that jarred her badly were cars. Past that, it's kind of the openness and ability for people to speak? Without serious worry about being executed for saying the wrong things to the wrong people. (In the government.) Books are amazing. The internet, while overwhelming, is also amazing, though she now know porn exists there with viruses that like. Hate computers.
... So it's hard to say TOO MANY THINGS!!! Also electricity what the hell is this???
Question: What do you think Newt is actually enjoying in being in MoMverse, if anything (outside of the break from the crazy back home)?
no subject
As for what Newt is enjoying in MoM, it's honestly really simple. Actually having a proper bed to sleep in. The Homestead had a couple, but they weren't in great shape, and they were usually in use by the Medjacks when someone got injured or stung by a Griever, so he most slept on the floor or outside on the ground. So having a bed is like his favorite thing here so far, but also getting to try different kinds of food and live a somewhat normal life, or at least what he assumes is normal.
Question: Is there anything Annie wants to learn to do in MoM that she wouldn't have had access to at home?
no subject
Lind of the most important part there is that these are friends who know about the version of her past she tells (which is deliberately more condemning than it needs to be), who acknowledge these things she's done and her capacity for being a threat, back home, and who do not dismiss them, but move forward with and probably struggle with these things. Mutual relationships with those kinds of people. It's important to her... and seriously probably not ever going to happen in canon.
On a note of random things she's enjoyed learning since she came, hovercycle riding. That's just fun in a weird liberating way.
Question: What are you enjoying about getting to play Newt here, right now? Like, what thins are you finding it interesting to explore? Since I feel like the rewards a player can get out of it are different from what rewards a character gets out of the setting (or their detriments, depending).

Man, I am having so much fun with just... Everything, honestly. I love how I can have really serious threads about government and the awful shit in his canon but turn around and have ridiculous threads with him trying to make moonshine or play with cats and just get to have a little bit of normalcy. I really like getting to explore Newt getting frustrated in MoM, because he's usually the most level-headed of his friends, the one with logic and reason that doesn't just run into bad ideas without a proper plan. He just keeps hitting walls with people with their beliefs vs his own about what's going on here, and it sort of takes him out of his comfort zone. I'm looking forward to see how he develops in MoM, because I don't really have any direction that I want to take him in specifically. Will he hate MoM and try to go back to his world, will he end up wanting to stay here because it's leagues better than what his world has to offer? I honestly have no idea which way he'll lean yet, so I'm excited to see where his development takes him.
Question: What is Annie's favorite guilty pleasure food?
