Jesse's been here for a year so he's pretty used to it by now. Hearing about someone's power is pretty much like hearing them describe their car or their house. Sometimes he's impressed, sometimes he's envious, but it doesn't blow his mind.

Because he's a lifelong comic book fan, he didn't have much trouble grasping the concept once it was explained to him, though he had a lot of awe about everything at first. The whole thing initially seemed like something he made up as a kid and he spent a lot of time wondering if the drugs fucked him up for good and if this was some neverending hallucination. (Like any experienced drug user, he figured it was best to roll with it and lean into the high.)

When he started using his own power is when it hit him that it's way too real. Seeing how effective his power was also made him terrified of everyone else's powers, and it took him a while to get over his fear of other imPorts, though he did his best not to show his fear. Seriously, though... He's genre-savvy enough to feel some trepidation, given his status as a relatively weak villain in a world full of superheroes.

Kid's mostly missing his father at the moment, just because he feels like he could really use some advice on handling some things he's running into. Because he's from an epilogue anime canon point, he knows Shinigami's relatively okay, but he's still pretty worried about any long term effects from the battle against Asura. He does miss his friends and his partners too, but he's not sure he'd want them kidnapped like he's been.

Oops question: if Jesse could have chosen his own superpower, what would it have been?

He probably wouldn't have even been able to decide. He would've liked something flashy, like lasers or fire or telekinesis. But lately he's also been wishing he could teleport or turn invisible. And he's considered how awesome it would be to have reality-warping powers, though he's also figured it might be too much responsibility for him and he'd screw up something major.

He'd probably settle on invisibility, telekinesis, and a real-life undo button. Like, turning back time for at least a few seconds so the last thing didn't happen. Yeah, he could use that.

Kid's daily routine is pretty mellow at the moment. He's still holding down the job he was assigned on arriving, which is working at a company that does interior design (I love the mods and their job choices for chars), because he's determined to stay Unsettled (he has allegiance qualms) so keeping the job is one way to smooth over those waves. He's got a pretty full house of roomies in Maurtia Falls, so I imagine he cleans up there pretty often. And he just joined up with the YA, so anything they're doing, he's on call for.
