TEST DRIVE MEME
Considering apping into MASK OR MENACE? Want to dip your toes into the setting and get a feel of whether your character will fit into it? Or maybe you're just cruising and want to play around? Then you've come to the right place!

Pick any of the following scenarios below or feel free to make up your own, but don't be afraid to throw yourself at anyone's thread, either!

And remember to have fun!

    01. Your memory is hazy and you might feel increasingly frustrated or anxious, or maybe you're excited as soldiers march past, barely glimpsing you. One second you're somewhere underground, the next you're enveloped in blue light, and suddenly you find yourself directly under Flordia sun's bright and burning glare. A female soldier steps toward you with a wide smile on her face and directs you to a car, ready to debrief you. You realize you are not the only one, surrounded by equally confused or eager faces... and you're all sporting a digital tattoo on your wrist.

    02. Welcome to Cape Canaveral, where the smell of the ocean is in the air and locals are more than pleased to see new imPorts roaming their streets. They wave, they cheer, they ask for pictures as politely as they can. The more inhuman you look, or if you're wearing a costume, the more likely locals are to approach. Hey, enjoy the moment! The popular malt shop is offering you a free drink if you need it.

    03. The technology in this world is certainly something. The cars are clearly modeled after popular 50s cars, but they hover several feet above the ground as they drive down the street. There are digital jukeboxes in restaurants, motorcycles also hover through traffic, advertisements can be seen on a digital projector on the taller buildings. Even kids on skateboards appear to drift a safe ten feet off the ground while playing!

    04. Wherever you are, you can hear the loud revving of an engine, distance at first before you finally see it: a hovercar bursting around the corner, going beyond the maximum speed limit and just barely making its sharp turn. It doesn't appear to be slowing down any time soon, not with two police cars trailing it... and uh oh. Those skateboarding kids don't have much time to get out of the way as the car comes speeding down the road. You've been brought here for a reason Hero — so you better act fast.

A display of power that naturally caught and held Eru's attention. Beautiful, deadly, and there was a cruelty and shadow to the man that was undeniable. He stood out of the way and watched, interested to see what others would do.

Fear and awe. Rightly earned. Even in Ea such powers were saved for the Ainur and himself, and very few of the Firstborn.

Most 'good-hearted' people would have approached the children to offer comfort. To take them away from any thought of harm. He knew that, and discarded it after a look over and saw the children were safe enough. Life was not so black and white. It had a balance that needed to be kept.

Eru was dressed closer to Heropa style than others from Arda, though still not quite right in the way many old people tended to dress from an older style than the young. And, in the way some old people have, when he approached after the crowd had started to dispurse, he made an observation.

"You act much like my eldest son." Not an insult - exactly. He loved his son, really. Melkor just had... special temper tantrums. And jealousy issues. And... Melkor had a lot of issues. Period.

[OOC: Eru is basically God in JRR Tolkien's Lord of the Rings/Hobbit/Silmarillian. Sadly not Obi Wan, though for game purposes he'll look similar to Obi Wan.]

"Is that so?" Dooku turned his head to regard the source of the comment. For a moment, he did a double-take. If Obi-Wan Kenobi were to be aged twenty years or so, there would be a striking resemblance in the face he now beheld... but Obi-Wan was not here, and this man had no presence in the Force that Dooku would associate with a Jedi. But still there was something that felt different about him, something far beyond the way he was dressed. Something potent and subtle about his presence that Dooku could not put his finger on.

"You must have quite the interesting family, then," he said, curious.

Interesting. Most wouldn't have reacted that way unless they knew the person, but hadn't expected them to be there. Eru quirked a brow, continuing to watch the man with a curiosity that could possibly match Dooku's.

"Diverse, yes. Life is never tiresome with them." Which was just one reason he'd grown distant, but he didn't need to say so.

The Count turned his body to face Eru fully, intrigued. "I will assume your eldest is someone with authority and the will to act." Someone with tendencies toward theatrical and unnecessary violence would also have been a good guess, but Dooku was of course more interested in a comparison that cast him in a more favourable light.

"I am Count Dooku of Serenno, Head of State for the Confederacy of Independent Systems," he announced. "It is a pleasure to meet you. Might I know your name as well?"
