BARTIMAEUS COULD ONE DAY GROW TO LIKE LOKI

If just because they're two birds of a feather, in some ways. They're both roundabout, heavy with nonanswers, all that good stuff. And. Well. A trickster god and a djinni? Practically a match made in heaven.

But at the moment Bartimaues is reluctantly curious about him. He's still not admitting to being on amicable terms with certain humans so the most he'll come clean to is a modest curiosity and the fact that he probably won't go out of his way to devour him. But there's just something intriguing about how Loki goes about his conversations as well as just the general clusterfuck that is Kitty vs Mandrake vs YA Squad.

It just really boils down to Bartimaeus being interested in him, and he'll probably be way more prone to admitting he finds conversing with Loki interesting once he actually puts two and two together and gets norse god.

AND CARRIE TOO, FOR OLD TIME'S SAKE

hello there roomie god we just need to do more with these two because they could have such a wonderful not!friendship. I mean if anything Ramir kind of very much reminds him of a slightly more - well. Sassy. Version of an early Roy Harper. Y'know, back when Roy was reselling alcohol shipments at the club he worked at and just generally committing petty theft while sleeping with Oliver's sister. That kind of remembrance.

Also stop trying to break into his room, Ramir, you're not gonna be able to find anything. At least not without getting shot by some hidden minicrossbow on a tripwire.

OKAY AND NOW CARRIE. Bart misses Carrie something fierce.

She was his future friend, his discovering the world friend, watching dumb movies and laughing at them friend, eating pizza on rooftops while fighting crime friend- he's trying not to really focus on it, or mention it to other people because it's a weird sort of thing. Like- with most of his other friends he'll at least see some version of them if one of them leaves or, with Wally, he's just desperately trying to ignore the fact that he won't see him again whenever one of them goes home. But with Carrie- he'll never see her again, unless she somehow gets ported back.

So honestly Bart spends a lot of his free time during the day thinking about her and missing her.

He moved out of the building they were crashing in almost the next day, because it suddenly was way too quiet and way too lonely, but he also went through and hid any evidence that they were crashing there in a way that would probably have made her proud. And just- man. Man. He misses her. She's smart and funny and witty and Bart just enjoyed every second he was with her and the kid had a stupid crush on her and it will probably be ages before he's aware enough of romantic anything to even realize it.

Also he's definitely secretly planning on going on a super trip to all the places they were going to go, to see them and take pictures and he doesn't care if the government shuts off his powers halfway through, he'll hitchhike until they catch him and forcibly deport him because he wants to complete the things they started. And like- he's also training more to be able to run while carrying people because Carrie showed him how crash that was and if she ever does come back he wants to be able to take her places without her having to use her powers.

Just.

BART HAS A LOT OF FEELINGS ABOUT CARRIE, OKAY.

augh crap i just lost all the response i'd had typed up and was almost done, THAT SUCKS. but in essence it was about of awwwwwww, bart ;_; i swear if i reapp carrie here it will be 50% for bart, i loved that cr so much. one day she might even realize that she liked bart as more than just her adventurous friend that facilitates all her poorly advised schemes! maybe. i feel like they're on the same "what is crush" level, even as they're probably in the same crush-having place. cute assholes.

also ramir is definitely that. sorry ollie. i look forward to seeing more of that cr and seeing where it goes, though! AND GOOD LUCK ARROWING HER IN THE LEG BUDDY, SHE'S INVULNERABLE HAHAHAHA.

BART'S OPINION OF JAIME JUST KEEPS SKYROCKETING.

Like honestly Jaime is and always has been (no matter what universe he's from) Bart's ideal picture of a superhero. He's the nicest person Bart's ever known, the most earnest and honest, and is just. So devoted to doing what's right.

LIKE I'VE SAID BEFORE- he came to the past to keep an eye on his world's Jaime and actually surprised himself with how they honestly became friends, and that's just gotten worse since meeting this even calmer version of him.

Just. Jaime's the guy Bart can lean on, the one person he can just drop his guard around and be serious and act like his 2056 self and know that he won't be judged or treated like this fragile, broken kid because Jaime doesn't do stuff like that. But he's also the one person that really calls Bart out on stuff and tells him things in a way he really gets, and he appreciates that. Like Jaime is 100% the reason why Bart doesn't use the term "meat" anymore, and he's a good portion of the reason why he'll stop and think about what he's saying during serious conversations.

Or. Well. When he actually realizes he's in a serious conversation.

So yeah just. Jaime you are an A+ person and Bart is in awe of how honestly good you are and he will also forever defend your (and Khaji Da, now that he's not freaking out over him) honor and name and what-not from people who want to dump everything Reach on Jaime's shoulders.

Meanwhile Oliver thinks Blue Beetle is A) twelve years old, B) suffering from mental issues that go beyond Oliver's own since he dresses up as a giant bug, and C) both does good investigative work and is probably too soft-hearted to do effective investigative work.

AKA judging you, sir twelve year old bug boy.

...... He does almost feel bad about being a bit of a dick to Jaime he just sort of is quick to judge people's abilities when he hears the words "kidnapping" and "no idea who did it"

BART'S OPINION IS SO CUTE... I love our CR and that they've gotten to the point where even if they don't get where the other's coming from 100% of the time, they have enough mutual respect to slow down and listen to each other.

AND LMAO OLLIE'S NOT WRONG, TBH except for the mental issues, ollie wins over him in spades. :')
