Shinji has- no idea what to think about Crane just yet, hahaha. He normally reserves opinions/judgment, but in addition to that, Crane so far is a bit of an enigma. He's so collected and smooth and professional that the punkass cynical side of Shinji thinks it has to be a facade-- but it's so well-maintained that he has no idea what would be behind it. Right now, that side of Jonathan is all he knows.

He's-- well, an adult, haha, and far more together and responsible than a lot of the adults he knows here. (>LOOKS DOWN AT KOTETSU A THREAD BELOW.) He seems very very into his work, and always reasons it out to be for the benefit of others and... well, there's no reason it couldn't be legitimate.

He's at the point where he's reserving making a call on the guy, having only had one or two conversations with him- but so far, Crane seems dedicated to his work, and driven by some very tempered compassion.

And to be honest, from his own work counseling? he understands how any compassion has to be tamped down and even and compartmentalized, just to get by without running dry of it all and growing cynical. If this is Crane's life work, it all kind of makes sense to him. So basically, he sees no reason why not to trust the guy, other than his dumb teenage instinct of HE'S TOO TOGETHER SOMETHING'S GOTTA BE WEIRD.

Given more time and more interaction, I'm sure his opinion on Crane will solidify-- and I'm planning to get him to eventually reach out, once things play out appropriately ICly. /o/ SO THAT WILL BE FUN AND EXCITED AND TERRIBLE. Right now Crane is someone he's interested, but reserved about. Still trying to figure out, mostly.
