and GOSH judgement is actually really good for jaime and ken how did i not even think of that wow
everything in the last section with finding absolution especially. like ken does feel very safe around jaime and this is absolutely why

YEAH I thought it fit them and everything that Jaime's seen of Ken really well! And honestly most of the judgment he's seen from Ken is not so much making an honest appraisal of others (though he's like WOW KID WAS SPOT ON ABT MINATO) but of himself.

He's very judgmental of himself, this is a truth. He's going through a lot right now and most of it involves his absolutely shattered self-confidence. He doesn't think he was/is right about anything but he also knows it's wrong to let himself be clouded by any hatred, whether it's toward himself or others??? He's constantly trying to find judgement for himself.

And Jaime helps because he's proven to be level-headed and has a sense of justice and fairness that Ken still SO ADMIRES but he also happens to be someone uninvolved who's not entirely unbiased but he has a good bias toward everybody Ken knows. That is to say he's friends with Shinji and is being friends with Ken too and he's latching on to people who won't take sides. You're a bro, Jaime.
