PRETTY DANG GOOD ACTUALLY.

Since having to half-raise himself and Hiro while their aunt ran the cafe downstairs, he didn't have a whole lot of choice in learning how to cook from Cass, so he does pretty well!

Just don't ask him to bake anything, that's where all talent ends.

"started" is a strong word

more like "stepped in and kept them from starting shit with his brother" would be more accurate, which he's definitely done. But he's never initiated anything without provocation

Teen years! He spent mostly either studying, trying to keep Hiro from taking and doing his homework for him (do you understand how little his teachers believed him when he said his little brother did all his pre-cal homework), and trying to keep Hiro out of trouble/safe.

So he didn't have much of a life outside of school/family, just stayed really busy with those things and a lot of extra credit work to help his standing to get some scholarships for SFIT.

THE NERD LAB FRIENDS THOUGH. His first foray into being his own person and not his brother's keeper, so SUPER EXCITED to meet all these people and ...then go back home and tell his brother about all the cool awesome stuff everyone's building s-sob. Wasabi and Honey Lemon, met with enthusiasm, look at all this science!! THIS IS SO COOL!! Fred was a mixture of confusion and haha ok??? And then it tapered out into the weird sort of calm broship. GOGO WAS HARDER. Gogo he had to annoy on a daily basis for two semesters before she finally agreed to come to group nerd lunch and then she just ...begrudgingly came on her own (iirc I think Linds threw in that Honey Lemon picked up the pestering after that). The joke is even with him being in college and not having to look out for Hiro 24/7 he still does not shut up talking about Hiro to his friends so. OOPS.

If, despite all his efforts, Tadashi never managed to complete Baymax's coding (tech not caught up to what he wanted, or some other reason), what would he have done?

And his life (and death) put aside for now, if he had been born with a superpower, what would it be?

He probably would have gone back to his entry project and perfected+expanded on it, remote/robotic surgical tools. Either that or developing something akin to new prosthetics for amputees or something. It would definitely still be something in the medical field.

IF HE HAD A SUPERPOWER: Definitely a toss up between Encouraging Words (help people feel good and fuzzy about themselves inside whoops) OR a much more refined technopathy, actually being able to talk to the tech and not just feel it.
