Kid is kind of caught between feeling very responsible for in-game death things, because that's both who and what he is, and trying very hard not to overstep his bounds. Because he knows that this isn't his world, and he's not the only one with purview in this place, but it's really hard for him.

He misses Liz and Patty A LOT more than he's letting on. It's actually really fortunate for him that he's been included to the Young Avengers crew here, because it gives him the team stability that Shibusen normally gives him and actually makes him, you know, interact with people.

Thankfully, it's not visible in regular lighting, so it's easier for him to shove to the back of mind -- a little like his stripes, in that way, since he can't see them unless he's looking at his reflection.
