Algophobia. The irrational fear of pain.

But is it irrational to fear pain? Like all humans fear death, they fear being hurt. Physically and emotionally. Not so irrational, then.

Ngh. Doing crazy things to avoid whatever, I guess. But. Isn't that different things? Like, if you never leave the house because you don't wanna get hurt or die that's...gore. Phobia. Or something.

There's a lot of overlap. Just go with fear of living and call it cool.

Agoraphobia. It's more complex than you make it sound. There are plenty of inter-linking conditions; being left alone and feeling trapped, for instance. I am pleased to see you understand it's more than a fear of open places, mind.

To answer your statement, a phobia is what people call an overwhelming and unreasonable fear. One disproportional to the actual danger posed, and often painted as irrational.
