What is his favorite thing to transmute? Also, what is he most proud of that's unrelated to alchemy?

Hm. Favourite/easiest to work with is probably metal. As cliche as that is with his Title. It's what he seems to be most familiar with, outside of messing with the ground itself as well, I mean. Heck, he transmutes weapons from a sea of blood. He's that good with metals, using the iron in it. Not that I imagine blood is something he'd ever be keen to use again but.

As far as his pride in things outside his alchemy, I'm going to go with his kids, at least if we go by epilogue. He's going to totally channel Hughes and nobody will let him live it down but he won't give a damn because. His kids. But if you mean something closer to his canon point, I'd say he's proud of his research, how quick he can get through books perhaps and thus how damned learned he is on certain topics at least. I know the research is sort of related though. So for another option, I'd say he's proud of his friends, his family. The way he gushes over them to others even if he might sometimes be more. Well, tsun over it because this is Ed and what are feelings what are girls how do they even, earlier in the series and all.
