There are! Kitty is still very in the habit of mistrusting her government - long-ingrained instinct, all that. But despite that habit - more rooted in emotions than in any sort of real thought - she intellectually does approve of this government and its system. Kitty sees democracies as the most virtuous form of government, and the government of the United States/the ambassador system is pretty close to that; she would prefer that all imPorts got an equal voice in the government rather than electing representatives to act for them, but if this system isn't ideal at least it's pretty good.

As for imPort authority figures: she likes pretty much all of 'em. She trusts them rather less, since she's always highly aware of how a little bit of power can turn into a hell of a lot of power if you don't pay close attention to the people who have it, but that only manifests as her being resolved to keep a close eye on them. She thinks that Mitchell Hundred is a sweet and fussy old man; Gamagora is insane but wonderful. She thinks, on a personal level, that they're just completely lovely. On a professional/political one...She thinks that they're about as good as you can get (but that doesn't mean for one second that they shouldn't be monitored).
