okay. okay so. i have a theory. because we can have nothing but theories with this stupid, canceled show. but okay. OKAY.

he would go back there only if he found out that he was completing a loop.

because that is the future yj left us on. one giant loop. they showed that bart changed nathaniel's power situation, but that's it. literally nothing ever changed. with everything that he did, everything they all did, nothing changed except wally was the flash who died. yj left us with the reach leaving, sure, but there's the whole war world and whatever the fuck the evil guys were planning and just. JUST.

bart ended up indirectly causing the giant crater in mount justice that he grew up with in 2056, the future is still there it still exists and what's worse is that the show has shown that he has a hand in creating parts of it.

if that ever clicked, he'd build another time machine. he'd find a way to send himself forward in time, he'd either stop himself from coming back or he'd tell him to go back, save Flash, tell people what's going on and that's it. he'd tell that past bart to just. to just do that and then stop. to let them know exactly what happened to start to cause things and then-- and then either figure out a way back, like he did, or to just... to not exist. in the past. to just do whatever it took. because otherwise he would risk keeping that loop going instead of crashing it.



the other option would be if his continued existence in the past was messing up reality because ~time~ but yeah. those are. those are the reasons.

oh wait also i mean if he was given the choice of being banished to the horrible future or watch someone get hurt he'd hop through time immediately but yeah. reasons.
