TL;DR cr meme

THE TL;DR CR Meme

It's that time again and why not start it off with a heart warming and tragic foreshadowing gif?

1. Post with your characters - if you have more than one, make a catch all under one header.
2. respond to other people's characters with your characters.
3. They will tell you exactly what their character thinks of your character in depth! Icly or oocly! Make it long, this is teal deer territory after all.
4. React if you wish!
5. You can use this stuff for cr charts or you can even link to something you have written.
6. This is brought to you by irony from one of the more unfriendly characters in game.

LMAVOIUDSF THIS BITCH

Wally hates him, but not in the same way he'd hate, say, Kanaya. No he hates this punk on principle. HOW DARE YOU BEAT HIM AT HIS OWN GAME??!?! As far as KF is concerned, Glitch cheated and is undeserving of that money and he will continue to dodge him like he's some kind of skeevy lender. Honestly Glitch should probably charge him interest, because it's going to take years to wrench that $100 bucks out of his hands.

Mostly Wally hates looking like an idiot, especially if someone else (in his opinion) is the person making him look stupid. He's of the opinion that he made it pretty clear how the race was supposed to go and he gave Glitch plenty of chances to back out and/or explain his methodology for how he was gonna race so like, Glitch outsmarting him was him scamming Wally.

YOU'LL NEVER SEE THAT MONEY

THAT MONEY COULD BE USED TO BUY $100 DOLLARS WORTH OF FOOD

NEVER

So after Robin, Jaime is probably his next best friend. He really likes the guy, really likes him a lot; he thinks Jaime is one of those rare good people, the kind of person who's naturally altruistic and doesn't have to work at it like he does, the kind that was almost born to be a hero even if he never wanted it. And heroes are the highest tier of honor you can get with Wally West, so him thinking Jaime is A+ hero material says a lot about how high in regard Wally holds him.

He also thinks Jaime is really fun to hang out with and is one of the more down-to-earth people he knows. Wally's aware that the company he keeps is of the extraordinary type; even here his best friend is a genius extraordinaire in roughly everything he does and adopted by one of the most high-profile billionaires in the world, his cousin can build time machines and break the sound barrier before he even breaks a sweat, his mentor-figure went to cult meetings with Charles Dickens and is darkness embodied. Compared to them Wally doesn't exactly sparkle, and this can sometimes punch him in the ego. It's weird but Jaime being just as normal as he is is almost a relief. He can talk about average dumb stuff, parents annoying him to do his chores, school sucking and things like that without sounding like he's whining or bragging about his still-alive family and all of that noise. Jaime is the type of guy Wally would be fine with just Wally knowing, which says a lot because Wally doesn't think just Wally is a very interesting person to know. With his powers and KF and the confidence he's gotten because of that, yeah, but just plain Wally, nothing special? Nah. Just plain Wally fades into the background, no matter how loud he is. But Jaime annoys him and asks him dumb stuff and sends him things that he thinks Wally would enjoy or things that he thinks Wally would know, and Wally has like...zero friends outside of the team. Literally. People generally don't try to get to know him at school and he doesn't try to get to know them. Having a 'normal' friend like Jaime is something of a novelty and Wally loves him for it.

It's also why Wally is so forgiving of Jaime for hassling him. He was mean and petty and angry and lashed out, but Wally is extremely defensive over things and he's got kind of a 'my way or the highway' mentality, especially when it comes to things he thinks he should or should not do. Anybody but Jaime did something like that? They'd be gone. Wally is ridiculously loyal but he's also a hell of a grudgebearer, and if it was anyone but Jaime doing that he'd probably have convinced himself that they were a fucking dick and wanted to control him and he'd be better off without them. But because it's Jaime, Wally knows it's just because it's what Jaime thought would be best. He doesn't agree with him, but he knows Jaime's heart is always, always, 100% always in the right place. He's too good for it not to be.

Of course, that fight and this most recent awkwardness kind of pointed something out to Wally that he didn't really think too deeply about before, and it's that as much field experience as Jaime might or might not have, he's never worked with other people like him. Not for extended periods of time. There's a certain mentality that seeps into heroes over time (and their villains too, to an extent) that makes them ready to do extreme things that can actually, literally result in death. Wally sorta clued into it when Khaji Da told him that Jaime had tried to reason with a hurricane before fighting back, but now it's a little more obvious and it's starting to dawn on him consciously. Jaime probably would be happy just living quietly for the rest of his life, going to school, getting married, maybe having a kid or two and putting his sister through college and making sure his parents could retire comfortably. Jaime's civilian. Even if Jaime's more than capable of being a hero, he doesn't want to be and wanting it is sort of a big part, in Wally's opinion. Wanting it is what keeps a person from growing too bitter, keeps a person from making mistakes that can make things really, really bad. He doesn't know if this'll ever happen to Jaime but Wally also doesn't think anybody should be forced to be a hero either. He's the kind of guy who thinks everybody in the world should get the job they want to have, not the job they have to have. As such, Wally's starting to get a little protective of Jaime (starting to, I say, like he didn't fly off the handle and screech at half the League when he found out Jaime was left up in space). He wants the guy to get that quiet happy life he wants.

GOD. LOOK AT ALL OF THAT. DAMN IT FEY

tl;cr wally really loves jaime a lot and i'm giddy that their friendship is moving past the surface into deeper stuff

NO??? no theyre not

KF LIKES GOGO A LOT!!! Other than the obvious things (likes going fast and she's hot) Wally enjoys that she's very scientific. He loves it when people try to figure out how to make their powers or skills work using applicable sciences and stuff, and he feels a specific kinship with Gogo over that. In addition to the 'likes going fast' thing, he particularly enjoys going fast with her because she's not like Bart. Her brain moves at normal speeds, like his does most of the time; Bart's constantly in fast mode and that makes it hard for Kid to relate to him, but gogo gets it. she knows what it's like to be slow and then to make yourself fast (and Bart might get that too, but in an entirely different and much more awful way). she can slow down and talk like normal but she also gets the rush of going fast under your own power, and maybe that going fast is all the better because she's usually slow. Wally feels like that sometimes, and he's happy he's found someone else who gets it.

Kid is ESPECIALLY happy she came to him for advice; he likes to have his authority on superheroing acknowledged by other people and he enjoys getting validation. he gets an ego boost out of it, sure, but it also kind of reaffirms that he absolutely, 100000% is exactly where he wants to be. if other people think of him when they need to know something about being a superhero? then he must be doing something right. it makes him feel good about himself and each time it happens it helps him to slowly close up that gaping wound of insecurity that he hides from other people behind all the posturing and bravado, to the point where the posturing isn't quite as much a lie as it is a half-truth. that gogo immediately thought "kid flash" when she was in trouble really pulls at his heartstrings, in an entirely good way. he LOVES being a hero and gogo calling him one so easily makes him squirm.

another thing she does is that she doesn't pick on him about his eating habits. he knows he has no table manners and that he's super gross when he's shoving half a sandwich into his face, and 95% of the time it doesn't bother him, but 5% of the time it's a sore spot and it's embarrassing. he's kind of taken the attitude of 'fuck you if you have a problem with it' when it comes to his eating habits so he never looks shy, but people really honestly giving thought to why he eats like he does and accommodating him is really, really touching. there's a very small handful of people in MoM who do that for him, mostly just Robin (sometimes annie but mostly just random gestures from acquaintances and strangers that are more like 'i know you like food so i got you some' instead of dedicated thought to how his metabolism works), so that he barely knows her and she did something like got him energy bars and like gatorade and shit after he ran all the way from the west coast to the east? he really, really, REALLY appreciates it. it's actually really touching. food is a good way to get to his heart, but actually giving it thought like that is sweet on a level he's really not used to from anybody but robin and his parents. he loves it.

THERE YOU HAVE IT

HEH /RUBS HANDS TOGETHER

So Superman is kind of legendary at this point. All the boys back home wanted to be Superman (except for Wally he always wanted to be the Flash but he is an outlier and should not be counted). Superman's a living legend not because he's powerful and seemingly invincible, but because he always does what's right and he's always kind. To the people who deserve it, anyway.

Even if Superman back home was something of a jerk (and even if Wally is biased on that because he's got Superboy's back) he's nothing like the one here. I've been over all this already, Superman being a lot nicer here, treating Wally (for the most part) like part of the team instead of just some kid, blah blah, etc.

AS FOR WHAT'S DIFFERENT. Wally is getting a lot more comfortable with the idea of being friends with these people (read: the League) instead of just some kid trying to prove himself. For all the tantrums he threw and all the whining he did, he treated himself as a kid just as much as any of the adults did, if not more. He had convinced himself of their infallibility when it wasn't actually there, and he'd shoved them all up onto pedestals they didn't ask for and judged them for it if they fell. Getting shouted down by Power Girl and then going home and coming back after helping to put the League back home right again had done an awful lot to teach him about actual equality, and now he's ready to UNLEASH THAT UNDERSTANDING ON UNSUSPECTING ADULTS.

As a result Wally's trying to get to know people better as people. That means teasing people, seeing how they react and getting to know them personally. Superman is chief among them, because a) he really likes Big Blue and b) Clark handles his teasing with aplomb. Superman's kind of funny and even if he's a worrywart (AND A TOTAL SHOWOFF!!!) he's kind of fun to be around. Wally's pretty sure he'll never be able to pal around with Clark like he does with Robin or Jaime, but he can definitely get that big brotherly vibe and work with that.

TL;CR WALLY WANTS TO GET TO KNOW CLARK AS A PERSON AND WORK WITH HIM AS A COHESIVE UNIT OF FRIENDS

HARLEY....HARLEY HARLEY.

Just based on reputation, Kid is reeeeally leery of her. Not because he's scared of her! But because Gotham baddies tend to be. Unbalanced. Y'know like the kind of people who will steal a busload of kids and then drive it into the river and when confronted with the heinousness of their crimes they'll go "well I mean what ELSE was I supposed to do with them, they wouldn't shut up." Kid's been pampered by the Rogues in Central, who will beat the shit out of the Flash (and occasionally him) if they get interrupted while knocking off a jewelry store, but tend to leave the buses of schoolchildren alone and don't actively search for destruction and ruin. The Rogues in Central are easy to understand. Gotham rogues are unpredictable.

Harley in particular, because Wally sorta tends to paint people who hang with other people with the same brush and the Joker is a lunatic who has personally made his best friend's life a much scarier one. So she's kind of already been branded as Bad Guy with capitals in Wally's head, and considering how loyal he is to Robin that's probably not a good thing. EVEN IF ROBIN AND BATMAN ARE NICE TO HER. WALLY IS A GUARD DOG. HE PEED ON ROBIN, HE'S CLAIMED THAT ONE. THAT'S HIS.

At the same time, Wally is a proponent of criminals reforming. That's also a big Central City thing, and if Harley's really turned over a new leaf then he wants her to get a fair chance. But her paling around with him immediately after showing up is flustering him big time, and he's also got an inflated sense of importance and is like SHE MUST BE GETTING CLOSE TO ME TO GET TO ROBIN!!! like no

no kiddo she just thinks it funny when you screech

Wally's dropped the ball on her because his attention span is practically nil, but he thinks she's serious and needs to loosen up. She needs to crack open a beer (he does not advocate drinking unless u seem like u need it and gurl like dayum- and sit back with some trash movies and take a load off. Wally will assist. he enjoys introducing people to the joys of pointless hedonism
