THE TL;DR CR Meme
It's that time again and why not start it off with a heart warming and tragic foreshadowing gif?

1. Post with your characters - if you have more than one, make a catch all under one header. It's that time again and why not start it off with a heart warming and tragic foreshadowing gif?

2. respond to other people's characters with your characters.
3. They will tell you exactly what their character thinks of your character in depth! Icly or oocly! Make it long, this is teal deer territory after all.
4. React if you wish!
5. You can use this stuff for cr charts or you can even link to something you have written.
6. This is brought to you by irony from one of the more unfriendly characters in game.
Tadashi Hamada

And he doesn't want that to be the case.
At the same time? For him personally, Callaghan was always a point to strive for. The guy's a technical visionary that didn't get caught up in the money or fame of it all
Kreiand pushes other people to their full potential knowing what they're capable of - the same way of thinking Tadashi has for Hiro (and had he lived, everyone else in his life. Who knows what career direction he might've gone). So he was a mentor not only with robotics and his academics, but as a way to live and treat people as well; Robert never really talked down to anyone that Tadashi could see, only ever spoke in ways that would spike their interest/nerve and get the motivated to move again. And while Tadashi's a little more laid back in his attitudes to people, that's the sort of impact he wants to have when he gets down to it.And then there's that horrible horrible thing he blurted out and then promptly asked Robert to forget he said, about almost being the closest thing to a father he's had since his died, ha ha ha. Tadashi gets close to people very easily, and Callaghan taking him under his wing after reviewing his project's preliminary work only helped foster that view of him, as well as the little stuff we've talked about around the lab. Callaghan has that instinctive fatherly kind of personality when he's not being a teacher, and he can't help but see that.
But Tadashi also knows there's that ugly side, multiple stories confirmed it to him now. Knows what Callaghan is capable of and a little part of him is so afraid of that and why he's taken every chance to remind Robert the promise he's made here - to not start anything. Because if it comes down to Cal or his brother? He's going to choose his brother with the knowledge he has about the situation now. But he just really hopes it never comes down to that.

For all intents and purposes, Tadashi assumes Jaime knows what's going to happen to him.
That it came up vaguely off handed that one time he was asking about the porter and Jaime never said it out right or made any kind of comment beyond "worried about leaving Hiro". And he appreciates it so much. Jaime's a guy he can talk to and hang out with and it just never feels like it's a problem or something they're constantly looking over their shoulders for or that he's being watched/judged about. Not to mention among the colorful personalities of his friends both from home and here? It helps to have someone as chill as Jaime around he can ground himself with. Plus Jaime's general optimism is pretty welcome considering his housemates and the sheer amount of literal bullshit that happens in this place, it's nice to have a positive attitude around to sort of recharge himself around. Jaime's normal, there's no real baggage there that he has to deal with, no feelings he has to tiptoe around and it's so refreshing.
Also of importance is Jaime is the first person Tadashi talked to/made friends with that wasn't already associated with Hiro. WHICH SOUNDS ODD, but it was sort of a culture shock going from home where he was introducing Hiro to everyone to coming here where he keeps running into people Hiro's already known for months. So it's a little slice of (for him) normalcy that he mentally holds onto. Everyone else he's had that with (e.g. talking to before Hiro did) have left and now he and his brother are on even ground with that. Which isn't to say he doesn't want his brother making friends! It's just that he never realized how nice it is to have his own friends before having it switched on him like this - also helped by Hiro pushing him to have things for himself that Tadashi doesn't share with Hiro.
And now with the shared dreamscape, Jaime's probably the closest person (aside from Didi/Death) to knowing what's actually going on inside his head, even if Jaime likely doesn't fully understand it right now. Jaime knows there's fear and desperation and a need for answers there under all that big brother positivity and good attitude, something he's tried to keep carefully guarded from even his brother so he doesn't worry Hiro too much.
tldr if push came to shove and Tadashi needed someone quick to help him, Jaime would likely be the #1 first person he'd call.

Ken worries him. So. Much.
He reminds Tadashi of Hiro at that age if he hadn't been able to be there and Hiro took a different path. And that worries him even more. he doesn't know much of his story beyond the pieces Minato's told him and the runaway incident on top of it? Ken has firmly cemented his place in Tadashi's protective graces. Ken's obviously seen a lot more than he's letting on and doesn't want to talk about it, so Tadashi won't push him to. But he absolutely wants to be a source of trust and support whenever Ken needs it; he knows Ken has Minato and the rest of SEES as well as their friends, but on the off chance they aren't around or can help? He wants Ken to feel safe coming to him too.
If he really knew the full story about his mother and Shinjiro, he'd be a lot more protective of him but seeing as he doesn't, he just knows there's weird. Tension. Stuff. Between him and the rest of SEES. And now with his suicide attempt? He's in full on big brother mode until he knows Ken's in a stable position he can feel safe walking away for a little while. Which means he is going to be paid close attention to on the trip and when they get back to make sure he's really okay. He knows the healing process will take a lot longer than a few weeks on the road, but if they can help him these first few weeks, they're crucial.
All in all though, he likes Ken! Ken's really important to him and their friends and he wants the kid to be happy and have a chance to be a kid.
