When you come out of a probably year plus long dry spell and then suddenly you meet a wonderful lady who is totally okay with banging in a ball pit and going flamingo hunting in Key West with you, that’s like, maybe dying wasn’t the worst thing ever, okay.

… there’s zero emotional connection here but he’s okay with that because emotional connections terrify the everloving hell out of him and he’ll flee the state to avoid them, if possible, so like, A++, let’s continue being completely superficial and really into each other’s terrible senses of humor and flirting hideously and annoying everyone else around them and never have a feeling even once besides “you’re cute and you make me laugh.”
