Which is kind of a huge deal for her given how deep her trust issues run. A lot of it is admittedly less Naruto himself at this point and more that he has a lot of qualities that remind her of Steven, which is both startling and a little heartening. She's...not quite projecting, because she knows that he's not Steven and they haven't shared awful terrible gem-related experiences together, but it does make her more likely to go along with him than she might normally be at such an early point in a relationship.
That said, for all the positives she sees in him, she does find Naruto to be kind of overwhelming in terms of energy. Lapis is really passionate and feels all of her emotions very strongly, but she doesn't really show them most of the time? Additionally she can get burnt out very easily, so it's kind of mystifying to see someone like Naruto who seems to be running at full steam all the time. She has no idea where he gets all that energy from, nor does she understand where his fascination with things she views as mundane come from. Humans, man.
But he is incredibly kind - even more than she'd initially realized, after chatting with Gaara - and Lapis does like to be around him...even if she may have to build her exposure limit up slowly and incrementally.
