Olivier is. Complicated. He absolutely respects her and knows she has earned that rank within the military. She's hardly the first or only female that terrifies him either. But she does. He just doesn't always necessarily agree with some of her methods, even if he understands the basics idea behind her mantra and that of Briggs - survival of the fittest/strongest. Where he himself is so much more used to working as a team or simply try to get by as best he can just himself/himself and Al if anything. He's not used to admitting that harsh truth.

He knows she is Armstrong's sister. She's just. Basically his opposite so that's pretty disarming, at least initially. But then, he and Al are much the same, somewhat opposite in their own temperament for the most part. There's that soft spot she has for her men though that he can't help half smile about, the broken clock and all. For all her bluster over her men being expendable as herself, she won't let them die needlessly. He can admire that much at least.
