Ambient Song: New Order - Procession
Ambient Song Notes: I tried to find an instrumental but failed. The lyrics aren't as important to this one so much as the sound and its history. In that sound, Procession is a song of transition. It was New Order's second single after they formed following their previous band ending. The first single, Ceremony, great as it is, was a leftover Joy Division song, and it shows. Procession is when you start to hear them walking the path from the brooding post-punk they used to play to the supremely danceable electropop they would come to be known for. They weren't there yet, but the journey had certainly begun.
Kanaya, right now, is standing at the start of a similar road, trying to move from the moody teenager she's been to some kind of functioning adult. How well she'll make it along that path, or where she'll end up, those aren't really known just yet. Right now, she's still in transition.
