TL;DR QUESTIONS MEME

1. POST a top-level with your character name! 2. REPLY to other people's top-level with a question for that character! 3. ANSWER the question you were asked! 4. ASK a question of that person's characters in return! Questions can be anything you're curious about, from favorite food to a character's deepest motivations. Answers can be as long or as short as you feel like. Headcanon is fine. Whatever. Go wild! |

I honestly didn't work this out earlier so I'm glad you asked! Lemme think.
Vanessa McInnis aka that [gendered slur] that comes into his space without warning just to mess with things back there. He's done damage to her before and it just doesn't seem to stop her. She just won't let him terrorize her. On the other hand, she generally warns people away from him/doesn't let anyone mess with his stuff, which serves both their interests perfectly. In the early days when he wasn't a tyrant/seemed more a victim of his powers hiding in the dark corners, she was a lot nicer to him than now; I don't think they started off with negative CR. Which leads to this!
Thanks to his own internalized perceptions about the extent of what he can really do with his power, and self-esteem/evaluation problems, he actually assigns her some power in his mind. She displays no fear of him (though you bet she's probably afraid of him) or tolerance of his bullshit. She's probably thwapped him in the head once when he's tried doing stuff before to make him "knock that crazy shit off", and again when he tried to retaliate "Did you hear me?".
So naturally, he shoves her out of his way whenever possible and pits himself in an eternal struggle with her over the arcade in the way that only a teenager does. He hasn't killed her or severely hurt her for three reasons:
- he wants her to acknowledge him first/admit he's in charge of this place,
- she has learned to stay far, far away from him on bad days or when he seems to be in pain/when he would be likely to actually cause a severe danger to her for interfering.
- that takes way too much effort
So tldr, he refuses to see her as much more than a nuisance, sometimes something actually vaguely intimidating. Most days he refuses to admit he has any idea who she is or what her job position is.
