THE MISTLETOE MEME

It was a quiet moment in the imPort cities, when the next devious plot of an unknown organization was realized. With the holiday season upon all the town, bundles of mistletoe with interference technology hidden in the festive bows and pins holding them together was distributed throughout the town and into all the residences of the imPorts.

The interference technology creates a stasis field keeping imPorts trapped underneath it, protecting the mistletoe itself with a small barrier. However, it only seems able to hold two people at a time, and and the reaction of the nanites to sudden changes in chemistry brought on by embracing or kissing brings the stasis field crashing down, leaving the mistletoe vulnerable to destruction at that time.

It's up to you, imPorts, to break free of these mistletoe traps and destroy all the mistletoe in the cities!

  • Comment to the meme with your character(s). Specify if your character is open to kisses, hugs, or both!

  • Comment around to other characters, getting trapped in the mistletoe's radius! Or hunting the mistletoe down. Either way, bring on the hugs and/or kisses!

  • Have some light, silly, holiday fun!

[ Too bad for flowers, then. Hawke hates those. ]

Then maybe it'll wilt if I say enough mean things about it.

[ Bully the mistletoe, bully the mistletoe! Although, when Raina mentioned that little tradition, she's immediately less interested in the plant hanging overhead, instead looking back down and raising her eyebrows. ]

Oh? [ Okay, ignoring the entire 'stuck here' part, she can't help but let a smirk slide across her face. ] Well, that doesn't seem like such a bad demand after all.

[ But what about this flower dressed flower??? ]

And who are we, really, to stand in the way of tradition?

[ An innocent little shrug. Hey, it's not cheating if it's kissing under the magical mistletoe, right??? ]

[ She might make an exception for flowers with a personality, provided it isn't a "hi I'm a serial killer" one! ]

Well, I suppose respecting a tradition this one time won't do me wrong. [ Totally not cheating, he would probably appreciate the view, okay. All that said, she turns to lean down some towards Raina. ] But just this once.

[ Sorry....that's pretty much the standard personality for flowers. ]

Just once...? [ Her voice lowers, soft and seductive. Raina's gaze travels from her lips to her eyes and back down again. ]

That's an awfully restrictive stance to take.

[ But her hand comes up to rest against the side of Hawke's cheek, and she closes the distance -- lips brushing lips, so light and tentative until they lock into place for a more demanding kiss. ]

[ See, that, that's why she just doesn't like flowers. Flowers, be less murderous.

And Hawke may have had something cheeky to say in response, had Raina not moved on so determinedly to the kissing. Not that she would ever complain about that, of course. If anything, it's a fantastic way to rebut such a restrictive number for holiday respect. The mage presses on into the kiss with only a second or two left to surprise, automatically finding places to put her hands once the distance is closed. In this case, lightly on Raina's hips, the least offensive spot she can think of right now.

Though she does break the kiss off after a moment, more to let out a breathy laugh than anything else.
    ]

Or twice. Three times, tops, if you're convincing enough.

[ There are absolutely no complaints about the placement of the hands. Raina may even just slide a bit closer so that Hawke has a better grip. And as the kiss disappointingly tapers off, she still lingers close -- lashes fluttering open so she could meet Hawke's eyes appreciatively. ]

Three would be a fair number. Once for the mistletoe. Once for me. And the final time for you. Or maybe just twice for me. I am a bit selfish when it comes to these things.
whathawksdo: (i can live with that)

Mm, then you're in luck. I think I can live with that sort of selfishness.

[ And while Hawke doesn't move away, instead staying just as close as Raina is, with no real inclination to take her hands back, well, there is that very brief flicker where she looks up towards the mistletoe. ]

Even though I do believe we can do something about the barrier now.

[ It is down, after all. ]

We could. I guess you're right.

[ There's a brief glance around their surroundings. Mistletoe barrier is down, they can go on their way. But why would they, really? The holidays are all about a little indulgence. ]

But if I didn't take advantage of our current situation, I wouldn't be true to myself.

[ Don't mind her as she takes the chance to cash in on that second owed kiss of the promised three. ]
