THE MISTLETOE MEME

It was a quiet moment in the imPort cities, when the next devious plot of an unknown organization was realized. With the holiday season upon all the town, bundles of mistletoe with interference technology hidden in the festive bows and pins holding them together was distributed throughout the town and into all the residences of the imPorts.

The interference technology creates a stasis field keeping imPorts trapped underneath it, protecting the mistletoe itself with a small barrier. However, it only seems able to hold two people at a time, and and the reaction of the nanites to sudden changes in chemistry brought on by embracing or kissing brings the stasis field crashing down, leaving the mistletoe vulnerable to destruction at that time.

It's up to you, imPorts, to break free of these mistletoe traps and destroy all the mistletoe in the cities!

Comment to the meme with your character(s). Specify if your character is open to kisses, hugs, or both!

Comment around to other characters, getting trapped in the mistletoe's radius! Or hunting the mistletoe down. Either way, bring on the hugs and/or kisses!

[ Dorian's response is, once he spots Toby, to try and walk over to him....and slams straight into the keep imPorts under the mistletoe stasis field.

[ She's just mean enough to let out a snort of amusement, her spirits lightened by that sight. ]

Here, there might be a break in the forcefield over on this side. Run into it full-force, that'll probably do it.

[brushoff]

[ and he just gives her a Look ]

Why don't you try instead?

Oh, because I'm not nearly so hard-headed.

[brushoff]

Neither am I, [ said with an eye-roll ]

[rathercommon]

Rubbish, you're not. Your skull is immune to being cracked open.

[brushoff]

Oh, so you were speaking literally? [ said so calmly. ] Metaphorically speaking, you're probably more hard-headed than me. Besides, have you ever heard that quote about insanity? It's doing the same thing over and over again while expecting different results.

[rathercommon]

Excuse you. I don't do the same thing over and over.

[ She does not take particular exception to the charge of hard-headedness, though. ]

And if that's the definition of insanity, you're a complete madman.

[brushoff]

I'm more bored than mad. [ and, as if to remind Kitty that hey, THEY'RE STILL STUCK UNDER THE MISTLETOE, Dorian pokes the barrier a bit. Come on, Kitty. This is gonna suck but it needs to be done. ]

[rathercommon]

[ She gives a grunt of frustration. And then she jerks her head. ]

Come here.

[brushoff]

[ He trots over to Kitty, giving her a small smirk. ] Shall I put my hand on your waist or is this strictly professional?

[rathercommon]

[ She growls in anger - actually literally growls - and responds: ]

Strictly professional. Hands to yourself.

[ She leans up, puckering her lips. ]

[brushoff]

[ Dorian makes a big show of putting his hands behind his back before he leans in and gives Kitty a quick, chaste, peck on the lips. ]

[rathercommon]

[ And she pulls back the moment their lips meet, and wipes her mouth off with the back of her wrist. Then she looks up. ]

Right. We can destroy this stuff now. Give me a boost up.

[brushoff]

I'll grab you around the waist, [ Dorian remarked, as he looked up at the mistletoe as well. ]

[rathercommon]

[ She looks at him with a scowl. ]

You better not.

[brushoff]

Why not? Hoisting you up that way is easier than hoisting your feet up with my hands like a cheerleader at an American football game. In case you've forgotten, I'm not all that strong.
