THE MISTLETOE MEME

It was a quiet moment in the imPort cities, when the next devious plot of an unknown organization was realized. With the holiday season upon all the town, bundles of mistletoe with interference technology hidden in the festive bows and pins holding them together was distributed throughout the town and into all the residences of the imPorts.

The interference technology creates a stasis field keeping imPorts trapped underneath it, protecting the mistletoe itself with a small barrier. However, it only seems able to hold two people at a time, and and the reaction of the nanites to sudden changes in chemistry brought on by embracing or kissing brings the stasis field crashing down, leaving the mistletoe vulnerable to destruction at that time.

It's up to you, imPorts, to break free of these mistletoe traps and destroy all the mistletoe in the cities!

[Sighing, he looks up at the mistletoe.]

I... I suppose it wouldn't hurt to try.

You know, I'm pretty sure you won't melt from it, if that's what you're worried about.

[governorkang]

I know. I - we - aren't as... comfortable with such things as humans.

[whathawksdo]

It'll only be one on your scaly little cheek, honest. Not bad at all, right?

[He snorts, and leans down so that she can reach. She's tall, but he's still taller at seven feet.]

Alright, let's see if this works.

[whathawksdo]

[ If it helps, she'll stand up on her tip-toes to reach all the easier. Scaly cheek in range, she'll just give him a light peck on it. ]

[governorkang]

[As she does so, the barrier around the mistletoe makes a sound much like static electricity discharging, deactivated. Kang is quick to set the plant on fire with a spell and step out from the doorway.]

Well, now that that is over, we should properly introduce ourselves. My name is Kang.

[ Huh. He beat her to the plant roast, but that's fine. Likewise, she'll step out from under where the mistletoe had been. Just in case. ]

Hawke. Not exactly the best way to meet, Kang, but at least it'll be a memorable one.
