The TL;DR Relationship Meme

♥ post with your characters - if you have a lot, consider a catch-all/nested comments under one header
♥ respond to other people's characters with your characters
♥ they tell you in detail what their character thinks of your character, ic or ooc! tl;dr is encouraged.
♥ then you react if you want!
♥ other people do the same thing to you! maybe you harvest your tl;dr to use in a CR chart later!
♥ this was stolen from a thousand billion people over the years, jesus, but this is an example of how it goes down
♥ everybody is gonna show up late to this party so don't even worry about it

pretend I'm on Connors' account because I would love babbling about Floyd & Connors

Gladly! I think that they could get along kind of weirdly well because they both have massive man-pain but, interestingly, go about handling their man-pain in different but kind of similar ways. Floyd, I think, is also secretly a nerd and reads a hella lot. His comics often have some sort of literary reference or a reference to him reading. But, the nerdy bit is less interesting than the man-pain.

Both had faced a considerable amount and, in their own ways, try to compensate (snerk) for it. Floyd had accidentally killed his older brother and, in doing so, killed off what little self-esteem he had. For Connors, he had lost his arm and, in doing so, also killed of what little self-esteem he had. Both, then, tried to rebuild themselves in their respective fields--Floyd less literally, via building up a professional reputation as an assassin, and Connors literally by finding a way to regrow an arm. They, then, both created these sordid, fantasy personalities--Floyd with making Deadshot and Connors with creating the Lizard. Deep down, I think Floyd is as ashamed of Deadshot as Connors is of the Lizard, but there's no way in hell he'll ever admit it. Whereas Connors is still attempting to keep up a semblance of a normal life and a normal personality, for the sake of his family, Floyd gave up on himself and his family, allowing Deadshot to consume whatever remained of Floyd Lawton (deciding Floyd Lawton wasn't worth saving, over this more, hyper-masculine persona). Floyd finds strength in Deadshot, whereas Connors still has enough of a conscience to actively try to reject the Lizard.
