Arguably one of three people who can make Lucifer feel actual emotion, which he is not a huge fan of, really. He felt bad stabbing Gabriel, and does actually blame his younger brother for that.

Having another chance to be bros here without the apocalypse is interesting? they haven't spent time together without other agendas since pre-fall and they are both different angels since then. It means Lucifer is on his toes around Gabe- and means that he is trying to keep gabe on his toes too- seeing as gabe is his biggest threat and also his biggest liability
