Kenzi baffles Floyd. He kind of has low emotional intelligence, so he couldn't really tell that Kenzi was hiding her angst. So, he really thinks she got over it quickly. And this isn't how things work in Floyd's world. Floyd is from Gotham and he had stints in Arkham, so he's very used to not seeing people healthy. Floyd also works in sort of a mechanical way. Because he owes Kenzi a favor, he pretty much figures that's all that she wants from him. Their relationship is purely professional. Their last conversation baffled him because it appeared that she wanted to get to know him outside of the professional context. And that weirded him out. Because those worlds don't mix in his mind--the social and the working worlds. Very few people he works with try to get to know him outside of that context, so he honestly didn't know what to do.

Haha, yeah. She's had years of practice at covering shit up. As far as getting to know him that's just part of her figuring out exactly how useful he would be. Yes, it can lead to genuinely wanting to know him but at the same time she does it just to see how she can use someone if she needs to. So yeah.
