Peej is a bit like Clark in that they know they are from different worlds, that they are different, but are more in tune with humans than anything else. In Peej's case, she struggled with that longer than Clark and lately does feel more outcast, though she won't admit it just yet.

But Kanaya is a lot like her and honestly? While she doesn't wish what they've gone through on anyone, Kanaya being in a similar situation, with similar experiences, makes her a person of interest. She really likes Kanaya and thinks for someone who hasn't integrated with humans all that long is a lot better about it than others she's ran into. She doesn't have that worry hanging over her head that Kanaya's going to do something that humans would deem weird or wrong and sees her as a surprisingly levelheaded, sweet, young lady so far.

So, Peej likes her and doesn't mind spending time with her at all if she gets the chances. Trolls are oddly fascinating to her and it is nice to have someone who kind of gets it, who is aware of both Karen Starr and Power Girl, to talk to. I foresee shopping and lunches and dinners. :')
