01. The city of Heropa is what one might expect from a small, bright and cheery place, where locals are friendly enough and local shop owners might offer a free drink to welcome you to their fair city. Some of the locals might thank you for always lending your service to the nation and others might not say anything. In fact, some people might back away from any imPort who quite obviously looks like they aren't from around the neighborhood. Once in a while there's a look of disdain on someone's face and hushed voices.

An upset, deeply masculine voice wonders aloud: "More of them, when we already know they can't protect us? That's just painting a bigger target on the city's back!"

"That's just what Ronald Chump says!" Exclaims a young woman. She raises her fist in anger at the imPort-hating individual. "We're not going to tolerate bigots here!"

02. De Chima, Virginia, is a large city with a healthy economy, and though it's quieter, there are just as many citizens awed at your presence. Science and technology are the lifeblood of this city, so you're likely to come across a good many locals taking your picture with the newest of devices. Be forewarned: since FanPort happened, imPort fandom is at a new height. Don't be surprised if people start following you just to see if you'll do anything TMZ-worthy.

The trick is to stay calm, and don't wig out if someone asks what you think about imPort shipping.

03. Maurtia Falls, Pennsylvania, is having a rainy day. The streets seem to be running with water, the sky can't seem to stop crying. You might want to check out some consumerism-inclined shelter, be that a smoky and dart-eyed bar full of grumbling locals, or a grimy and industrial coffee shop (full of grumbling locals). Watch your step, newly minted imPort, because if you let on that you're fresh meat then you're likely to attract a posse of two or three sharp knuckled no-good-dooers. This is the criminally exciting part of town, so beware.

04. Nonah, North Carolina, is the liveliest of all cities; loud, busy and there's some kind of energy in the air that gets everyone buzzing with excitement. There's a baseball game going on in one of the parks amidst all those tall buildings, and you're welcome to watch! It's not an official game in the season, it's more like a friendly skirmish between local baseball teams. Midway through the game, the umpire might take note of you new imPorts -- assuming you're standing out in the crowd. He'll welcome you to throw a pitch if you'd like! Of course, the opposing team isn't too keen on the idea. Better look for more imPorts to play ball!

[The Replica jumps back from the creature trying to examine him and pulls out his sword because he wants nothing to do with this creature.]

What is this thing?! Get back! [He starts moving away from Shiro, then finally notices the pigs as he jumps back from those as well.] Ugh! What are those?! They're disgusting!

Sam? [She matches his tone instinctively, though it's less of a shock for her than it may be for him.

Elena is still trying to lick his face and neck, wanting to give as much affection as she can to her long-missing owner.]

If anything, his oblique threat seems to settle her. The look she gives him is an odd one, like he'd just told a joke that fell flat. Still, better safe than sorry. She huffs again and musses at her hair for a moment, stalling for a long beat while she uses her imPort powers to send Inanna a text of her location and 'might need a ride home from a bad date. keep you updated.'


"Look. Lucifer's dead," is all she finally says.

Cool it, you're gonna scare them.

[Riku pushes the flat of Repliku's sword down. Shiro plops down on his butt, letting out a little whine.] They're pets. Friends.

[darkimitation]

[Repliku glares at him before making his sword vanish back into the darkness.]

Pets? [He looks at them again.] How these... things your friends?

[illuminescent]

I am more than skilled at warcraft, sir.

[There's a press of her lips together that makes it a smile, she's trying not to laugh too much.]

Have you not met pretty girls who are good at such things?

Yes, you will find it quite strange when none of the rabbits you pass say so much as a good day!

[Rabbits, of course, being very friendly.]

And I have chosen to not speak on the Talking Animals. I remembered that outside of Narnia they were not common, and so often people thought it strange or unnatural, and that would be no favor to any of them there to be thought as such here.

"Okay," she says, more as something to fill the space of conversation. It was hard to be necessarily excited to see Daryl given just how little they did know each other, but she felt he was sincere enough in his words that she should acknowledge him in kind. At least a little part of her started to feel relieved, too.

Why he was looking for her or how he knew to look for her puzzled her, though. But she nods, ignoring that part (for now) for the important part.

"No. Nothing does," she agrees. Nothing here still made sense sometimes. "You just get here? Or find Rick or Carl yet?" She figures he'd want to see them more, so she asks.

[He reaches out, rubs the dog between his ears. Shiro looks pleased, eyes closing.]

They like you no matter what. They can tell what kind of power I have, but they're not scared of it. Especially this guy. We've got a cat, too, but she lives inside.

.... You're too strange for having so many of these things as your "friends". [He starts making his way towards wherever the entrance to the house is, ignoring the so-called friends.]

Having animals around is a normal thing.

[For real. It's not Riku who's the strange one here. Shiro follows, but the pigs just kind of watch quietly. They're enjoying the shade.

There's a sliding glass door on this side of the house, on a shallow porch. Riku unlocks it (with an actual key) and pushes it open for him. The dog slips in between them, off to get a drink.]

[He ignores Riku's comments as he looks around the place.]

This? Well, at least it's better than the rooms in Castle Oblivion. Show me where my room is.

[Innana can't help but chuckle, but there's no malice or obvious condescension in the sound. Just amusement.]

It's slang. People say they're shipping someone when they're talking about who they want to see them dating.

[Inanna glances for the source of the feathers—still invisible? Whether they are or not his attention returns to Lucifer as soon as he speaks up again, exhaling in a low, thoughtful hum.]

Into a mysterious alleyway? You really do remind me of her. [He sounds almost amused and gestures for him to lead.] After you.

I have noticed the lack of animals, in general, or are they simply hiding? I've only seen humans and, well, house and tall structures.

We must leave the closeness of the city and go into the countryside.

On my rides I see so many - there is a badger that lives on my land, and an otter, and others, oh, Ed, you will see! How delightful it can be, truly.

02. De Chima

If this is what passed for the technological hub of 'America' (he still has his doubts about that) then he most certainly has his work cut out for him. This place is woefully primitive. There are backwater colonies in the far reaches of Human controlled space that look like technological marvels by comparison.

They would have been better off kidnapping an archeologist than him. He looks disapprovingly at the 'fancy new technology' being proudly displayed around him.

Okay, well, there are two open ones.

[He waves a hand for him to follow, heading down the hall to the stairs. The house is big -- all of the houses are big, actually. Five bedrooms, plus bathrooms for each? That's a lot of room. Riku indicates his and Sora's rooms, and their other roommate's spot, and then pauses.]

Right, so -- you can pick whichever empty one.

I'm picking the one furthest from yours. The further I am from you, the better.

[And he does just that. Because he absolutely refuses to be near Riku any more than he has to be.]
