01. The city of Heropa is what one might expect from a small, bright and cheery place, where locals are friendly enough and local shop owners might offer a free drink to welcome you to their fair city. Some of the locals might thank you for always lending your service to the nation and others might not say anything. In fact, some people might back away from any imPort who quite obviously looks like they aren't from around the neighborhood. Once in a while there's a look of disdain on someone's face and hushed voices.

An upset, deeply masculine voice wonders aloud: "More of them, when we already know they can't protect us? That's just painting a bigger target on the city's back!"

"That's just what Ronald Chump says!" Exclaims a young woman. She raises her fist in anger at the imPort-hating individual. "We're not going to tolerate bigots here!"

02. De Chima, Virginia, is a large city with a healthy economy, and though it's quieter, there are just as many citizens awed at your presence. Science and technology are the lifeblood of this city, so you're likely to come across a good many locals taking your picture with the newest of devices. Be forewarned: since FanPort happened, imPort fandom is at a new height. Don't be surprised if people start following you just to see if you'll do anything TMZ-worthy.

The trick is to stay calm, and don't wig out if someone asks what you think about imPort shipping.

03. Maurtia Falls, Pennsylvania, is having a rainy day. The streets seem to be running with water, the sky can't seem to stop crying. You might want to check out some consumerism-inclined shelter, be that a smoky and dart-eyed bar full of grumbling locals, or a grimy and industrial coffee shop (full of grumbling locals). Watch your step, newly minted imPort, because if you let on that you're fresh meat then you're likely to attract a posse of two or three sharp knuckled no-good-dooers. This is the criminally exciting part of town, so beware.

04. Nonah, North Carolina, is the liveliest of all cities; loud, busy and there's some kind of energy in the air that gets everyone buzzing with excitement. There's a baseball game going on in one of the parks amidst all those tall buildings, and you're welcome to watch! It's not an official game in the season, it's more like a friendly skirmish between local baseball teams. Midway through the game, the umpire might take note of you new imPorts -- assuming you're standing out in the crowd. He'll welcome you to throw a pitch if you'd like! Of course, the opposing team isn't too keen on the idea. Better look for more imPorts to play ball!

[He reaches out, rubs the dog between his ears. Shiro looks pleased, eyes closing.]

They like you no matter what. They can tell what kind of power I have, but they're not scared of it. Especially this guy. We've got a cat, too, but she lives inside.

.... You're too strange for having so many of these things as your "friends". [He starts making his way towards wherever the entrance to the house is, ignoring the so-called friends.]

Having animals around is a normal thing.

[For real. It's not Riku who's the strange one here. Shiro follows, but the pigs just kind of watch quietly. They're enjoying the shade.

There's a sliding glass door on this side of the house, on a shallow porch. Riku unlocks it (with an actual key) and pushes it open for him. The dog slips in between them, off to get a drink.]

[He ignores Riku's comments as he looks around the place.]

This? Well, at least it's better than the rooms in Castle Oblivion. Show me where my room is.

[resipiscent]

Okay, well, there are two open ones.

[He waves a hand for him to follow, heading down the hall to the stairs. The house is big -- all of the houses are big, actually. Five bedrooms, plus bathrooms for each? That's a lot of room. Riku indicates his and Sora's rooms, and their other roommate's spot, and then pauses.]

Right, so -- you can pick whichever empty one.

[darkimitation]

I'm picking the one furthest from yours. The further I am from you, the better.

[And he does just that. Because he absolutely refuses to be near Riku any more than he has to be.]

[resipiscent]

[You baby.]

You're welcome.

One more thing. Stay out of my room, got it?

I wasn't... really thinking about it.

[He doesn't even have anything in there...]

Good. Stay out and don't ever come in here.

Well, whatever, then. Be nice to my animals, then, if we're laying down ground rules.

Why should I have to? They're not my friends, I could care less.

[resipiscent]

You don't have to interact with them. Just don't hurt them.

Fine fine, whatever. What other rules are you going to put on me?

[resipiscent]

I'm not going to. I already told you I don't really care what you do, just don't cause trouble.

[darkimitation]

I'll do what I want, Real Thing. So don't get in my way.

[Riku sighs gently.]

Look, this world has rules of its own. If you don't play by them, you'll be either fined or imprisoned. And you have no money, first of all, and I doubt you want to be stuck in a cage for months.

But anyway, have fun.

[darkimitation]

[The Replica stomps right up to his original and glares.]

Don't say things like that then act as if you're going to walk off. Tell me what you're talking about now.

[Well, really.]

You didn't seem interested, so I didn't think you'd care. But this world -- they're at war, but their general rules are geared toward peace. You can't kill a person, or steal a thing, or things like that. Fighting is usually not okay, but imPorts seem to get a pass.

[darkimitation]

[He listens, but then looks disappointed and annoyed.]

What? You mean I can't kill you here? Ugh, that's such a pain. Way to ruin my plans.

[resipiscent]

I mean, you can. But you'll get in shit for it.

[He'd just come back, anyway. What's the point?]

[darkimitation]

Ugh. I'll have to find a different way to do it then.

[Yes, he's already planning on how to get rid of Riku without getting caught.]

[resipiscent]

Ah, yes. Good idea, telling your victim your plans.

[darkimitation]
