01. The city of Heropa is what one might expect from a small, bright and cheery place, where locals are friendly enough and local shop owners might offer a free drink to welcome you to their fair city. Some of the locals might thank you for always lending your service to the nation and others might not say anything. In fact, some people might back away from any imPort who quite obviously looks like they aren't from around the neighborhood. Once in a while there's a look of disdain on someone's face and hushed voices.

An upset, deeply masculine voice wonders aloud: "More of them, when we already know they can't protect us? That's just painting a bigger target on the city's back!"

"That's just what Ronald Chump says!" Exclaims a young woman. She raises her fist in anger at the imPort-hating individual. "We're not going to tolerate bigots here!"

02. De Chima, Virginia, is a large city with a healthy economy, and though it's quieter, there are just as many citizens awed at your presence. Science and technology are the lifeblood of this city, so you're likely to come across a good many locals taking your picture with the newest of devices. Be forewarned: since FanPort happened, imPort fandom is at a new height. Don't be surprised if people start following you just to see if you'll do anything TMZ-worthy.

The trick is to stay calm, and don't wig out if someone asks what you think about imPort shipping.

03. Maurtia Falls, Pennsylvania, is having a rainy day. The streets seem to be running with water, the sky can't seem to stop crying. You might want to check out some consumerism-inclined shelter, be that a smoky and dart-eyed bar full of grumbling locals, or a grimy and industrial coffee shop (full of grumbling locals). Watch your step, newly minted imPort, because if you let on that you're fresh meat then you're likely to attract a posse of two or three sharp knuckled no-good-dooers. This is the criminally exciting part of town, so beware.

04. Nonah, North Carolina, is the liveliest of all cities; loud, busy and there's some kind of energy in the air that gets everyone buzzing with excitement. There's a baseball game going on in one of the parks amidst all those tall buildings, and you're welcome to watch! It's not an official game in the season, it's more like a friendly skirmish between local baseball teams. Midway through the game, the umpire might take note of you new imPorts -- assuming you're standing out in the crowd. He'll welcome you to throw a pitch if you'd like! Of course, the opposing team isn't too keen on the idea. Better look for more imPorts to play ball!

[It's still an adjustment, whoops. He's usually better at keeping track of time, but so much has happened, and the way these people track days is so different... it's the hardest adjustment yet.]

[ he hasn't spent much time in the housing he was given here. it makes him claustrophobic and there's so many weird things that make noises at him there. he's told it isn't magic, but.. that doesn't explain what any of it is.

he shifts in his seat, fingers toying with a few strands of his hair as he glances out over the shop. ] .. I've noticed that. I was expecting more complaints than I've gotten. After all, being the Inquisitor doesn't mean anything here. .. But they don't seem to care that I'm an elf.

[ he glances back toward bull again, flipping his braid absently over his shoulder. ]

So you said that Sera and Hawke are both here? Did they arrive at the same time as you? [ and dorian left. .. how? ]

Hey, you get used to it. Just wait until you see the technology they've got. And I don't mean just the cars.

[No, there's hot tubs with jets and fancier food than Orlais and bubble tea and better indoor plumbing than anything else, and video games and kaiju movies and holy shit, this is gonna be fun. Showing it all off is going to be fun. And a nice distraction from bullshit.]

[He leaves the sentence open and suggestive -- a different sort than Bull usually attempts to suggest. Hoping to lighten the mood a bit.]

Nah, no one cares about that crap, here. There's different issues. But no one cares who's an elf and who isn't.

[Except they're all sort of unnerved by Bull. But he's all right with that.]

Not sure. Hawke maybe. Sera... shit, someone had to tell me she was even around before I could bump into her. You know how she is.

[ his mouth quirks up. ] A lot of this technology seems a little excessive-- [ says the hippie elf who walks around barefoot in skyhold's gardens. ] --but I'm looking forward to learning about it all.

[ please introduce him to bubble tea and kaiju movies, bull. .. actually, movies in general. and don't judge him if he ends up being a fan of sappy romances.

bull affirms what he'd already guessed, but it's still.. strange. being surrounded by so many humans, he still expects to hear some kind of slur, or at least get dirty looks. but if he gets them here, they'll have nothing to do with his being an elf, and everything to do with the fact that he's simply not from this world. it's.. strange.

when bull continues, it drags him out of his thoughts, and he laughs briefly at the mention of sera. ] Yes, you have a point. I suppose I'll have to see if I can contact her. [ some..how.. ] Do you live nearby?

Excessive? Hell no. The food alone is perfect.

[At least in The Iron Bull's humble opinion. Movie Nights are great nights. Thanks to everyone for introducing them to him. It's the least he can do to repay the favor.]

[In order to demonstrate the point, he pops open the box on the table. A pink box. Full of fancy donuts from the little shop up the road. He nods at them, offering one up to Lavellan.]

Couldn't hurt. She'll probably be excited. [A shrug at the question.] Nah, I live in another city. Pop over here every so often for the food.

[ mahanon stares down at the offered pastries with something like amazement. they look like something straight out of one of the orlesian court's elaborate parties. doesn't that mean they're expensive?

still, if bull's offering, it can't hurt to try one. he plucks one of the less brightly-iced ones out of the box, tearing off a piece to try. it earns a wide-eyed blink down at the rest of the donut after he's done so. ]

.. Oh. These are really good. [ seriously, how much money had these cost? maybe he should save the rest of this one.. no, nevermind, who is he kidding? he takes an actual bite next time.

right, though. sera. ] I hope so. It'll be good to see her. --Traveling just like that, though? I suppose those.. cars.. would help. [ even if he's struggling to imagine bull in a car. ]

[He's totally watching with glee. A lot of glee. It's not much, but hey. If he can take the load off someone who needs it, job well done. Not to mention his store discount. Given how he basically keeps the place in business, they tend to be a little on the generous side with his "dozen".]
