HE TOLD ME SEVERAL TIMES THAT HE DIDN'T LIKE MY KIND

TEST DRIVE MEME
Considering apping into MASK OR MENACE? Want to dip your toes into the setting and get a feel of whether your character will fit into it? Or maybe you're just cruising and want to play around? Then you've come to the right place!
Pick any of the following scenarios below or feel free to make up your own, but don't be afraid to throw yourself at someone else's thread, either!
And remember to have fun!01. The city of Heropa is what one might expect from a small, bright and cheery place, where locals are friendly enough and local shop owners might offer a free drink to welcome you to their fair city. Some of the locals might thank you for always lending your service to the nation and others might not say anything. In fact, some people might back away from any imPort who quite obviously looks like they aren't from around the neighborhood. Once in a while there's a look of disdain on someone's face and hushed voices.
An upset, deeply masculine voice wonders aloud: "More of them, when we already know they can't protect us? That's just painting a bigger target on the city's back!"
"That's just what Ronald Chump says!" Exclaims a young woman. She raises her fist in anger at the imPort-hating individual. "We're not going to tolerate bigots here!"
02. De Chima, Virginia, is a large city with a healthy economy, and though it's quieter, there are just as many citizens awed at your presence. Science and technology are the lifeblood of this city, so you're likely to come across a good many locals taking your picture with the newest of devices. Be forewarned: since FanPort happened, imPort fandom is at a new height. Don't be surprised if people start following you just to see if you'll do anything TMZ-worthy.
The trick is to stay calm, and don't wig out if someone asks what you think about imPort shipping.
03. Maurtia Falls, Pennsylvania, is having a rainy day. The streets seem to be running with water, the sky can't seem to stop crying. You might want to check out some consumerism-inclined shelter, be that a smoky and dart-eyed bar full of grumbling locals, or a grimy and industrial coffee shop (full of grumbling locals). Watch your step, newly minted imPort, because if you let on that you're fresh meat then you're likely to attract a posse of two or three sharp knuckled no-good-dooers. This is the criminally exciting part of town, so beware.
04. Nonah, North Carolina, is the liveliest of all cities; loud, busy and there's some kind of energy in the air that gets everyone buzzing with excitement. There's a baseball game going on in one of the parks amidst all those tall buildings, and you're welcome to watch! It's not an official game in the season, it's more like a friendly skirmish between local baseball teams. Midway through the game, the umpire might take note of you new imPorts -- assuming you're standing out in the crowd. He'll welcome you to throw a pitch if you'd like! Of course, the opposing team isn't too keen on the idea. Better look for more imPorts to play ball!

Shut up! Maybe if you weren't acting in a way to piss me off, I wouldn't have done it!

[He knows he won't have forgotten about it -- but it's better than nothing.]
no subject
How about you quit it with that attitude and maybe I won't want to fight you.

[He's gonna let him enjoy it -- he doesn't see any harm in it. For now, anyway. Riku turns from him again, picking up his knife again.]
Look, I promise, I'll fight you later. But later, and outside the house.
no subject
[And he starts making his way out to the backyard. He's got some pigs to mess with.]
no subject
As it is, he sets the knife down. He's ready to open a portal to outside, if he has to -- but he also knows that Repliku is underestimating the pig. He's kind of curious to see what'll happen.]
no subject
What's so special about an ugly thing like you? Let's see how special you are when I'm done with you. [And of course he's bringing his sword down to strike Yamada down.]
no subject
Riku moves slowly to the door, leaning on the frame now. He'll interfere if this goes further -- but he's kind of curious, too.]
no subject
[He decides to give the pig another poke with his sword to see if it's even trying because of how slow it's moving. Not to mention its size.]
Maybe I should make you into a dinner.

[Repliku does see a few trash cans in the backyard and gets an idea. Instead of fighting the pig, he makes his sword disappear then attempts to pick it up so he can throw it into the near by trash cans.]
no subject
As soon as Repliku wraps his arms around him, Yamada lunges -- he's very obviously aiming for his gut, but ends up closer to his upper arm than his belly. Either way, he's clearly hoping to cause some damage. Riku had considered sanding his tusks into a rounder tip, so they'd be less dangerous, but then he figured he might need to protect himself sometime. So they're as sharp as they ever were.]
no subject
Oh now you've done it. [Someone looks even more pissed off as he brings forth his sword again.] I'm cutting you into pieces.

Get out of my way, Real Thing! [He's even got a look of murder in his eyes as he puts himself in a fighting stance.] Forget about later. We're doing this now.
no subject
[Yamada's smart enough not to headbutt Riku -- they smell similar, but they're different sizes, so he's not fooled by the resemblance. As soon as Riku tags in, though, off he goes to flop in the shade again.]
I told you not to mess with my animals.
no subject
[He readies himself though and is absolutely ready to give Riku a beat down.]
Come on already, I'm tired of waiting.
no subject
[Riku sighs, nodding after a moment.]
Okay. I'm ready when you are.
no subject
[He learned from their last encounter not to underestimate Riku, but at the same time, he knows he's weak. Even if he did throw him against a wall, he got right back up again. Thus, he charges straight at his original in a fury.]
no subject
[Riku holds his ground, parries the hit again. As he forces Repliku's blade off his, he sweeps his free hand forward, casting Thundaga, and at the same time leaps backward, out of the way of the spell. It's so close-range that he'd been in danger of getting hit himself if he'd stayed still.]
no subject
You... [He looks a bit terrifying now as he grips his free hand now holding the Soul Eater. He's beyond angry and pissed off, so very beyond it.] No! I won't allow myself to lose again! I'll beat you, even if it means taking my own life to do it!
no subject
[Riku frowns, shifting his weight a little. First of all: he knows he's serious, which... is kinda sad. But also, it makes no sense.]
If you die too, you can't savour the victory.
no subject
[He then darts forward quickly to attack Riku, but changes his mind the last moment, to do his Helm Split attack as he jumps into the air then thrust his sword down on Riku from above.]
