01. The city of Heropa is what one might expect from a small, bright and cheery place, where locals are friendly enough and local shop owners might offer a free drink to welcome you to their fair city. Some of the locals might thank you for always lending your service to the nation and others might not say anything. In fact, some people might back away from any imPort who quite obviously looks like they aren't from around the neighborhood. Once in a while there's a look of disdain on someone's face and hushed voices.

An upset, deeply masculine voice wonders aloud: "More of them, when we already know they can't protect us? That's just painting a bigger target on the city's back!"

"That's just what Ronald Chump says!" Exclaims a young woman. She raises her fist in anger at the imPort-hating individual. "We're not going to tolerate bigots here!"

02. De Chima, Virginia, is a large city with a healthy economy, and though it's quieter, there are just as many citizens awed at your presence. Science and technology are the lifeblood of this city, so you're likely to come across a good many locals taking your picture with the newest of devices. Be forewarned: since FanPort happened, imPort fandom is at a new height. Don't be surprised if people start following you just to see if you'll do anything TMZ-worthy.

The trick is to stay calm, and don't wig out if someone asks what you think about imPort shipping.

03. Maurtia Falls, Pennsylvania, is having a rainy day. The streets seem to be running with water, the sky can't seem to stop crying. You might want to check out some consumerism-inclined shelter, be that a smoky and dart-eyed bar full of grumbling locals, or a grimy and industrial coffee shop (full of grumbling locals). Watch your step, newly minted imPort, because if you let on that you're fresh meat then you're likely to attract a posse of two or three sharp knuckled no-good-dooers. This is the criminally exciting part of town, so beware.

04. Nonah, North Carolina, is the liveliest of all cities; loud, busy and there's some kind of energy in the air that gets everyone buzzing with excitement. There's a baseball game going on in one of the parks amidst all those tall buildings, and you're welcome to watch! It's not an official game in the season, it's more like a friendly skirmish between local baseball teams. Midway through the game, the umpire might take note of you new imPorts -- assuming you're standing out in the crowd. He'll welcome you to throw a pitch if you'd like! Of course, the opposing team isn't too keen on the idea. Better look for more imPorts to play ball!

[Once she said all that, she lowers the item and lays on the table with an exasperated expression.]

It's the most tedious. For absolutely no reason whatsoever. Other than to show off your class or whatever. I rather help water crops, build fences, or chop wood. Anything is better than etiquette or learning poetry or dance lessons.

....Yup. Boring. I do fine and I never learned all that.

[Yuu everyone knows you are a brat and never had a hope of picking all that sort of thing up. Being the opposite of polite and he admits that.]

The other stuff sounds way more useful if you ask me. But then I guess Guren and Shinya and all that, the higher ups are probably more used to the formal nonsense.

[drizzle]

You don't need it. Or anyone for that matter. There shouldn't be a "correct" way to do anything.

[All said with finger quotes. She totally agrees with Yuu in that case.]

I feel sorry for them already, but it's what it is.

[With all that said, it won't be long until she smiles.]

It's great to meet someone that understands though. I think I want to see you again when I'm more settled in. What's your name, by the way? I don't think we've exchanged our own names yet.

Don't. I'm not sorry.

[That is because you are a brat and are still burying how pissed off and worried you are about Guren, Yuu. Please.....]

But uh, I'm Yuu. Yuichiro Hyakuya.

[Amane, actually. But he himself doesn't recall his actual last name so he sticks with the name of the orphanage.]

[There will be some laughter at that response. She couldn't help find it pretty comical. The timing was perfect.]

Then I won't! It sounds like he had it coming any way.

[She'll extend her hand his way.]

It's nice to meet you, Yuichiro. I'm Nike Lemercier.

[She would have added the official title to her name, but decided against it. This was a friendly encounter, not a political dinner party. And besides, she didn't want politics to get in the way of her friendships with people.]

He did. He always does. [Guren has his moments but that doesn't dissuade Yuu sometimes getting frustrated with the guy who took him in and all.]

Nike then.

[He takes the offered hand, trying not to think back on when he first met the Hyakuya orphans. When Mika had extended his hand in introduction all those years ago. This was something so simple, so normal. Yuu is just still figuring this social stuff out, in many ways, even if he's making huge progress.]

[drizzle]

[She couldn't help laugh a little at that response. Yuu, please. She can sense the affection underneath those words.]

That's right! Be as casual around me as you can. [And since they're going that route.] Do you mind if I call you "Yuu" instead? Your full first name, somehow, sounds way too serious, and it's pretty long too.

[dejerate]

Yuu is fine. It's what most people call me. [That, or 'idiot'. Either way. The only name he wouldn't be as okay with her or anyone else aside from Mika using would be 'Yuu-chan', probably.]

[drizzle]

Then I'll do too.

[She'll squeeze his hand.]

It's very nice to meet you, Yuu. Thank you so much for looking after me today. I appreciate the company, and hope to see you again.

[dejerate]

Ah, yeah, sure. I'm sure we'll probably see each other around. [After all, Heropa isn't so huge. Assuming she lives here too, of course. She might, if this is supposed to be where her housing is. So he gives a nod, trying not to look too flustered as he then withdraws his hand and gives a wave.]
