The ability to wield fire is a great responsibility, one I'm certain you couldn't handle, Dorian.

But why this obsession with showing me up at all? When you could wish for any power you desire...even the power to right the wrongs you've made in the past.

Why would I want to do that? My wrongs are as much as a part of my character as my immortality is. What are we if not the sum of our parts?

Hardly what I'd expected... I'd have imagined you'd want something to put all the fires out, or maybe prevent other people from starting them in the first place.

Putting out fires won't stop people from getting kidnapped! Besides, I know just how painful the damn things are.
