Sentient animals aren't really common knowledge back in my world so I have to pretend to be a mindless pet most of the time. My family doesn't even know I'm anything like this.

I don't know if I'm exactly on "friend" terms with them, but pretty much every agent who lives with an adopted family has to pretend that they're a mindless pet.

We're forced to either relocate or wipe our family's memories if they found out
