N-no, I heard you. I'm just not sure what's so distracting about my hair. I mean, unless you count it being....everywhere. It's just naturally like that though. And I never really thought about my smile or anything.

No kidding. I can tell as much. It's obvious he isn't as stoic or prickly as he likes everyone to believe. Not with the way he reacts around you. Someone who was truly stoic and prickly wouldn't react like that, no matter who it was.

I think it's a really good sign that it isn't. I'd be worried if it were the case. [But it isn't. There is still hope for Mika to grow. He only needs time for his heart to heal a bit first.]

I wouldn't blame him. [Considering everything. It's amazing that Mika has come out of his situation back home with as much of his humanity as he has. Being forced to live with and cooperate with the vampires for so long. For half his life.]
