cofagrigus: a creepy egyptian-inspired ghost type. ancient cetra are basically ancient egyptians from the remains of their temples we see in the games. also i'm terrible and had to include a ghost type.
roserade: pretty AND deadly, just the way aerith likes them.
sylveon: because i can't not give aerith the ribbon pokemon.
audino: a rare healer pokemon. it can also sense people's emotions like a certain flower girl.
trubbish: she's still a slum girl at heart. also, it's cute.

Yamask: "Each of them carries a mask that used to be its face when it was human. Sometimes they look at it and cry." I mean, you know. Kind of speaks for itself. Yamask and Hazel both have memories of a lost identity they can almost reach out to but never truly embrace again. This thing is probably the clingiest thing ever and constantly curled around Hazel's neck or on her shoulders. It's embarrassing.

Dusknoir: The pokemon version of the Grim Reaper, a constant reminder that Hazel's time in this world is unnatural. It wants to cross her over but hasn't found the opportunity yet.

Banette: Who else could possibly love an ugly grudge doll? It even fights by hurting itself. When people aren't around she plays dress-up and pretend with it so it can have the traditional childhood experience it missed out on by being chucked in the garbage.

Pumpkaboo: Ok first of all this thing is fucking adorable? And Hazel carves a crazy number of jack-o-lanterns every Halloween. It also happens to be a spirit that tries to do good while trapped in this world itself. It likely gravitated towards Hazel because of their similar states. I don't know whether it being Small or Super sized would be funnier, please advise.

Mimikyu: Like this guy wasn't going on her team. It's a hideous thing that disguises itself as something it's not in an attempt to be accepted and finally have some friends. The fact that its costume is so unconvincing just strikes an even deeper chord with Hazel, who also doesn't feel like her masquerade is very effective.

Mismagius: The closest thing to a 'starter' she'd have, Mismagius represents the witch that resurrected her. It's cruel and unkind and takes particular delight in seeing Hazel unhappy, but she hasn't found a way to get rid of it yet. At this point she's probably stopped trying.

Elekid: Its physical appearance is so much like that of Shigechi's Harvest that this pokemon is his stand-in.
Smeargle: For Rohan. Because it simply can't resist inking everything.
Froslass: Although ghost types make Josuke uneasy, this one is pretty and strong and it's all for Reimi.
Feebas: ...slow and dimwitted and a bit shabby looking, this wonderfully stupid fish is for Okuyasu. It's also Josuke's second favorite next to his Empoleon.
Exploud: Is sort of a two-for-one in that its colors are very Star Platinum (for Jotaro) and its everything else is very Echoes (for Koichi).
