Is there a reason for the question?

It was one of the first ones I recognized myself. I was wondering if it was just my experience, or more common. I don't get to have a lot of conversations with other sentient droids experiencing their first instances of emotions or reactions.

[ He still hesitates for a moment. ]

The first emotion I noticed was jealousy. I don't think it was the first one I experienced, only the first one that drew attention to the shift.

Jealousy?

[That's a particularly strong one.]

Of what?

I mentioned my friend Booster, he's been my companion for years now. He's the reason I haven't been working security in a museum anymore. We've been through a lot together.

I'm not his only friend, though. He has another best friend, Ted Kord. To make a long story short, I came to the realization that I resented how much time and effort he was putting into Mr. Kord, and when I noted how unreasonable that was I realized I was jealous.

[That sounds... devastatingly familiar.]

[Good thing HE doesn't have to confess anything, huh???]

How did you "get over it?"

I was quickly distracted by Booster's need for my assistance, and by the time I had considered it again...

[ He's not entirely sure how to explain a whole lot of time travel shenanigans in a quick, easy way. ]

Well, things had changed. Mr. Kord was gone again and Booster needed my support more than he needed my judgement.

In this world, oddly enough, Booster is not an imPort but Mr. Kord is, and spending time with him has given me a different perspective on things. His relationship with Booster is not the same as mine, and that helps.

Yes. Different people have different needs, and sometimes you can't fulfill all those needs by yourself. That doesn't mean your contribution isn't valued.
