TL;CR MEME

STEP ONE: Post with your character!
STEP TWO: Respond to other people's characters with your characters. They will then tell you, in detail, what their character thinks of yours -- and as per the meme's title, tl;dr is encouraged, but not necessary! Don't be afraid to ask others for their characters' first impressions of yours as well.
STEP THREE: Write out tl;dr for whoever comments to you in return.
STEP FOUR: Chat with each other in mutual joy/horror/disgust/delight/confusion at where your CR has gone!
BONUS: Use this for writing up CR charts, or if you already have them written, link to them!

There was never a moment that Noah and Ronan met, not that either of them can recall - Noah wasn't, and then he was, and he knew all of these brilliant boys inside and out, and he felt his purpose with them. It was kind of like the Big Bang, but without any beginning or any middle. There was non-existence, and then there was the Raven Boys.

Noah was dead and sad, and Ronan was alive and sad - but somehow, they always seemed to cancel out into something different. Noah wasn't quite sure who he'd been when he was alive, but Ronan filled in the gaps. Ronan made him reckless, silly, relaxed, and even when he didn't believe Noah's comments about being dead, he seemed to take a special care with him. And Noah knew about the dreaming, probably from the start. He knew what tore up Ronan's veins, he knew where the baby bird came from, he knew about the terrors before they ever escaped Ronan's head. It all terrified him, but it never scared him away from Ronan. Ronan was always a gentle giant.

Then he came here, and met a Ronan who had no care or gentleness for him, who treated him with disgust and disdain, and it broke his heart. He still keeps a lot of that secret, because he doesn't need Ronan feeling any worse about himself, but it affected him pretty severely for a long time. Had he not been so utterly alone when Ronan returned earlier this year, he might not have welcomed him so easily and given him another chance.

Ronan is his best friend and his favorite companion now, just as it was at home, but more. Whatever terrible, bitter person he might become in the future, right now Noah has no doubt that this boy loves him completely, and just being with him feels like a really amazing hug. Their weeks alone, following Noah's months of solitude, did bring a fairly unfortunate sense of codependency to his end of the relationship, but that's nothing new for any of these boys. There is nowhere in any world he feels safer than when he's tucked up against Ronan's side.

Junseo is basically the only non-Raven friend that Noah had for a very long time, so he still holds a special place in his heart, even if their friendship has mostly consisted of talking about dogs and doing stupid stunts and running into benches. In a lot of ways, Junseo sort of reminds Noah of who he was before he died, and that's one reason it was so easy to forgive and forget about the Soviet thing - Noah was quick to understand that he never would have done it on purpose, despite his usual propensity for keeping grudges out of fear.

Junseo is extremely good-looking, and sometimes that's a Problem. Content as he is to just sit and goof off with the llama, he does think an awful lot about how much he just wants to make out with him. Blame it on Noah's seven years being surrounded by hot guys, but unable to do anything about it. In any case, he wouldn't let his monumental thirst get in the way of anything else. Junseo is a chill dude and they have a fairly normal time together. That's a valuable asset, when most of your other friends are wizards or magical artifacts.

Adam is the person who's always felt the most separate from Noah. Where Noah is timid and emotional, Adam is fierce and analytical. Where Noah is vague and soft, Adam is sharp and relentless. Adam wields magic like a science he can harness; Noah exists on the tides and whims of magic.

For a long time, he and Adam were cordial and pleasant. They talked over pizza (that Noah never touched) and homework (that Noah never did), and treated each other kindly. With the sacrifice, though, and Adam causing Whelk's death, Noah was almost a little frightened by him. He was a creature of power and ambition, and Noah was a scrap of a dead thing tied to the same line he'd woken up. And once they came here, Adam's mutual discomfort with Noah did nothing to warm their relationship. Noah was a mess of very alive emotions, and Adam was a logical mind. While he didn't share Ronan's cruelty, he didn't tolerate Noah's violent mood swings.

Right away, things were different this time. Adam's blunt disdain for his past-future self was a reassurance, and Noah was glad enough to see another friendly face that he was able to will himself to move past their Soviet hellscape of a reintroduction. It quickly became clear that Adam held no disdain for him, and while there's still a disconnect when it comes to their ways of handling strong emotion, Noah has finally eased into the new relationship. He knows now that he brings out Adam's gentle side, and it makes him feel needed, like there's a place for him in the tangled, intense web that is the other three boys.

Noah loves all these boys just as much, but the simple fact of the matter is this - Gansey is his reason to be. Gansey is his purpose. Gansey is the only thing that gave Noah's death any meaning. Every time he gets bitter and angry and jealous about his own fate, he thinks about what it did for a ten-year-old boy a hundred miles away, and he feels a little better.

At heart, both of them are very gentle people, and together they bring it out tenfold. They have always been able to be honest and soft with one another, in a way that they can't manage with Ronan and Adam, or even Blue sometimes, and Noah makes a good companion during long bouts of insomnia, holding out pieces of cardboard with quiet hands and nodding with understanding. His affection and need for Gansey only grew when they finally got to be alive together here, and Noah was able to feel what it's like to hold this amazing boy in his arms and comfort him. He was the first one Noah admitted his love to, in such words, and that's only grown in the year since.

Noah doesn't believe in soulmates, but he knows that he and Gansey fit together in a way that's precious and rare. They're still so careful and quiet with each other though, afraid of breaking, and as much as Noah cherishes just sitting and enjoying each other's company, he wants to be as alive as possible with him while they have the chance.

In about eight years of being dead, Noah hasn't met another person who's actually experienced the effects of being a Dead Thing, per se. And while it's horrible and devastating to know what Karen went through, he can't say that he dislikes having someone who knows what it's like. On a lighter note, he thinks she's adorable and kind and funny, and he's already made up his mind to be her friend. Noah's way of attaching himself to new friends is compared in canon to a labrador retriever, in that he "would immediately do anything" for them, and just being sweet and having so much in common with him has already thrown Karen into that category.
