01.The city of Heropa is what one might expect from a small, bright and cheery place, where locals are friendly enough and local shop owners might offer a free drink to welcome you to their fair city. Today, a downtown park is hosting a "Last Blast of Winter" event that features a snowman-sculpting contest (using artificial snow, naturally), downhill sledding in the form of a giant, inflatable slip 'n slide, and snowflake-shaped and -themed food from the kiosks running along one side of the park—along with ice cold drinks, of course.

However, a trio of teen would-be supervillains have cobbled together backpack-mounted ice machines capable of freezing people solid at worst and making them, like, really shivvery at best. After emerging onto the scene with a shout, they're threatening to take attendees hostage if they don't get their demands: 500 Flitcoins, the amazing new cryptocurrency. Hero, will you try to stop them by force, bargain, or let them put this event on ice?

02. De Chima, Virginia, is a large city with a healthy economy, with large numbers of citizens waiting to be awed by your very presence. Look at you! Organic wonder! Those words have meaning here. Science and technology are the lifeblood of this city, so you're likely to come across a good many locals taking your picture with the newest of devices or recently published PLoS papers. The imPort craze remains high here, and you may find yourself cornered by overzealous imPort fans, media wannabes and opportunists alike, shoving cameras in your face. If you let yourself get cornered, beware! Anything from personal questions about romantic chances to bedroom habits to dietary queries might be come up!

As you wander, you may come across a few streets that have been closed down to show off the newest wares that America's vehicle industry has to offer. The streets are lined with new, shiny cars, alongside salesmen eager to show off exactly what they can do. Some of them are as dull as boasting excellent seat warmers, but the more avant garde among the displays look like something out of Wacky Races, decked out in incredibly bizarre designs and boasting not yet released features like the ability to turn into a boat, fifteen different horns ("a different sound for every occasion!"), bottom-heavy designs ("so your car won't flip over next time there's an imPort catastrophe!) and defense mechanisms ("it shoots out a sticky adhesive to halt any supervillains in their path!"). Many of these won't be released at all but, by gum, they're giving it their best shot.

You can simply wander around and enjoy the festivities and the bounty of food, including donut tires, candy traffic lights, truck-sized burgers, and more! It's certainly a nice place to have a quick break and some conversation.

Or you can get stuck in the cross-fire as the adhesive shooting vehicle malfunctions, spraying a sticky goo over everyone in the vicinity, just as little car-shaped bits of confetti begin to fall from the sky.


03. Maurtia Falls, Pennsylvania has carried a reputation for ups and downs ever since imPorts began reappearing again, just those few years prior. Several imPort heroes have put focused efforts into cleaning up the streets of this somewhat infamous city, while a handful of others had swooped in to help the criminal industry thrive. More so here than the streets of any other imPort city, the battle between good and evil looks more like a war of escalation than a heroic tale.

On this fine day, it appears that there's mischief afoot. One sordid citizen has gotten ahold of a prototype of a freeze gun and, wearing no better costume than a ski mask, has decided to hold up a bank. As he notices cop cars whizzing past, he panics, freezing a cop car in mid-chase, not quite gathering what a poor idea that is.

Everything seems to happen quickly as cars begin to plow into one another with a sound of screeching metal and an explosion of debris. What will you do about this, hero? Were you trying to cross the street and in need of a rescue? Will you go after the culprit? Will you try to save those who are trapped in the wreckage?

...Or will you try to make off with the criminal's money and keep it for yourself? That's always an option too.

04. Nonah, North Carolina, is the liveliest of all cities; loud, busy and there's always some kind of energy in the air that gets everyone buzzing with excitement.

This month there's the release of a hot new movie about imPorts themselves, though in order to evade copyright, it seems that the imPorts on screen are simply amalgamations of several different imPorts through the years instead of staying faithful to one true story. They've got everything! Action! Romance! Death! Desire. It's a whole load of hooey, in other words, but it's hooey with a big budget. What this means, however, is that even the newest imPorts are being roped into this red carpet affair. Even if they're simply passing by on the street, an eager reporter may well step up to you, saying, "Oh, are you an imPort? Please, you must come in! No, I insist!"

If you succumb to their pushy ways, you'll find yourself in a gala, likely unprepared and underdressed for the flash of the cameras and an endless torrent of questions about what you want to do here as an imPort, whether or not you feel you'll find love in this place, whether or not you fear an inevitable port-out (despite the fact that you may have just gotten here!) and will be plied with food and, if you're of age, with plenty of booze.

01: De Chima

Changing into the local clothing he'd been issued hadn't helped. Some of the civvies still recognized him, and now he felt as good as naked. He should have just kept the armor on, as much as the white plasteel stood out.

And now he's trapped waiting at a pedestrian crossing, trying to keep to his Yes Ma'ams and No Thank You Sirs, which is especially hard when every camera flash makes his heart thud nervously in his chest.

Sprinting through the traffic would be jaywalking, but they're only going fourty, fifty km/h at most? It wouldn't kill him. But standing orders were to follow local laws when they didn't conflict with rules of engagement.

So, he's stuck.

02: Nonah

He's only drunk alcohol once--by accident, he didn't know what it smelled like. He's not falling for that again. Food, though. He's being as polite as his entirely inadequate civilian interaction training can get, but still it feels like he's going through these tiny little portions faster than anyone else. He thought they were condensed rations with how small they were, but that got him laughed at when he commented on it.

03: More Nonah

Eventually he's going to end up in a far corner of the room, with a good angle on all the exits, hands clasped behind his back, trying to be invisible. It's reminding him of the couple of times Commander Akobi brought him on guard detail to an official function with planetary administration.

But Akobi isn't here, can't ever be. And there's no other guards posted, and the too-rich food has caught up with him and he feels a bit sick.

Does he have to stay for the entire gala?

04: Heropa

No cover beyond the kiosks, no backup, no helmet, no rifle. He has only one thermal det, and there were too many civilians around to use it. Thank the stars these criminals hadn't a damned clue what they were doing. They're spreading out and aren't covering each other well, and their aim was terrible so far. Still, they'd gotten some lucky shots in, and he didn't like the look of the results.

There's a lot of open ground between him and them, but if he didn't do something soon, they were going to start shooting again. This called for doing something incredibly stupid.

He grabs a scoop of the flavored ice in the kiosk, stands up, throws it straight into the eyes of the closest one. Then he breaks cover and charges.

05: Wildcard

Lando is used to the spotlight, and given that he's in the running for Nonah Ambassador, he's all about making an appearance. But even he grows tired of attention eventually, so he finds himself a quiet corner of the gala to take a breather and refresh before another round of shaking hands and smiling for the camera.

He finds himself standing near a gentleman who looks like he's about to bolt at the slightest opportunity. He offers a friendly smile.

"Haven't seen your face before. You must be new."

1 - Heropa - Freeze Criminal Scum!

Truth be told, Eikichi has no idea what the hell Cryptocurrency was, apart from sounding really fancy for some reason. But people interrupting a festival? Destroying winter wonderlands? Making children cry? Hell no.

"I don't care what the shit is you assholes you can't just--"

Hit on by the ray, Hade's resistance to ice leaves him with a feeling that he'd just stepped outside in winter, but not worst for wear.

"--Hey! You can't just interrupt me like that!"

He turned towards the nearest person next to him, grinning as he moved his guitar case in front of him, cracking his neck. The sound of something clicking inside and tiny engines heating up covered up the noise of the trio of foes telling him to give it up...he was having none of it.

"What do you say? Wanna teach 'em a lesson with me?"

2 - De Chima - It's-a-me, Michel

"That's right babes, I am organic!"

Someone please stop Eikichi from showing off at the nearby citizens. He was making a fool of himself. However, whenever someone tried to bring him food, he'd refuse it politely...in fact looked outright sick if a burger came a little too close to his vicinity...

3 - Maurtia Falls - Pileup on the Streets
Ice rays - why so many ice rays? Eikichi was already running towards the cars piling up of course. He could probably lift a few up, but if this continued it could be dangerous. He looked towards the nearest person and extended his hand.

"Hey! Help me with this one! The door's stuck!"

4 - Nonah - I'm an action Star
He loved this world. Eikichi's dreams had always been to make it big.

It did feel like he was cheating a bit, but opportunities were rare and he certainly wasn't going to just let it pass by him. His school outfit stood out against the dresses and tuxedos, but it was all he had on him - not knowing there was an opening.

But once inside, he was more than happy to talk, eagerly answering questions but pushing away both the food and the alcohol (they assumed he was much older, for some reason. Must be his height.)

However, even Eikichi could run out of steam. When he looks over, his eyes are pleading. Please. Please save him from all these questions, he doesn't want to answer stuff about his sex life!

[ Legion draws the collapsible sniper rifle from its back, pointing it at the teens (who almost immediately look to be regretting this situation, now that there's a full-sized sniper rifle two feet from them being held by a six-foot tall robot). The flashlight-head cocks towards Eikichi, almost inquisitively. ]

We cannot reach a consensus regarding the risk of this threat. Acquisition of a great amount of cryptocurrency is potentially very disruptive. Should non-lethal ordinance be prioritized?

[ Legion just happened to be in the area when the freeze gun incident began. The Geth made no attempt to stop the criminal, of course, just watching him go nuts with the thing-- It was a fascinating piece of technology. Cryonic weaponry was still uncommon in the galaxy, as far as the Geth were aware, and it was usually much more precise.

The spectacle became far less interesting, unfortunately, when it simply turned into a series of explosions. Geth are extremely used to explosions. They are less used, however, to the screaming of at least one living victim trapped beneath the rubble, and less interested--

But what would Shepard-Commander do?

It took less than a second for that thought to flash through all 1183 programs contained within Legion's platform and bring about consensus, the AI striding to start shoving rubble aside. One large hunk of what used to be a car makes Legion strain, though, and that flashlight-looking head is pointed at what it detects to be the nearest imPort, a robotic voice chiming out-- ]

This platform is not equipped with the hydraulic strength necessary to move this vehicle. Teamwork would be appropriate-- We request your assistance.

[It was polite in K-2SO's opinion. But, of course, being also a synthetic being, he might have a different perspective than most. After also first observing the scene, and estimating that this probably should be prioritized, he joins Legion in their attempt to lift the remains of the car. It should be enough for the human underneath the rubble to climb out, but given how quickly this escalated into chaos, he doesn't doubt there's others in similar situations. He does at least glance to Legion as they lift.]

A [ bev spends most of her time on the slip and slide, screaming with pure, unfiltered joy the whole way down. when she's not sliding, she's waiting in line for said slide. She might just strike up a conversation if you're next to her in line! ]

B [ from somewhere deep in the crowd that’s gathered to hear the teens’ demands, with deadly and kind of ridiculously good aim, bev hurls a fist-shaped rock that smashes one of the backpack-freeze generators. cold steam hisses out from the broken machine, spraying one of his cohorts and maybe opening them up to a takedown from an actual superhero?

if spotted, or questioned, bev will try and shrug off the act. ]

[ while she'd been innocently munching a donut tire mere seconds ago, bev was one of the unlucky victims who got sprayed by that new adhesive. the donut's trashed, and she's picking car confetti out of her hair when a reporter notices the imPort tattoo on her wrist.

for a kid whose life has been large stretches of neglect interspersed with violence, all the attention is a little much. ]

[ it's not polite, but the reporters are multiplying and she's covered in goop and she'd really like to be alone with a hot shower right about now. making up her mind to just leave, she nearly backhands an overzealous paparazzo who grabs her by the arm. ]

[ a bubbling pool of blood swells up at the offender's feet and starts to pull them in like quicksand. bev sucks in a breath and her legs collapse under her - not that this stops her from scooting away as fast as humanly possible. ]

Oh no - no no no nonono.

MAURTIA FALLS

[ bev's in the thick of things, pounding on car hoods and roofs for confirmation that the people inside are all right. once confirmed, she gestures wildly for someone with more strength than a thirteen-year-old girl to pull the wounded from the wreckage. ]

[ someone more familiar with magic and superpowers than bev herself might notice a series of warm, white and blue lights appearing around her, like an aura, or a faint crown of stars. she pulls a crying child out of their car-seat, too hopped up on fear and adrenaline to notice how the light around her seems to soothe her rescuee into a state of peacefulness.

in fact, most of the people bev's had contact with in the wreck seem strangely relaxed, as though they've been hit with a wave of calm. ]

In the hours after her arrival, Anderson can be found wandering the festival with a wondering, half-awed look on her face, completely at odds with the tip-to-toe relentless black leather and body armor she's rocking. She's heavily armored enough to look like displaced riot police or perhaps special forces, but she can still be found paying for a fluorescent, rainbow-streaked sno-cone with an expression of pure bemused curiosity, and perusing the other wares and activities with similar fascination.

Anderson, unsurprisingly, finds herself drawn to Maurtia Falls as the place most like home available to her. It's still extremely unlike Mega-City One, but the prevalence of crime is familiar, and gives her a direction. She's already familiarized herself assiduously with the legal code as pertaining to imPorts taking civil action, since she's aware by her own jurisdiction she'd consider that unlawful vigilantism. Apparently it's somewhat more forgiving around here.

She ends up giving a prospective criminal a sharp glance as she stands in line waiting for lunch, dressed casually in jeans and hoodie with her Lawgiver concealed under the fabric. It's a large enough gun that she'd had to get a large sweatshirt, too, and combined with her being a soft-faced young woman, it makes her extremely unthreatening. She hasn't quite gotten over the novelty of being treated like an ordinary citizen yet.

Anderson loses her appreciation for that novelty as she idly picks up on someone planning to hold up the cashier. She shoots them a glare. "If you try it, I'll execute a citizen's arrest and bring you in," she informs them, seemingly out of nowhere, in a flat, no-nonsense tone.

Everyone's accustomed to imPorts, and knows better than to take this as an idle threat. Anderson doesn't even need a verbal confirmation to feel him change his mind. Mildly: "That's what I thought."

Satisfied, she goes back to passively waiting in line, perhaps poking at her phone while she stands there.

o1. Heropa [at night]
The world here...really hates the dark, doesn't it. It should -- the dark is filled with terrible, awful things. It's humanity's enemy, keeps them locked up in fear, staggers their growth. But where the world Martin knows still cowers in the moonless night, this place...the lights here, these...impossible lights that don't so much as flicker... Is there no fear here?

It must just be him. He's terrified. There's nothing, no foothold, no familiarity...even the sky looks wrong, and worse still when the occasional airplane rumbles distantly overhead. A world where mankind has no fear is a world Darkovs strive for...but have no business being a part of.

He shudders, not of cold, but out of unease. As he walks, he hears the loud tamping of his own shoes on the street, and he feels his anxiety rise. It plays tricks with him, making him soon thing himself pursued, though he sees nothing in this fake-dark. The street lights play with his nightvision and make the unnatural shapes and shadows of the world around him into foreign monsters, and soon his staggered walk becomes a run. A run with no clear direction, save to simply get away. A run that, ultimately, sends him into the middle of a naked intersection just as lonely traffic is speeding toward it. And, as a deer in headlights, there stands Martin.


o2. De Chima [in the early, early morning]
He's stuck.

Having failed to find a place to hide before the city's earlier risers set to work, Martin finds himself having to choose between hiding in this dingy alleyway or daring to traverse into a populated street. Honestly, four in the morning isn't terribly busy, but even seeing three people is three too many for him. He's almost ready to give in, huddle up, and hope hiding in the rubbish will sustain him for the daytime, but...

But he can hear his cousin, Danielle, berating him. You can't do much unless you start moving! she'd say, all before marching ahead.

Gulping, he tries to take the words to heart and brave the sidewalk, freezing up at every passing vehicle. They're...terrible, awful, and no one around him seems to even bat an eyelash.

It takes virtually no time at all for him to be trapped in a one-sided interrogation with an interested, undoubtedly well-meaning deli manager who, despite meaning well, cannot read the look of plain, pure discomfort on Martin's face. It's pretty easy to read.

I don't like this. Help.


o3. Maurtia Falls [daytime]
Help with the explosion fallout? Not hardly. Martin's frozen in abject horror, having been just a breath away from being sandwiched in the collision in his mad dash across the street. All thoughts of where and why he was going are gone as he tries to process what's in front of him. It's--it's really hard. There's truly nothing like this to compare, and...

And he hears similar screeching coming his way, mixed with assorted shrieks from nearby. Turning his head, he sees the truck trying to find means to careen out of the way instead of hitting him, but...

Martin raises his arm, elbow locking stiffly into place as bone protrudes out of his wrist and suddenly bulges, launching a lance twice his height at such a rate as to knock him off his feet while it in turn impales the truck to a nauseating, metal-crunching half.

He is knocked off his feet and sent rolling away, left to slowly sit up and gape at his handiwork. Evidence of the weapon is already disintegrating, leaving a dreadful feeling in his gut.

He can see a person in there...

[ Ever since Doc was ported out, Iris finds herself taking on more and more responsibilities at the O'Malley Clinic. Some which are good, and some which are... more stressful than anything. So before she heads into work, she's taken to visiting a deli and buying a dozen bagels for her and the unlucky souls who may get stuck with her (and her grumpy moods).

Right as she's passing the deli though, she spies the manager - someone she recognizes - talking to some kid who clearly doesn't want to be here.

So, her protective instincts kick into gear and she waves them over, ]

Hey, Ms. Alesci. [ Iris beams, ] I'll take it from here. Grab us a couple of bagels - with extra schmears?

[ The deli manager leaves them, allowing Iris to take a better look (and whiff - whew) of this child. Softly: ] You holding up okay?

Yato's never actually been to America, but he's pretty sure if these types of vehicles had been in the version back home, things would be either a lot more fun or a lot more chaotic - or both. So he's wandering around the display area with a donut tire in one hand and a candy stick in his mouth, peering at the cars and snapping a few pictures on his cell phone of the more ludicrous ones. "The one that turns into a boat, I could see that one being popular back home..."

Any kind of festival where Yato gets free food and drinks is one he's in favour of, and honestly the fawning attention has him riding on cloud nine at the moment - it feels a little like one of his daydreams come true. He may not have much clue as to why they're so eager to meet him, but he's happily posing for selfies with fans, and answering questions with surprising candidness about who he is (how else is he supposed to gain new followers, after all?) and just generally soaking up the attention like a sponge.

"Hey," he grins when he finds a free moment between waves of fans, slinging a causal arm over the nearest fellow imPort. "Isn't this amazing? What have they been asking you about?"

Once the happy hubbub of the cities dies down however, Yato finds he misses the familiar presences of his friends that he's come to associate with feeling content. While he hasn't had any run-ins with akayashi here yet, finding a shrine to spend the night at is a long-ingrained habit, and so he can be found just walking aimlessly down the streets in the small hours of the morning, kicking a soda can along ahead of him and muttering to himself.

"What kind of country doesn't have any god shrines... if I was looking for a church then I'd have asked about a church..."

[ Going to other worlds was nothing new, but this? Was more than she could take in. Walking down the street, she realized quite quickly that she looked out of place in her long dress. After some... skillful haggling (or well an imPort obsessed shop keep) she was grateful for a pair of trousers.

The car show has caught her attention -- the wonder of modern technology they said. It was surreal to see such vehicles with such archaic fuel. It did not take her uncle long to realize that fossil fuel was not the most productive.

Still, she can't help but marvel at the wheels. ]

[ boy, that sure is a glowing, multi-color glitter-girl wandering around the car-fair. karolina has a stop-sign lollipop that she's sucking absently on as she strolls down the sidewalks, taking in the various vehicles and also testing the reactions of the locals. it's sort of weird, but people are excited about her abilities, not freaking out. but then, in a place like this where she's definitely not the weirdest thing to arrive through the porters, she supposes she's just another novelty.

still, the thing that makes her kind of inhuman is also quite pretty, so it's not long before she's stopped by one of the presenters. the next thing she knows, she's being hustled into handing out flyers for them, perched on the hood of the car like some kind of calendar model. ]

Hi! [ she waves a small stack, smiling charmingly. ] I.. really don't know much about this car or the creators, but would you like a pamphlet?

[ karolina is fresh out of the shower as she appears in the video feed, wrapped in a robe and with a towel between her hands as she works the water out of her hair. ]

God, it's amazing what you take for granted once it's gone. Regular access to hot showers, for one thing. The luxury to take a bath if I want to. .. Conditioner. [ she grins fleetingly, and just like that, she's glowing like a galaxy contained in human form. she lowers the towel, pushing her hair back, and leans in a little. ]

Anyway, my real reason for this is that I'm looking for some people. If you're here, well.. you know who you are. [ she hesitates, looking a little troubled. ] .. Um, Nico especially.. if you're here, please get in contact with me, okay?

[Nico responds maybe within ten minutes of this going up are you fucking kidding. Something like relief washes over her face for a second, and she can't stifle a smile at first, even if she tries to keep her tone light, like she doesn't even know who this is and she's just playing the cool, disaffected, vaguely helpful stranger.]

[ He's not usually very loud, but he steps in front of the teens to grab their attention. ]

[ At his cry, he glows blue momentarily before a giant humanoid monster wearing red and white appears. ]

[ Okay, it's true— The cars here are a technological wonder, especially when you're using 1999 standards. Tatsuya can't help but be impressed at everything he sees. There's a shining red one that he's eyeing in particular, listening to the salesman rattle off it's many features in excitement. ]

[Some days, Akira uses his heat aura to set demons on fire. Other days, he's carefully defrosting the victims of the latest Ice-themed Incident the local park, hands enveloped in a shimmering blue glow. Perhaps the ruckus was ended as a team effort, or he is late to the party. Either way, he is sticking around to clean up the mess. Someone has to make sure Sally and Grandpa aren't stuck as ice statues until the sun melts them free.]

[So the future is pretty awesome. As goofy looking as some of these cars are, the hover technology was sweet, as were all the weird gimmicks. There was even a motorcycle that caught his eye - though he had nowhere near the funds to purchase it yet.]

[He did have enough funds for the food that was up on display, though (because it was free). And they were all themed for the event. Amazing.]

[Akira's going to find a table with a disgusting amount of automobile-themed food items to begin to eat. A sample from every table, no matter unhealthy it looked. It was his first trip to America, okay? A Devilman needs to live.]

C. Maurtia Falls

[Two words describe the look on Akira's face at seeing eleven cop cars pile-up on each other: Oh, fuck.]

[Yeah. He's making a running beeline for that pile of debris, because that's a lot of trapped and hurt people, and he's not going to chase down one guy with some money when there's a big, gnarled mess of cars on the street. Luckily, he has the strength to move the cars and debris where needed, but once he starts uncovering people, he freezes.]

[That is.. a worrying amount of blood in one of those cars, and the person it was spilling from. Well, shit.]

Try to stay calm. Don't move.

[The car door is snapped off its hinges, but he hesitates to try and move the passenger inside. Akira is way out of his element here. He can only hope someone with more medical know-how arrives to take care of this.]

One marvels at the sight of the technology< /em>, particularly the cars, (Urðr), the next marvels at the sponsor names, and he found a technology magazine to start diving in deep (Skuld) -- and the last, taller, his hair wilder, he looks up at the cameras, a look of supreme disgust on his face (Veranði). Behind them is a snake like, dragon like machine, a large lit camera for an eye, and it twitched and turned with its masters, subject to their whims. ]

What sort of world is this, that puts so much of the future into entertainment?

[ All three mouths open, wide, pale eyes framed by cracks and dark crags all look between each other, and then out to the rest of the crowd. Their voice sounds like... the future, and yet not. The aged, decadent vision of what the future will be, perhaps.

They keep roaming, questioning every little thing, questioning, talking amongst themselves, feel free to interrupt this weird triangle. ]

"Sooner the better!" wanting to duck what looked like more questions.

One perk of being a Queen is being able to turn up the charm when it counts. So Thea's charming the pants off anyone who even tries coming her way, plus let's be honest, she figured if she plays along she can escape to her hotel room that much faster. But as she plans her escape from the gala she's spotted, but by whom? Plus given her past she's having to deal with lots of pushy questions about her party girl/rage at the world days. She hates it, she's not that girl anymore for one thing.

"To the ladies room!" she muttered under her breath, she wants out and fast. Besides in jeans she's not dressed for this.

Especially since someone further down the queue was attracting them instead. He'd just gotten up to the counter and finally come to the horrible realization: They wanted him to choose what he was going to eat. He had no idea what any of this stuff was. "Uh."

No, he wasn't going to be able to figure this out. "You can take my place if you want, ma'am," he called back down the line to the young woman. She looked like she needed to get out of here more than he did.

[Well, this is slightly less disastrous. There's still a lot of excited imPort fans around here, but at least he can walk around without drawing too much attention, especially when others have more noticeable Quirks to ooh and ahh over.

He's actually kind of interested in some of the displays in the streets, honestly, and he inspects a couple of them, asking a few polite questions here and there. Hatsume-san would love this, he thinks to himself, fondly.

Of course, Izuku has a bit of a habit of getting wrapped up in his own head, so he doesn't quite notice when the adhesive shooting vehicle starts spraying everywhere, whiiiiich means you are about to get a lot better acquainted with him.]

[It's the same as it always is, with Izuku, when times of true crisis emerge. My body moved before I could think. It doesn't matter that he's not in Japan anymore, or that he's still a first year, or that he's only just gotten his provisional Hero license back home -- when the crash happens, he reacts.

One For All cloaks his body and he takes off, pushing through the wreckage to look for the wounded. He calls out into the crowd, for anyone who might be listening--]

One of the vehicles had apparently malfunctioned- and this sticky adhesive starts shooting everywhere. Even with the super-strength granted to her by this world, she can't even move her legs- and her lekku being stuck together? Less than comfortable.

There's a teenage boy with a shock of dark green hair next to her- unfortunately close enough that their arms are stuck together until the manufacturer manages to find the right solvent agent that will undo what's been done.]

Not your fault that whoever designed this thought it would be a great idea not to test the mechanism first.

[ She gives a gentle smile to the boy as best she can. Don't worry, kid, she doesn't blame you for this mess. ]

After frowning to himself, Quatre turns and smiles at anyone who looks remotely old enough to pass as a licensed driver.]

Retreating to the edges of the room with an overflowing plate of food that he's not particularly interested in eating, he naturally gravitates towards the few people scattered around who look more used to this than he does.]

Is it always like this? [he asks, because obviously when people look to avoid the crowds at these events they want to get cornered into more smalltalk.]

[ everything considered, diana of themyscira has handled her arrival well. even in this strange realm that is vastly different from her own world, where her search for ares must abruptly halt, there is slight solace in the promise of a new adventure.

she's explored quite a bit, and while some of her questions have been answered, many more have taken their place. in particular, this peculiar festival catches her attention, and her curiosity is piqued by each new sight. diana visits one of the stands, her eyes brightening at the vast selection of food.

with an intrigued smile, she tears off a piece of the donut tire and brings it to her lips. chewing thoughtfully, she widens her gaze as the treat dissolves in her mouth. ]

Amazing. [ not quite like ice cream, but sweet and delicious in its own way. she glances at the vendor, her grin growing. ] You're very talented.

[ diana of themyscira never surrenders a fight, nor will she abandon others in their time of need. an immense explosion erupts in the air, and her brow furrows in alarm. there's not a second to waste.

stepping forward, she dashes in the direction of the wreckage, swiftly pulling out one civilian after another. once she rescues them, diana charges after the panicked culprit, retrieving the golden lasso that rests on her hip. while she is also armed with the eminent god killer, that weapon won't be necessary.

the lasso of truth encircles the criminal's shoulders, and with a gruff groan, he's sharply tugged back before his body collapses to the ground. ]

01: Heropa

At first, Rick just walked around, trying to figure out what was going on and just what he'd gotten himself into. It seemed innocuous enough, like some big party where just about anyone and everyone was invited. But that was before Rick spotted something that didn't look like the typical antics of partygoers. He'd been a sheriff once, before the world went to hell, and sometimes those instincts rose up without him immediately realizing it.

"Hey, what're you up to?" He saw some kids (well, not real kids, but younger than him, so they fell into the "kids" camp) with something that looked suspiciously like ice machines, and while his experience with such things was limited at best, he thought it looked too dangerous to let it go on.

Of course, without a gun or machete or anything, his threats weren't going to have any weight behind them. What could he do? He looked around trying to find something he could use as a projectile. If it came down to close combat, he could probably overpower them, but he didn't want to go that route just yet.

...That pile of rocks just a few feet away looked promising, especially since there was nothing else available. And before Rick knew it, he had one of the rocks in his hand, and he was poised to throw.

02: De Chima

Here, Rick can be found just wandering around, trying to once again figure out what to do, how to fit in, and how to gain his footing. As he made his way along, he thought he couldn't shake the feeling that he stuck out like an overly large sore thumb.

This place was too nice, and he couldn't shake the feeling that a world without a walker lurking behind every door, around every corner, was weird, strange, and definitely unfamiliar.

It was almost as though he'd forgotten how to relax years ago, and even in a place that seemed mostly safe, he couldn't quite manage to let his guard down. It didn't seem like the thing to do anyway, given what little he'd learned about this place. Tensions were high, apparently, and he'd been brought here to help address some kind of threat. Well, he and everyone else who was here, if his understanding of things was correct.

So, the threat might not be from walkers, but there still was a threat, and his preliminary goal was to see how he could help. For now, though, he was going to wander around this gathering. At least, that was his plan before he found himself in the crosshairs of a backfiring car, and the next thing he knew, he was covered with a sticky substance and shiny bits of car-shaped confetti.

...What in the world had he gotten himself into?

03: Network

If ever Makoto had shared the wish that the Phantom Thieves' media popularity had been directed at the thieves themselves, she would have taken it back in a heartbeat after today.

It had started innocently enough. A couple of imPort enthusiasts wanting to know what a hero ate, and with her enthusiasm for good diet and looking after herself, how could she have turned down such an eager request? Wasn't that what being a hero was, after all? Being a good influence, setting a good example, surely it was all just part of the job.

But then other people noticed she'd stopped. The media noticed she'd stopped. And now she finds herself surrounded, bombarded with questions that, to her mind, have nothing to do with the job she'd signed up for. And no amount of firmly-delivered "I don't see how that's relevant" from her seems to be helping.

She'd never admit it out loud but she could definitely use someone stepping in right about now.

2. Maurtia Falls

The first Makoto learns of the robbery is the sound of screeching brakes and blaring horns as drivers find themselves with too little time to avoid the frozen cop car and then, inevitably, each other. Even before she has time to process the thought, she's on her way to the scene and it isn't long before she's there to see the full horror for herself.

It's hard to know where to start, truthfully. The future cop in her wants to go after the escaping robber but there are people hurt right here and beyond that, she can easily see how the combination of his freezing powers and her nuclear attacks could lead to some pretty awful collateral damage.

And so she stays, trying to pinpoint the injured who aren't being attended to already and throwing out multi-target healing spells to keep them stable until better help can arrive. Of course, to the uninitiated what it actually looks like she's doing is just riding around the injured on a motorcycle that comes from apparently nowhere which may raise more questions than anything else...

Eikichi could sense a persona user nearby. He'd arrived long after the thieves had been gone, hoping to help with the damage. Sometimes he wished his own Persona came with healing spells and a brief look of envy passed his face as he saw Makoto's Persona. At least what he assumed to be her Persona, if the healing spells that were aiding people were an indication.

Feeling a little guilty of stalling, Eikichi starts to look into the cars to make sure no one is still inside when he finally spots someone.

"Hey! I've got someone with a broken hand here..." there is a lot of blood. He doesn't like that. Looking over to Makoto he screams to get her attention. "CAN YOU COME OVER?!"

Ichiko Ohya | Persona 5

She has to admit, it's a better welcome than she's received in some places. Free drinks aren't ever anything for Ohya to turn down for as long as they keep flowing, and the festivities are distracting enough for her to not fully appreciate yet what one of her new powers really means for her.

Hard to spot the lack of a booze-fuelled buzz when there's a festival-induced buzz to mask it right now, and it's not like she was a lightweight to begin with.

She can be found all over the place at the event, taking photographs, enjoying the food and drink and maybe also with an ear open for anything interesting going down - she can't just switch off being a journalist, after all.

And it's not like the budding supervillains are particularly subtle; even before they announce themselves Ohya's keeping a close eye on them. And...well, bless them for trying but even knowing where she is now, it's hard for her to take their cobbled-together ice machines seriously.

"Man, this is the saddest cry for attention I've seen in a long while."

It's not clear if it's directed at the intruders or whoever happens to be next to her. It is clear that the villains have heard her and have got her in their sights as a demonstration target for their new toys.

2. Nonah

Even as she knows the movie industry isn't the best place to look for truth, Ohya can't deny she's intrigued by what superhero movies look like in a world where superheroes are a commonplace thing.

At least, that was the intention. Instead, she finds herself dragged into the gala and on the other end of the intense questioning than she's used to. Which isn't to say she's having too hard a time of things - being in the media herself, she knows all about giving answers that sound good without actually giving anything away.

And with so much free booze being handed her way, why would she even think to be upset? Especially now she understands that she doesn't need to worry about whether she goes "too far" - and while she thinks at some point she'll miss being able to get too wasted to care, for now the novelty is enough to keep her entertained.

Which is how she finds herself with a tray of drinks, and a second of empty glasses at a convenient nearby table. And it grants her the perfect way to rescue others who are less comfortable under scrutiny, as she walks over with the tray and puts herself between the interviewee - provided they look at least late teens - and the cameras.

"Drink? You look like you need one."

He's well past deer-in-headlights status even before people start paying very intense attention to him.

He manages to stammer out a few startled responses as he dodges one person after another: "Uh, sorry, I have to go... a place-"; "Well, actually, I'm married, so..." ; "My preferred what?" ; "Um. Little weird, man."

Truthfully, these powers he's found himself with could help with this, but he's not comfortable just tossing them around just yet. So, ducking and dodging, he eventually stumbles right into a... car show? He wanders among them for a while, staring in stunned silence. Aside from all the surreality of some of the features, any shiny new cars are a jarring enough sight.

At least nobody's asking him about his underwear here.

Wanda is one of those people who is in the wrong place at the wrong time when the adhesive shooting cars decides to flip out and spray her with some weird glue stuff -- and when the confetti starts to fall, she lets out the loudest, most resigned sigh ever. [ when you’ve been on the carousel of fate as many times as percy has, you really stop losing your mind over suddenly being hundreds of miles from home. the ooh and the ahh and the why meeee? basically always boils down to one thing: the gods. he could wallow. he could fall to his knees and scream at the sky. try to convey that he has to study and how extra dead he’s going to be ( how extra dead everyone will be ) if his girlfriend finds out he’s missing, but…

he grabs a “slice” of pizza instead. he’s not complaining that the alleged slice is the size of his head. listen, he has this. he’s a professional. nobody has to deal with the pizza to mouth size ratio once it’s folded like a taco and none of the toppings are going to fall off this way.

percy jackson’s about to take a bite out of what’s possibly the cheesiest, greasiest pizza of his life and that’s when some moron blasts a cop car with a freeze gun and he slows down like he’s the one turning to ice. he lowers his pizza, obviously torn, while he glances between the soon-to-be wreckage and the ( currently ) most beautiful piece of food ever. actually, he does this three times. three separate glances. somewhere between longing and frustration. it’s honestly not even horror on his face at this point in his life.

to say the look he sends skyward is sour is an understatement. ]

Oh, you owe me. Seriously. Say it with me: double pepperoni, double sausage, extra bacon.

[ he sighs, long and tired, already reaching for the pen in his pocket to uncap it ( to allow it to transform into a celestial bronze greek sword ) and running towards the mayhem. his beloved pizza sinks into a trash can on the jog over. the sword's more for cutting off seat belts, or using the hilt to shatter a window if he has to. traffic coming at him fast doesn't scare him ( he's from new york ), if anything, he just looks experienced sliding over the hood of a braking car to get to a wrecked one. he taps on the top of the car to get the attention of the driver. ]

Hold on! I'm going to get you out. [ the door won't budge. he's trying to figure out if busting the glass is his best option here. he doesn't get far. is that.. smoke?? ] Uh, right after I deal with that.

[ he's #blessed with water powers, but, you know. help a bro out?? just kinda gonna shout at any passerby he spots because that's how he rolls. ] A little help here??

02. De Chima

[ While you're walking among the cars, you may look up and see a rainbow. A strangely solid-looking, low-flying rainbow. And on that rainbow is a man with a strange costume, arms folded as he looks down at the cars.

After he's drawn a bit of attention, he speaks loudly (and dramatically) for the crowd. ]

These colourful cars may have caught your eye, but their awesome aesthetic is no match for my chromatic cacophany!

[ He presses a finger to the side of his goggles and a bright orange beam of light hits all the people in attendance. Suddenly, it's like a rockstar had turned up, everyone is elated and happy to see him.

03. Maurtia Falls

[ As the cars pile up, a solid light rainbow streaks from the roofs above, being ridden by none other than the Rainbow Raider, who, with his goggles, creates a solid light wall that blocks him from being hit by the cold gun. ]

Your wanna-be Leonard Snart act is leaving me... cold.

[ He lowers the shield and hits the guy in the face with a beam of blue. Suddenly the dude starts crying. Right then and there. Roy stalks up to him and takes both the cold gun and the bag of money. ]

Thanks for the cash, now I'll motor on out of here.

[ Yeah he's just gonna steal this money. Maybe. Stop him? ]

04. Nonah

[ Roy G. Bivolo is a decent looking guy - tall, nice face, adorable curly jet black hair - but good lord what the heck is he wearing? He's somehow simultaneously overdressed and underdressed for this gala in an eye-popping paisley bright orange and pink shirt tucked into his magenta pants with a bright yellow belt, and a purple and teal 80s jacket. It's certainly... eye catching, to say the least.

He's being questioned about his love life. ]

Honestly, I haven't had much time to think about love back home either! You could say my one true love has always been art.
