Gina thinks Lester is a bit of a dweeb, but one with good taste (he complimented her after all) and enthusiasm she doesn't often see in "teens." He's also the only one who has seen her not be perfect at her music powers. This makes him a perfect balance of someone she would hang out with willingly, as Gina is effortlessly synced with the mindset of teenage drama, and maybe bother to practice with because he isn't completely writing her off. When he's being a little full of himself, Gina just sees that as natural confidence, possible even humble compared to her mindset. But haikus man... 😑

So she likes him enough to practice with him, start a gossip war on his behalf, and possible hair ruffles.

So Gina first responded to the ad as a trollzy lark but once they started talking and she did some research that this guy is a person who really exists and isn't just some tinder phisher who wants to send dick picks (sorry, Bar, but when your sign in is "Flash" you're going to get some side-eye), she was intrigued. She likes having friendly do-gooder types to bully and/or assist in odd moments. All you need is an overattached zeal for binders to complete the target on your back.

But as their thread went on she gave him some credit. He at least has the taste to know that Beyonce is a make of break kind of question, and even if his Step Up viewpoints are skewed he knows they exist and what they are, the answer being: amazing. So in spite of her initial "oh this is someone who has had actual superhero fights, for real?" she feels like taking this somewhat seriously as a frienemy and would like to hang out with him, especially if he brings food. Who knows? If things work out she could even offer him one of her dozen spare lycra suits in case his ever gets damaged by a real fight, she's a pal like that. And the best part is you can eat whatever you want and it will stretch with you!

P.S. Yes they should definitely do a dance number sometime. Bring out the Super Best Frienemy musical number.
