but he totally does. He's still a little cautious and worried Yuuri might bolt on them, but that has improved a lot. Most of his concerns now are just some lingering worry about how Yuuri will react to finding out he's on a vigilante squad, or having some late reaction to finding out about all the shit he and Viktor have been through.

He obviously doesn't want Yuuri to leave at all. He's gotten comfortable with the stability of what, to him, feels like a complete family now. He might not feel like he can rely on Yuuri or Viktor for physical protection, but that doesn't mean he doesn't feel safer just having them around. He knows he can trust Yuuri to listen to him and to offer advice if he really needs help, and he feels comfortable enough to actually go to him for that if a situation arises that he feels out of his depth with. He would like for Yuuri to get to know him better since he already has a whole year of time built up with Yuuri himself, but he doesn't really know how to ask for that.
