And remember there's only one rule in Test Drive Meme Club: HAVE FUN ON THE TEST DRIVE MEME!01.The city of Heropa is what one might expect from a small, bright and cheery place, where locals are friendly enough and local shop owners might offer a free drink to welcome you to their fair city.
Everyone’s in preparation for the arrival of Autumn! A small street fair has dedicated itself to welcoming Fall with open arms. Harvest foods have practically taken over— hot pumpkin-themed drinks, warm apple pies, and butternut squash soups are everywhere. One stall in particular has a scarecrow-building class, providing with plenty of patched up clothes and straw.
If you stay late enough at the fair to see the moon rise, you’ll notice it takes on a deep orange glow— pretty normal for a harvest moon. But it’s strange… a few scarecrows also seem to share the same color glow from their eyes. Maybe it’s just a reflection…?
02. De Chima, Virginia, is a large city with a healthy economy, with large numbers of citizens waiting to be awed by your very presence. Look at you! Organic wonder! Synthetic wonder! Whatever you might be, those words have meaning here. Science and technology are the lifeblood of this city, so you're likely to come across a good many locals taking your picture with the newest of devices or recently published PLoS papers. The imPort craze remains high here, and you may find yourself cornered by overzealous imPort fans, media wannabes and opportunists alike, shoving cameras in your face.
If you let yourself get cornered, beware! Anything from personal questions about romantic chances to bedroom habits to dietary queries might be come up!
Although what really seems to be the question of the month for those hardhitting journalists is a little less of the mundane;
"So what do you think about the recent Import mission to Mars? How much did that cost the government, and what will the repercussions be?"
Maybe they're hoping for a psychic Import on these matters...
03. Maurtia Falls, Pennsylvania has carried a reputation for ups and downs ever since imPorts began reappearing again, just those few years prior. Several imPort heroes have put focused efforts into cleaning up the streets of this somewhat infamous city, while a handful of others had swooped in to help the criminal industry thrive. More so here than the streets of any other imPort city, the battle between good and evil looks more like a war of escalation than a heroic tale. Everything from the classic bank heist to brutal bloodbaths can happen around the corner. You have to keep your eyes open and your mind sharp when you live in Maurtia Falls, and hostility against imPorts can spike. The emergence of locals with superpowers is hardly helping... #THANKS TONY STARK, #ya muffin.
Up ahead, it seems like there’s a traffic jam- or rather, a complete deadlock. But strangely, no one’s honking their honks or trying to zoom around other cars. Upon closer inspection, it seems like everyone is stock-still, with blank expressions upon their faces. The only figure moving in the crowd is a woman with a rather strange black and white outfit…
It seems like yet another local with superpowers has emerged from the woodwork- perhaps literally, in this case, given that she’s dressed up like a mushroom.
It seems that Feelia Fungus has taken to telepathically freezing the entire intersection with her mind control “spores” while she helps herself to robbing civilians of their belongings. It’s up to you to stop her!
Remember: September is known for being mushroom hunting season!
04. Nonah, North Carolina, is the liveliest of all cities; loud, busy and there's always some kind of energy in the air that gets everyone buzzing with excitement.
One might think that being such an industrial-based city, Nonah might might leave behind old cultural traditions. But with their motto of “Work Hard, Play Hard,” they certainly wouldn’t forget about a holiday they hold dear: Oktoberfest.
The germanic celebration is in full force this week, complete with stalls giving away beer, and various snacks like brazen and würstl, along with various cakes. Anyone underage will be given a nice warm cider instead, and some natives may even try to convince you into wearing some classic dress- a dirndl.
For those with a more competitive streak, there’s a crossbow contest for most bull’s eyes hit!

No dude, I think it's awesome that you're a plant! Like, one of my best friends back home is a strawberry. It's just kind of a relief to see other people that stand out from-- [ She gestures to the dispersing crowd of festival-goers, who are now more interested in their plastic cups of beer than her disruptive display. ] --these bozos.
Speaking of which, what brings ya to this normie convention? I just wanted to see drunk people do stupid stuff, but there hasn't been a lot of that and I got bored.

["Sorta" as in "I have memories of knowing their princess but have not actually met her as myself," but maybe that's not something to get into right now? It's weird being around people who don't look at him and just see some weirdo Finn imposter and want an explanation. It's kind of nice not having that baggage hanging over his every interaction, but now he's not sure when's a good time to explain certain things about himself.]
I dunno. Guess I was bored and curious? This place is really whack compared to Ooo. Also, some of the words people have been throwing around seemed familiar but I wasn't really sure what the deal was there.
["Princess Bubblegum speaks German" is a different concept for someone who lives in a world where Germany hasn't existed for over a thousand years and most people probably wouldn't even recognize the name if they heard it. He didn't even know it was called German. It was just a Princess Bubblegum Quirk.]

[ A not so small part of her wants to ask if he's slain any dragons or done cool fantasy stuff like that, but she'll table that for now. Maybe Fern hasn't done any cool hero stuff and would feel bad if she asked about it. He seems like a pretty sensitive dude, anyway... But interesting enough to try and befriend. Plus, talking to a plant reminds her of home! ]

[Not that it's concept that wasn't around in Ooo, or one Finn (and therefor Fern, even if his memories still aren't perfect) of all people doesn't have experience with, but alternate universes are always going to be weird. Unless maybe you stay long enough to get used to them.

Well, it's not really drinking, but I pretend it is. I still need water.
[You have to water plants and that includes him! So when he "waters" himself he likes to get a glass or something and try to pretend he's doing a normal human thing instead of a plant thing. Maybe someone who isn't paying much attention could even be fooled.
Maybe that's a little sad but he doesn't care.]

So, what kinda stuff did you do back in fairytale world? Were you a hero there too? You look like you coulda been around level 2. [ She really has not adjusted to hero levels not being a thing here. ] Not dissin' ya or anything. I'm level 4, so not super high up there.

Level 2? Like a video game? [Surprise! "Fairytale world" had video games! In fact he was friends with a console.] I'm pretty good at video games.
I'm...supposed to be a hero, though. I want to be one...but I'm not sure if I can anymore. I really donked things up back in Ooo.
[He's certainly not planning to run off and go all evil again but it feels like a screw-up he can't come back from, even if the people around him are willing to let it go. He definitely can't claim to be "100% hero" anymore. But he'd like to start trying to act heroic again. It feels like it's someone he can't be anymore and yet it feels like it's still who he's supposed to be. Sorting through his feelings is hard and confusing.]

[ She's speaking from experience, of course. This isn't the first time she's gotten to soft reset the game of life. For once she feels like she has actual relevant life advice to give to someone, and it kind of makes her feel cool and important again. ]

He sounds a little apprehensive when he speaks again, which is a little silly because this has no bearing on his actual life but just how it is sometimes.] What happens when you do bad things? Like...really bad things?
[And the thing is, he'd love to think of this place as a fresh start. There was even a part of him that was tempted to introduce himself to people as Finn because no one here would know the difference, as much as the "kill and replace your other self" urge left him with the grass demon...he could just be his old self to everyone with no problems here. Because no one knew who Finn was, no one knew he was the wrong Finn. The one who had betrayed everyone and done terrible things. He could trick everyone into thinking he was the person he used to be so easily, except for the fact that he hadn't retained his ability to mimic Finn's appearance (not that anyone here knew what he looked like, but that meant to everyone he'd still be grass) and his personality wasn't all...right, not anymore.
But none of that felt right, as nice as it sounded. He'd still know who he really was and what had happened. It wouldn't even feel all that good in the long run, probably. If he was going to live again, he had to live as himself, and figure out what to even do with himself after all of that. As much as people had tried to encourage him to do so, he'd never even found himself in the first place. And now, it was even more confusing with the grass demon gone--as much as he was glad to be rid of it--who was he without it? How much of himself was actually him, and how much had been that thing? There's so much to sort through to even begin to have a solid opinion of himself and how bad or good he can be.]
I...would really like it to be that simple, but I don't know if I can look at it that way.
