TEST DRIVE MEME

01. Your memory is hazy and you might feel increasingly frustrated or anxious, or maybe you're excited as soldiers march past, barely glimpsing you. One second you're somewhere underground, the next you're enveloped in blue light, and suddenly you find yourself directly under Flordia sun's bright and burning glare. A female soldier steps toward you with a wide smile on her face and directs you to a car, ready to debrief you. You realize you are not the only one, surrounded by equally confused or eager faces... and you're all sporting a digital tattoo on your wrist.

02. Welcome to Cape Canaveral, where the smell of the ocean is in the air and locals are more than pleased to see new imPorts roaming their streets. They wave, they cheer, they ask for pictures as politely as they can. The more inhuman you look, or if you're wearing a costume, the more likely locals are to approach. Hey, enjoy the moment! The popular malt shop is offering you a free drink if you need it.

03. The technology in this world is certainly something. The cars are clearly modeled after popular 50s cars, but they hover several feet above the ground as they drive down the street. There are digital jukeboxes in restaurants, motorcycles also hover through traffic, advertisements can be seen on a digital projector on the taller buildings. Even kids on skateboards appear to drift a safe ten feet off the ground while playing!

04. Wherever you are, you can hear the loud revving of an engine, distance at first before you finally see it: a hovercar bursting around the corner, going beyond the maximum speed limit and just barely making its sharp turn. It doesn't appear to be slowing down any time soon, not with two police cars trailing it... and uh oh. Those skateboarding kids don't have much time to get out of the way as the car comes speeding down the road. You've been brought here for a reason Hero — so you better act fast.

[Oh, geeze, a teenage masher? Where's her wrench, to thump him with? Drat, not here with her.]

I don't know, what kind of date are we talking about?

[Humor him for a minute or two.]

I was thinking a concert or maybe the arcade.

( he could be flirty all he wants but the romantic dates are for his girlfriend and also he isn't that much of a sleazy guy. it's the 80s baby. )

Really? A concert?

[Winry has never been to one, and imagines something with strings and horns.

And Ferris, she has a few decades on you, since she's from 1910.]

( he released himself from her before he basically moon-walked in front of her and held out his hand. )

The name's Bueller, Ferris Bueller. What's your name lovely lady?

[Wide eyes. What was that he just did? Some sort of fighting move?]

I'm Winry Rockbell.

[She takes his hand and shakes it. Hers grip is strong and her hand is callused.]

( it could be if he wasn't a weak derp and had stupid floating around powers. )

Nice to meet you Winry, say were you born that beautiful or did it all just come into place after you were taken out of the sweet factory?

( shots fired everywhere! )

[He should still teach it to her two best friends. Though a giant suit of armor moonwalking might be frightening all by itself.]

[Cue embarrassed flush.]

( he had that ability. )

[So unlike the boys she knows. Well, Ling could be like this. Very flirty. She usually hit him with a wrench for it.]

We barely met and already you're falling in love with me. Maybe you should calm down, I am a taken man after all.

( he says this in the same joking manner as before. )

I should calm down? You're the one flirting with me.

[She might sound serious. Or...amused. Let's go with amused.]

So...what's with the clothes? Is this your...superoutfit?

[She flicks his vest. That vest.]

( this would be one of those moments where he'd look at the camera and break the fourth wall. he doesn't, but he does make an amusing face at winry. )

I highly doubt that. You're really coming onto me.

( as soon as she said that, he laughed a bit. )

This old thing? No way, if I get a superoutfit, trust me it will be super.

Be careful, Ferris. My friend hit someone with a metal arm because he thought a prince was flirting with me.

[Before any of them knew he was a prince, but it wouldn't have stopped Ling from flirting anyway.]

How super will it be?

Well it depends on what I can get. I don't want to be one of those cheap costume wearers like He-Man or something.
