01.The city of Heropa, Florida is what one might expect from a small, bright and cheery place, where locals are friendly enough and local shop owners might offer a free drink to welcome you to their fair city. Some of the locals might thank you for always lending your service to the nation, while others might not say anything -- but if you have something nasty to say, better not say anything at all, right?

They are, however, in the middle of some awfully hot weather, so some good samaritans have gained the approval of the government to close off a few of the streets for some good old-fashioned fun. They've equipped everyone who steps in with water guns of varying quality, and there's also access to water balloons, a slip n' slide, and more! Why don't you grab an ice cream cone, watch the festivities, and cool off? But you'd better be careful - there's always a munchkin or two here to spray any unsuspecting onlookers they may find.

02. De Chima, Virginia, is a large city with a healthy economy, with large numbers of citizens waiting to be awed by your very presence. Look at you! Organic wonder! Science and technology are the lifeblood of this city, so you're likely to come across a good many locals taking your picture with the newest of devices. The imPort craze remains high here, and you may find yourself cornered by overzealous imPort fans, media wannabes and opportunists alike, shoving cameras in your face. Their questions are likely to be fairly mundane, however; get ready for an interview about your taste in romantic partners, personal underwear choices, favorite foods, and more!

On this lazy summer day, the biggest buzz comes from a group of teens and tweens who are all taking part in a massive scavenger hunt spread via social media! What are they gathering? You! ImPorts are likely to be targeted and asked to pose for pictures in which they demonstrate their powers, video clips in which they share fun facts and secrets about their home worlds, and much more! If you're not interested, you better hurry home -- they're persistent!

03. Maurtia Falls, Pennsylvania has had its ups and downs since imPorts started disappearing. The city's political core now gutted with its mayor and supreme ambassador exported out, the streets have returned to the hands of the local people -- and incidental, the local criminal element. More so here than the streets of any other imPort city, the battle between good and evil looks more like a war of escalation than a heroic tale.

As your character walks down the street, they may find themselves thrust within what appears to be an organized protest and a smaller counter-protest. There's shouting, there are chants. You pick up rhythmic beats of THE END IS NEAR, GET THEM OUT OF HERE clashing against the clumsier counter-chants of IMPORTS ARE PART OF US. You probably don't know why, but there are sects of people who believe your kind is bringing about the end of the universe. You'll probably learn why, in due time. But given the scorching tension of the situation you have found yourself in, it's probably a good idea NOT to use your powers.

But even keeping your powers on the down low, you're of keen eye, or at least today you are, as fate would have it. You see a boring looking man, perhaps in his mid-20s, with a cluster of boring looking companions (three or four at most) wearing backpacks as they all uniformly step back and don black masks. The protests are crossing the street ahead of First National Bank. These men beeline towards the bank.

They are going to rob it, and people are going to get hurt, you're sure of that. They're probably armed, given their backpacks. What do you do?

04. Nonah, North Carolina, is the liveliest of all cities; loud, busy and there's always some kind of energy in the air that gets everyone buzzing with excitement. You may find yourself in the midst of a few closed-off streets for some occasion or another - whether it be a food cart festival, no-car day, or something else! - and surrounded by the hum of people, the waft of food being served on the street, and plenty of attention

Today there's a big lemonade stand on one busy sidewalk, staffed by a group of industrious kids. Aww, isn't it sweet? Wait...is that a cookie stand a little ways down, also run by elementary-to-middle schoolers? Heck, the entire block is full of kid-run mini-businesses — a gathering of pint-sized entrepreneurs! And they have their eyes on you, hero, because as a celebrity imPort, your pockets are full of $$$, right?

05. Jeopardy, Nevada by all rights shouldn't exist. A glowing neon city smack in the middle of the desert, the only reason it's still here is that the central nuclear power plant has tapped half a mile down into a subterranean lake for its water supply. So though the desert around it may be barren, the occupants of this small city are happily self sufficient. Those weird figures you see out of the corner of your eyes? Don't worry too much. Probably just weird radiation after effects. Jeopardy has a lot of those.

What's that sound? Why, the Church of the Ancient Web Mistress's choir is putting on a performance! A sizable contingent of the congregation's musically-minded members has gathered downtown, attempting to forge a spiritual connection through the power of song. Sure, these hymns sound a little spooky to your ears, but the sincerity is what matters, right? And the churchgoers, who are also handing out lyric sheets to interested participants, are sincerely interested in getting some imPorts to join in as temporary members of the choir. Never hurts to get a little more press and tithes, right?

01. Heropa

[ Carol is sticking to the sidelines for the most part, sipping on a root beer float someone had handed her for free, dressed in a way she thinks is inconspicuous, with her leather Air Force jacket on over a Nirvana t-shirt and jeans, with a flannel wrapped around her hips and a local sports team hat pulled over her blond curls.

The whole water fight strikes her as something Monica would really get a kick out of, but that Maria would hate due to the frivolity and the mess. That thought puts a dumb, reminiscent smile on Carol's face, and she isn't quite paying attention to where she's walking, allowing some conniving participant to hit her square in the chest with a jet from a super soaker.

Carol gasps at the blast of cold water, but her gaping mouth soon turns into a smile, as she drops her now ruined float in a nearby garbage can and picks up a huge tub of waiting water balloons. ]

Oh, now it's on!

[ Hope you're prepared to be bombed from above, because Carol is grabbing the bucket and taking to the skies, raining down balloons on whoever seems like they would make a good target below. ]

02. Network

I've apparently missed two and a half decades, between what year it was for me yesterday and what year it is, here and now. And to be honest, I wasn't exactly around for a half dozen years before that.

Point is, I need to play catchup. Can anyone tell me what sort of TV and music I've missed out on? Is No Doubt still a thing? What about Nirvana? Anyone got any recommendations for movies I should rent from Blockbuster?

03. Jeopardy

Carol isn't much of a singer. She appreciates music, sure, but typically starts away from making any herself. It's just never been one of her talents, or something she felt passionate enough about to try to learn.

Still, she finds a spontaneous group choral sing-along interesting enough to catch her attention, as she stands on the edge of the crowd with her arms crossed over her chest. "Is it just me," she asks the person standing next to her, "or are you expecting them to break out into the Monster Mash next?"

[ Okay, this is so not what he was expecting. He’d sort of tuned out the welcome entourage after the “hey there are superheroes” and went straight into checking out all the cool portals to different cities. (Why doesn’t his world have portals? That seems like something Dr. Strange could whip up in like two seconds flat.)

Anyway, Peter winds up awkwardly stuck with a group of his fellow teenagers, backpack (with a certain spider suit and pair of AR glasses) slung over his shoulder. Totally normal teenager. Yep. Still with the barcode on his wrist (-10 points for dystopian creepiness, not cool), but definitely not possessing anything that could be a superpower. ]

I mean, you can check me off the list if you want, but I swear I don’t have any superpowers. Is this kind of thing normal?

[ Like, he’s into it, but not when he has a secret identity torpedoing barcode on his wrist. ]

JEOPARDY

[ Is anyone really surprised by Spider-Man investigating someone calling themselves an Ancient Web Mistress? If that’s not a siren’s call to action, he doesn’t know what is.

So here’s a webslinger in a red-and-navy carbon fiber suit, sticking to the walls a little ways above the crowd, deciding that maybe getting even a little bit of a look before dashing in there is probably the right call. It’s possible this is just a weird cult, right? Like Scientology instead of HYDRA or whatever. But he’s still super weirded out. Also casually either talking to (or swinging down to approach) any fellow Imports also checking this out. He’s masked for this one, though his voice probably gives him away as not being, like, an adult. ]

I’m not the only one who thinks this is creepy, right? Like, is there a spider-themed eldritch god they’re secretly summoning or something?

[Selfies hadn't been a thing a day ago, when he'd been on the Earth he'd known and learned to tolerate for the past few millennia. Try to get Forgiven one time and get sent into an alternate Creation. Figures. But, anyway, now that Loki knew selfies were a thing and people were lining up to take them with him? He was having fun.

His flaming sword was long gone, but he grabbed people in a playful headlock and made faces at the camera, giving everyone a real 'angel of death' special moment. If people asked nice enough, he'd even unfurl the angelic wings and show off the shining silver breast plate and chain mail for a few.

And why not? Wasn't anyone around to remind him why he shouldn't.]

And you see, if you think about it, any insertion of a non-native species ultimately results in the extinction of at least some of the native ecosystem- if not an utter destruction of the whole biosphere. It's basic Darwinism. The natural system isn't equipped for this.

[You'd think Loki would be having this chat in the anti-imPort side, but no. He's over there with the pro-imPort lot, casually chatting it up with a few increasingly more uncertain looking protesters.

The bank robbery? Totally ignored. People will be people and all.]

She's just here to observe the protest, but she can't help but be distracted by the ranting diatribe of this one weirdo. ]

[ The concept of what's odd or what's not is...well, who knows what it really is, for this young boy, nowadays. But he figures that this whole thing is odd. Must be odd. Doesn't stop him from appreciating a nice free ice cream when he's offered, though.

He walks along, small dog in tow, too aware of when eyes are set on him. Some people actually stop to talk to him. He doesn't really know what to say to them.

But then he gets to the water war area. And there's water guns and water balloons for anyone to just use.

He really, really wishes his friends were here.



Watch out for that balloon. And, of course, he didn't do it.]

There's an urge, you know. To fix it. To make it better. But he just watches, wondering what the point of all of this is. A whole new world, at least for him - and others brought here, like him - but it really seems like people aren't too different from back home, even in whole new worlds.

He notices the man and his friends by complete coincidence. Or maybe not, who really knows? He watches them them move, watches them put on the masks. He looks around at all the other people, and nobody else seems to notice.

He thinks.

He walks.

He's hiding behind a corner, watching the people in masks, keeping his eyes on them. Robbers, and they're just going to get away with it if no one does anything.

Dog whines, and Adam looks down at him. ]

We have to do something. We can't just let them go.

[ He's much more at ease with other kids. Even if it's a little weird to get all eyes on him like he's supposed to be someone special.

He's not had time to be used to it properly.

But it doesn't take long to make acquaintances, maybe get a few treats or something out of it. Not through magic tricks or anything of the sort, but by showing them the tricks he's taught his dog.

[Water balooned. Minding his own business, simply trying to walk down the street on a lovely summer day, and he's assaulted so cruelly. He came out to have a good time and he's honestly feeling so attacked right now.

Drama aside, the angel is mostly just startled by the sudden splat and the damp that follows. When he realizes what happened, mostly he's oddly charmed by it. Children being children. How cute. Of course that doesn't mean he won't retaliate. Somehow there's a water balloon in his own hand (quite a miracle really) and he's turning to lob it straight at--]

[This of course registers after the balloon is in flight so he's just thrown a water balloon at the Antichrist. That's fine. This is fine.]

Keith | Voltron: Legendary Defender

[ 01. Heropa ]

[Keith hadn't intended to get involved in a gun fight immediately after arrival, but sometimes you don't get to choose what fate throws at you. And yeah okay it's water guns, and his assailants are a bunch of kiddos, but still. It might have been the large furry cosmic wolf that caught the children's attention first, but whatever it is, Keith and his lupine companion find themselves embroiled in a water war.

He resists at first, but well, they're persistent. And more endearing than anticipated. And given how twisted up his mind is, finding himself here, out of his world, away from his team, it's actually nice to take his mind off all that for a moment.

He's in full paladin armor (though the helmet has been set aside for now) and he's armed himself with a decent watergun, and he's cheated a bit teleported with the space wolf to duck behind a bush, swinging around, ready to ambush and drench what he expects to be one of the munchkins, but maybe he's mistaken. Maybe it's you, in which case he straightens up quickly, lowering the weapon (fire arm etiquette is important even when it's a watergun) and offering a,] ...sorry about that.

[By now he's swapped out his armor for civilian clothes, which somehow still isn't letting him manage incognito as well as he would like. He's quick to dodge cameras and quicker to dodge questions.]

Uh... no. Look, you've got the wrong guy, I--

[He winces at the flash of a camera and sighs.] I don't have time for this.

[Another flash, another flurry of questions. He could use an extraction? Help?]


[ 03. Maurita Falls ]

[Trying to keep his head down (complicated given the large strangely colored and vaguely glowing wolf padding along at his side) Keith makes his way through the crowds of protests, moving with a surprising amount of ease, but he's had some experience navigating battlefields, so this is nothing. Yet anyway. The tensions are uncomfortably high. And the young man with the scar slicing across one cheek looks like he's feeling that tension.

Which is why he's swearing under his breath when he catches sight of the men bee-lining for the bank.]

Damn it. [He's not exactly the type to stand down if he can stop something bad from happening. He flexes his fingers by his side and the black bayard is in his hand instead of tucked inside his jacket, flaring once into a long straight sword. More than ready to charge in, he hesitates if he notices someone else looking.]

That's trouble. [Stating the obvious.] Going in?

[Before she could stop herself, she was in the middle of a protest. Rei was new to the United States so she was still learning about the ImPort situation. She tried to take a few moments to observe and listen but a phrase caught her attention- the end was near.

She tucked her hair behind one ear as she tried to push through the crowd, perhaps she could find more information what was referring to. The end of the world- she had faced that before and never wanted the planet to face that again if she could help it.

It was difficult to push through the crowd but even through the mass of people, she could see a group of masked men heading away. She didn't have time to follow before the crowd moved and she found herself knocked into someone, nearly tumbling onto the ground with them.]

Forgive me, are you alright?

I'm sorry, please forgive me.

Jeopardy, Nevada

[There was something this town that drew her in. She could sense something but she couldn't figure it out and that bothered her. When she caught sight of something in the corner of her eyes, it was gone by the time she turned around.

Her steps lead her to a church of some type. She had never seen a church like this before, the hymns made her shudder inwardly but she took one of the lyric sheets that were handed to her. She had no intention of singing along, she just wanted to figure out what was going on.

She looked around with a frown to see if anyone else was just confused as she was.]

[Squall was already agitated by being caught up in the protest. Whatever their problems were, it wasn't any of his business. Blocking his way through the city street, however, became the real bother. He didn't budge much as the girl shoved into him, but he seemed pretty put-out and inconvenienced nonetheless. Or maybe he just had a poor, sulky attitude to begin with.]

[ unlike many new arrivals, it takes josh almost no time to settle in. he's been here before, after all, though it seems like it's been a while since he's been gone. it would be nice to think the people he'd once known are still around, but.. well. he's not holding out any particular hopes for that.

for now, it's hot. like, really hot. and who is he to turn his nose up at heropa trying to keep them all cool? so there's a leggy, freckled teenager perched on a bench underneath the overhang of a shop watching people run around chasing each other with water-guns, or slide down the slippery plastic, or stand under misters. in shorts, sandals, and a tank-top, his hands and feet are nevertheless carefully wrapped in bandages, and he's nursing an ice-cream cone that's already leaked mint chocolate chip on his bandaged fingers.

small children are no respecters of cold snacks, though, and whether you're under the overhang to get out of the heat, to ask him where he got that cone, or just in passing, you're treated to a pair of kids leaping onto the sidewalk with big old waterguns, which they're already spraying at both of you.

before the water hits, though, suddenly the jets of water become.. bubbles? big, iridescent bubbles in surprising shapes (stars, hearts, etc), which thrill the kids just as much as the almost-soaking. on the bench, josh has the grace to look a little bit sheepish, but if he's glanced at, he shrugs evasively. .. he didn't want his ice cream ruined. ]

[ ever seen a beanpole try to hide? well, now you have. these younger teens are being persistent as heck, and josh looks a little desperate for help. they're talking too fast for him to follow their lips, and they keep trying to take photos, and he was just here to pick up a sandwich??

he spots you, and his expression lights up hopefully as he.. actually ducks around behind you like a coward, leaving you at the mercy of tween sleuths. ]

Jogging in the park, happy for the scents of green grass and summer florals? Doable. Delightful, even. Being descended upon by a gaggle of teenaged human girls, cameraphones flashing, having his clean shirt pawed at and, oh, the questions–

You know what teenage girl didn’t have fifty fucking invasive questions for him? Oh, that’s right, Mary, the mother of Jesus.

Still, blessed simple creatures that these girls are, Gabriel decides to humor them. It’s not his Earth, besides. Things seem decidedly un-apocalyptic, even as it’s terribly strange, so strange he’d assume it to be a well-crafted forgery– and yet, notably, without the telltale whiff of sulfur.

Just smile, and nod, and...what’s that thing Aziraphale might have mentioned decades or centuries ago? Charm? Be charming. ]

[ Water balloon wars were a pretty good way to not think about this whole thing. He'd even got Dog into it, and was happily pelting random unsuspecting people and rubbing away, or hiding behind something.

You know what's easy to hit? Big targets. Such as big, tall, nicely suited angels. ]

Takashi Shirogane | Voltron: Legendary Defender

01. Heropa

[A water balloon flies through the air with pinpoint accuracy and Shiro thrusts his metal hand up to catch it. The balloon bursts and drenches him in cold water. His Paladin armor white with black accents keeps the worst of it out but his two-toned black hair with a tuff of white gets soaked along with his face and neck. He laughs and jerks up his water gun with a bright grin on his face.]

You left yourself wide open!

[For someone who was in space in the middle of a war just a few short hours ago, Shiro has adapted. He saw how far out of his depth he was and decided to blow off the excess energy on something productive. It never hurts to earn goodwill and get a feel of his surroundings.

He never thought he'd make it back to Earth. A thought he shoves aside to be looked over later.

metal lion sits in the shade watching the proceedings. It turns his head to look directly at him as he slips into the shadows intent on sneaking to a better position to keep the game going. The Lion's head turns to track his progress giving him away.]

02. Maurtia Falls

[He's seen enough war zones and pre-riot situations to guess how badly he needs to keep a low profile in Maurtia Falls. He'd gone from his armor to a long-sleeved baseball T-shirt of black and white, a pair of jeans, and black boots. Yet he still looks out of place with the metal lion pacing beside him and the glint of metal when he briefly rolls up his right sleeve.

He'd been planning to only do recon and learn all he could about why the city seems so unstable. All of that changes when five people apart from the protestors step back and don masks. He pauses if someone else is nearby, glancing their way.] If you're coming, come on. We can head south and cut them off.

[Shiro ducks into a side street and picks up speed, glancing back again to see if he's being followed. If he is, he nods and slows up enough for them to catch up.] Why don't we come up with a plan of action before we get there? Just in case.

03. Jeopardy

[As the hymns fill the air and churchgoers hand out sheets a large black wolf lingers at the edges of the crowd. Even in the woods, he would seem a little off. His right leg is metal halfway down and his stares are a little too intelligent. His ears go back at the hymns build like a storm about to break.

One of the churchgoers lets go of a lyric sheet too fast and it gets ripped away by the wind. The wolf bursts into motion, leaping up and catching it. He hits the ground running and ducks away from anyone attempting to get it back. Shiro keeps his grip on the sheet loose as he dodges around a corner and slows down.

If he was followed, by the time they catch up. The music sheet is on the ground pinned down by the wolf's feet as he moves his head to scan the page. He looks up at any intrusion and lifts his right foot, using it to write on the ground.]

[ There's a teenager caught up in this mess, looking rather panicked. Maybe not for the most obvious reasons, though - he is here by accident, but he's trying to get away from the crowd so that he can change into his superhero suit, not just escape. He was pretty close to getting away, but then these five assholes stepped out and ... aw, hell. Shiro looks like he's gonna help, and Peter isn't sure how to do that without either getting away to change or exposing his secret identity. ]

I - I mean, I'm not a fighter, but sure? I've got a couple heavy books in my backpack. I could probably hit 'em with that.

01. Heropa, Florida

[This is the kind of party she can get behind. Helena is enjoying an ice cream cone in the shade as she people watches in short summer dress that allows her to blend in with the crowds. Honestly it is a pretty sweet affair. Everyone is cooling down and having fun. This is the kind of stuff she needs to see every now and then.

Of course lazily eating sweets is a good way to get yourself made as an easy target. Who could blame the kids for pointing their water guns at a pretty girl who managed to keep herself dry in this heat?

The second they do it ends the same way: her nailing said kid with a water balloon before they can fire off the shot. The purse at the seat next to her is full of them.]

Better luck next time, kiddo. [She lifts up her shades long enough to wink at them before they move on. Careful though! Helena might just toss a water balloon at someone passing by for fun. She really is no better than the kids. It is a party, after all.]

02. Nonah, North Carolina

This is her favorite city by a longshot. The place is buzzing with energy. Something always seems to be happening. She's pretty much in love with the place. It is safe to say she is throwing herself at all the kid-run businesses. She's blatantly ranking them much to the delight of the kids who are winning her approval. Helena will be making suggestions to any passersby and generally milling about like she has nowhere better to be.

He profers a $5 to Sarah, and buys a few of those brownies, then offers one to the woman who recommended them. "Care for one? I cannot possibly eat them all."

[There's something off about the man holding the water gun in the middle of the Heropan streets. Perhaps its because the expression on his face has barely changed since arriving. Perhaps its because he seems as if he'd be more comfortable holding an actual weapon. Perhaps its the fact that several water balloons are hovering in the air behind him. Whatever it is, you'll find Judd playing with anyone brave enough to come near him.

He's surprisingly gentle with the kids, and though tougher on the teenagers, he still will let them get a few hits in. For the adults... he's not quite so generous.

No matter the age group, at some point a water balloon will be hurled in your general direction via telekinesis, and if (and only if), you weren't the intended target, you'll find yourself graced with an extremely flat:]

02. De Chima
[Judd's unprepared for the first question for a show of his abilities, spinning on his heel with a glare that could freeze a polar bear, but upon looking at the juveniles requesting it, his expression softens somewhat. He agrees, but only if they first showcase a skill of their own.

It isn't long before word's spread that the tall, expressionless man who seems the least likely to agree to such games is open to the scavenger hunt, and he has a small crowd of teens showing off something to him, an in exchange Judd shows off some sort of small but flashy display of telekinesis.

Noticing that another imPort seems to be watching them, he raises an eyebrow in silent question their way.]


03. Nonah
[As Judd stares down the street of kid entrepreneurs he knows that whatever money he'd been given would soon be completely gone. He goes from booth to booth buying at least one of everything, taking care (and conscious effort) to show some emotion on his face. He murmurs words of encouragement to each child.

Feeling, not so much as seeing, someone staring at him, he turns, all traces of emotion gone.]

04. Anywhere
[Ever since arriving, Judd had found this world to be too loud. Humans as a race had never generally been gifted with strong mental shields, and the humans of this Earth were no exception. It was what made it so easy for less scrupulous Psy to reach in and take whatever information they desired from the humans around them. But the inhabitants of this world seemed to have no shielding at all, and for a 9.4 Gradient Telepath, it took all that much more effort for Judd to block it out, causing a cavalcade of whispers of unwanted thoughts slipping through. The rudimentary mental shields he'd thrown up around his existing ones were already starting to break apart, and though part of it was due to it being a rush job, a good part of it had to do with the random crowds that started yelling--both physically and mentally--personal questions that he simply wasn't going to answer.

Ducking into a seemingly quiet alleyway, he presses himself up against the nearest wall and he begins to fix said shields... or at least until he's interrupted. Sensing someone nearby, his eyes quickly refocus as he glares at the interloper.

Bart doesn't really know what to think of this new situation, but he's nowhere near half the detective Tim is. But hey, they're having some kind of big event, so at least that means there's plenty of folks gathered and maybe he can get some information. He wasn't exactly expecting to be dodging the odd water-balloon or squirt-gun battle.

Oh, well, water isn't so bad, and he ends up caught in a bit of a pickle with a bunch of kids who remind him of Wally's twins. Not that he really minds being the target of their boundless energy, and it shows.

"Grahhhh! You've found my weakness!" he says with his best (lousy) villain intonation as he falls dramatically to the grass after being "caught" once again. "Evil such as I can never be washed away!"

A beat, and he notices his new audience. "So, how'm I doing?" he asks in a stage-whisper.

02. Fan-Service, Virginia

Kid Flash was in his element. The scavenger hunt may have been something he would never attempt because, well, it wouldn't be fair, but helping out with some of the items on the checklist wasn't so bad. He'd loved Flash Day in Keystone, and sometimes they'd done similar stuff as the Teen Titans when there was time. Community outreach was part of the job, because you didn't want to be lumped in with the people you caught breaking the law.

So he'd spend time signing autographs and juggling random objects and playing one-person baseball and the like for those who asked. At least if they were polite about it. It had been too long since he'd really done something just to reach out and connect to people.

"So, who do I make this one out to?"

[ Flint had been enjoying Jeopardy - he'd gone to the edges of the city and collected a bunch of sand to add to himseld, which is now flaking off him. But now someone's handed him a lyric sheet for some cult of the ancient web mistress and he scowls, crumpling the paper and throwing it over his shoulder. ]

[ A beach somewhere, maybe heropa, or maybe the desert outside Jeopardy, who knows. But you wander there and there's a big, glorious sand castle. But as you look it changes shape and size, maybe even architectural style.

03. [He didn’t want to, but he found himself drawing closer to where he knew Guzma’s base of operations was. He couldn’t explain it fully, but he knew he needed to keep an eye on him and his ragtag group of hooligans. Make sure they weren’t in over their heads or anything.]

[So naturally, he was thrilled when he walked into a robbery taking place. These idiots clearly had guns, and Nanu had the powers to deal with them. Damn it. DAMMIT. Before he can make a truly rational decision, he finds himself running towards the scene, sandals smacking rhythimcally against concrete.]

the thing is, miles is still pretty new to this whole spider-man gig, and he's not used to the, uh, fame yet. especially when it seems to be doubled here. ]

[ Usually Bart was the one with fast reaction times, but he'd just started to put on a little speed as he saw the kids with water guns about to be bowled down with the teenager on the slip'n'slide managed quite the acrobatic feat and nearly ended up taking his head off as he bled momentum off around the lamppost. For a second Bart couldn't help trying to figure out the physics involved, because he wasn't entirely sure any normal person could pull it off.

And that distraction made him nearly miss the apology. ]

When you run on the warm side a heatwave is not the best. He'd quite honestly prefer somewhere colder. So he didn't feel so sleepy. So if he looked a little frazzled then it was the weathers doing. He had been handed a drink at some point which was helping. It also didn't help that the whole situation reminded him of times when he'd been out with his brother and the others in the neighbourhood. They'd had their own water fights in the summer break. He missed those times. So it's unsurprising that being lost to the days gone and the weather in general he isn't quite up to getting out of the way of everyone and being hit with water is inevitable.

2. [De Chima]
Alex's powers are destructive and very unsubtle. Which meant the first time he showed them off it only attracted him more attention. Which he was trying to get away from. He'd taken to telling anyone coming up to him they'd got the wrong person or they'd seen someone else doing whatever it was... which mostly worked. He was still looking awkward and trying to keep a low profile by taking less used routes.

He'd been here a week now, and awake for a few days. He was still not sure he wasn't dreaming, but he was thinking that he was not. He had expected to die, but the names of the cities here and kinds of powers, as well as the attitudes he had seen, well, it was so different from what he knew to exist on his Earth that he had a feeling that it was all true. He had seen time travel, so why not this?

Still, waking up here in this hospital, not dead, and with a feeling of unreality, it was weird, and he felt as if he very well might be going a little nuts, reality aside. The only thing keeping him sane was the hope he could get back to his family. His grandchildren needed him.

The second weirdest and most worrying part had been the protestors, some of whom had made their way into his room, before being caught and thrown out. Well, after Noah, to his own surprise, used his new powers to hurl the man across the room. Apparently powers were good for something, anyway. That was the first weirdest and most worrying thing. He had powers. It made him feel like his whole identity had been changed, invalidated, and fundamentally altered. How was he supposed to deal with this?

He now had an actual guard on this hall, well, he and the other few powered people recovering, The hospital staff had resorted to moving all of them to this one wing, and thus being able to guard it with the fewest staff needed.

And so he rested, and tried to read all he could on this new planet. When someone came in, he looked up with a mostly real smile.

"Yes?"

Noah smiled as he examined the paperwork then put it all in place and handed it over to the customer. It was a businesslike smile, but well meant.

"There you go. All set. Now remember to take the pamphlets about our company number and hours. Wouldn't want a new customer to not be able to reach us."

Noah nodded as he looked around. He had landed here, unexpectedly, at the edge of death. A little hospital time, and suddenly he was right as rain. And yet... he felt utterly out of place. How did one deal with the world as it was? A world where his time, his place, and his family, was long lost to him?

It made him worry, a lot. But he worked here, and he did his best, and he would keep watching, keep noting things, until it all became useful. He had been adjusting to this world, and how people knew his name, and knew some things about him, as well as wanting pictures with him and his autograph. It was odd, but mostly pleasant, compared to what he had known back home. And so far, no one had tried to kill him.

Today's thing, with the scavenger hunt, had been amusing, if a little disruptive to business, but he had talked to his boss, and had managed to swing it to a good thing. He would pose, and do so using his powers, if the hunters spent at least ten dolllars and signed up the the newsletter email. It got him brownie points with his boss, and made sure not just anyone would come in.

As someone else approached, he looked up.

"Hi! Welcome to Copies R Us. How can I help you, today?"

---What Nightmares are These?, Heropa

The heatwave was making his adjustment here a little slower, and while he was out of the hospital and okay to work, he was still finding himself moving slowly. Until he sensed something coming at his face. Without a hesitation, he blinked, and popped into existence ten feet from where he had been, as well as up on the roof. He stared down at the street, ready to attack whoever had thrown something at him, only to see a kid, and a water balloon harmlessly landing on the ground.

Oh, right.

He shook his head, and sighed. This adjusting to normal life, and having powers, was taking a lot more than he had thought it would. He didn't want powers, he didn't like them, and he felt them almost an imposition, but there he was. And he would figure it out. He always did.

In the meantime, he scouted the ground below, chose a point well away from the kids, visualized it in his mind, and teleported down again, feeling himself move as if sideways. When he nodded, he was there, and he turned and headed away from the kids, shaking his head. They reminded him of his grandkids, and even of Claire when she was that young and that sent a jerk of pain at his heart as he strode off.

Claire, I miss you, still.

The video opens with Noah sitting at a table next to a window in his apartment, which is sparsely, but comfortably furnished, looking out toward what some might recognize as the Heropa Porter facility, and looking like he is thinking as he watches the city. He turns to face the camera with a smile. ]

I am curious. Has anyone here heard of Odessa? Or Primatech? Or the Petrellis, for that matter?

[ He would prefer to not be so conspicuous, but he also was with few options and no resources, yet. So he smiled and nodded to the screen. ]

I'm from Odessa, Texas, and so was looking to see if anyone from my version of Earth was here.

[ He waves a hand at the outside. ]

Thank you to those who have welcomed me, and helped me settle. It was not easy being here without my family, but you've made it better.

[ He gave an obviously warm smile to the camera.

Piece by piece, his 'persona' was born, and put into place. Once more, the mask was in place, and once more, he would do what he had to do. No one would see the gun he carried everywhere, or the true purpose of the long walks where he sought secrets. They would just see the mask.

Jane hated hot weather—or at least, when it was hot and humid. No matter how someone might spin in, the body still couldn’t sweat properly and it was just gross. So gross. When she heard that some streets were being blocked off for water sports and such, she couldn’t resist.

Nor could she resist ice cream.

“Yes. The biggest bowl you have. Extra toppings.”

Was she going to get sick? Probably. As long as she got brain freeze first.


02. DE CHIMA;

If only they cared about her work, Jane thought as she continued to sprint down the street. Where these kids and groupies were coming from, she had no idea. All she wanted to do was see their own latest technology—not be part of some craze! At first, she played along. What harm came from answering questions like her favorite color or to take a moment to pose? But then more came. And more. The questions became personal. A little creepy.

If only she could use her gravity powers to fly out of here!


03. MAURTIA FALLS;

Jane frowned at the protests, taking a few minutes to listen to all of them. She was new to this world, and so, did not know about a lot of the history between its original inhabitants and the part of the population that were like her. “Imports”. Still, as she continued to observe one of the groups, the one that was talking about the end of the world, she wanted to chime in. She wanted to correct them, because there were scientific models about this stuff.

But then she saw the men with the masks. With their weapons. Tension filled her stomach as no one else seemed to notice. She couldn’t use her powers without risking someone else … but she wasn’t a stubborn, hot-headed person for nothing. Quickly, she ran through the crowds and to the bank. If she could get there first and warn a guard, get the building on lock down, maybe it wouldn’t become a disaster.

He spotted her running, and that was all it took, he darted out of the cafe he had been in and across the street. She was running and looked afraid, worried, and his hand tightened on his axe, even as the skies turned dark with clouds.

"Jane! Over here!"

His voice carried across the street like thunder, even as a curtain of lightning slammed to the ground behind her, not close enough to her pursuers to hurt them, but between them and her nonetheless. It danced across the street from side to side, missing any actual people, mysteriously, but creating an invulnerable barrier.

[ Andrés has always had a flare for the gothic as well as the dramatic. Being invited to perform in a spooky city with ominous music, singing about praise to some spider mistress is so his element. Even if he's been kidnapped, probably for a large ransom since his family is so rich, well...he certainly has no qualms about participating in the festivities. Might as well enjoy the kidnapping before it turns sour.

But he only agrees to perform on one unwavering condition -- he gets to have a dramatic entrance. And when the choir members accepts his terms, they probably don't realize just how dramatic is dramatic. They're probably thinking something normalized -- Andres front and center, maybe a crowd parts for him and he walks up. Maybe a solo. But no. That isn't enough for the chocolate prince.

Armed with the powers of illusion, a thick mist billows out from around the performers as Andrés Valdez seems to float down from it -- wearing a dark, gothic cape that is held up by several tiny, screeching bats. When he arrives and strikes a pose front and center, the mist disperses into an explosion of tiny spiders that race off into the crowd -- melting into the ground after a moment or two. ]

Before we begin, there is something you should know.

[ A dramatic pause. ]

I was found at an orphanage when I was a baby during a thunderstorm. When the nun gave me to my adopted parents, she said...be careful. There is something dark and ominous inside of this one.

[ The bats shriek and fly off, allowing his cape to flutter down around him. Andrés maintains an absurdly serious expression. ]

Also this is my wedding day. My husband could not attend, but if you wish to leave wedding gifts regardless...I would much appreciate it.

Evelyn may even laugh later, much later, at the divine dose of karma that was her being gifted with these ridiculous powers when her hatred of Supers rivaled none. That her particular set of powers, from what she had noticed so far, were rotten. Technomancy when she was already as skilled as she was with technology was a damn waste.

What was worse was the swarm of teens and tweens, children, that took to the streets for some ridiculous sort of hype over the Supers. That she fell under the type that they seemed interested in learning about- that she was even lumped together with Supers.

There's no hiding the unimpressed look on her face, even as she hides behind sunglasses and an iced coffee. ]

[ Unfortunately, that does little to appease the growing crowd, and even as she tries to push her way past them, it becomes increasingly more difficult. It's more than apparent that her temper is growing short with every passing minute-

[ Although Evelyn is technically an imPort, she's not so keen on the superheroing seemingly required of them during their stay here. Sure, this is all a get out of jail free card for her (as though Winston wasn't going to hire the best lawyer money could buy and get her a parole soon enough), but that hardly means she's all eager to give back to yet another society that has weakened itself with the want of counting on Supers.

And while she hates the idea of using the powers she's been given, if it's to stoke the fires further... The phones of those against the imPorts start going crazy, alarms ringing or batteries overheating. There's nothing that can link it back to her, not that she's aware of... Not even that sly smirk tugging at the corner of her lips. ]

What a mess.

[ It's spoken to no one in particular- and if no one stops her, she has more important things to attend to: like ignoring the very obvious bank robbers so she can go grab a bite to eat. ]

From out of the crowd, a form looms suddenly, a giant, golden form that shoulders aside children and lowers one golden-scaled shoulder to her.

The voice of this dragon, yes, dragon, booms but only lightly,and is pleasant, something like a British tone, but not quite.

Staring around at the children, he simply says "Boo." and most scatter, for the moment.

[If it's one thing Mizuki loves, it's having fun. Water-based fun is even better, and she's out in force, one (shiny) Alolan raichu surfing the air beside her, easily over half her height. Yea. She's a small tiny just shy of five foot tall.

Is it cheating to have your pokemon helping? Mizuki doesn't think so. Look. At least they have the decency to wait until you're done with food or drink before lobbing a water balloon at you. Though it's less a water balloon and more... a bunch of them.

[Trainer and pokemon high-five each other with matching grins and look ready to go for round too, regardless of if you want to or not.]

[Or maybe, when she's not throwing water balloons, she gets you with that ridiculously big super soaker in her hands. It looks like it could easily half her height but she doesn't care.

Fun is fun and as far as this Champion cares? anyone within the boundaries of this street party is fair game.]

[Not that she's doing that all the time. By the Tapu, no. Gotta keep up the energy for fun and games with food. Naturally, it's ice-cream and of course she shares with Hoshii, the raichu sat upon its own tail as it hovered and lapped up its own ice-cream. Mizuki herself sits on a bench, super soaker across her lap, own ice-cream in hand and wimpod by her side.

Said wimpod is munching on a pokebean with happy sounds. Though, if you approach, the pokemon is absolutely going to retreat behind Mizuki.] Ahhh... Sorry. I think you startled him. He's really timid and shy.


02- De Chimia
[No lie: Mizuki is both flattered by all the attention and more than a little weirded by some of the questions. At least it's all mostly age appropriate. Thank the tapu for that.

But watching them all react to Pika like the mimikyu is a pikachu? Yea. Some of the natives around her have already become fans and are snapping photos of the little show-off, but others are scoffing and call it a 'Wannabe Pikachu'.

She's trying hard to ignore it, she really is. But she can't help the flinches or worried looks towards her pokemon, even as she answers questions. Thankfully, the mimikyu seems to be ignoring it as well. Probably because it gets to show off.] Um... I haven't really tried much of this world's food, but I think I like the lemon cakes the best and the spicy food. It's not good as the spicy malasada's from home though, but it's good enough. No- But Hau would know where to the find ones here, I'm sure of it.

[There's a small laugh along with a grin.] It'd probably be one of his powers!


04 - Nonah
[She's enjoying buy all the things from the kids, from cookies to bric-a-brak to art to a giant cup of lemonade, heavy on the lemons. here and there she stops and poses for photos, almost everyone wanting selfies with the ninetales at her side or the mimikyu, both of whom are lapping up the attention.

Also very Shiny right now, thanks to one of Mizuki's powers.

Everyone's enjoying themselves right up until inevitably someone tries to take the disguise off the mimikyu to see what's underneath.

Whatever that person glimpses under the cloth has them bolting away with a fearful scream.]

[Mizuki looks around with a worried look while Pika scoots behind her legs with an irritated 'kyyuuuu' as the ninetales angles itself between trainer and unhappy locals. Plz help.]

[he has enough of a Leader Voice to make a good chunk of them give up and leave. maybe also because they recognise him. archie tilts his head at mizuki.]

[ The abrupt change from winter to summer would put anyone in shock- Maureen didn't exactly have the appropriate wardrobe upon arrival, but that didn't stop her from going shopping first thing. So she's hanging up her leather leggings and replacing them with dangerously short, tattered jean shorts and a bikini top- it would do for now as she made her way through the streets of Heropa with her free iced coffee thanks to the cute girl at the café down the road.

A girl could definitely get used to this.

As soon as she comes across the water fight, however, her eyes light up. ]

Oh my God.

[ She finishes her coffee in record time, tosses it in the nearest garbage pail.... and shortly after she's given a water gun, she feels icy cold water hit her back. She gasps and turns around. ]

Ok- who did that?


DE CHIMA

[ These devices they've been given are nice. Like, real nice. Maureen didn't think she'd ever see anything like this, at least in her lifetime. Joanne's cellular phone was about the size of a brick- and hardly anyone had them. These seemed to be much more common- everyone has one, after all.

It doesn't take long for her to figure out the basics of the phone- particularly the photography function... and everyone in town seems to have a question for each imPort that passes. Maureen doesn't mind answering lengthy questions about "boring" things, and she's not particularly shy about the volume in which she answers. ]

Romantic partners? [ She laughs. ] Babe- I'd hardly say I'm looking for anything right now. But if someone catches my eye, who am I to walk away?

[ A pause and another question that has her laughing. ] Look, when you wear things like what I do? Underwear just isn't an option.

B
[ The teens and tweens running around have even more requests- ones that have her trying to figure out how to do it before someone suggests a "boomerang".

She has no clue what this means, but agrees to it anyways. She can be found posing for the picture- holding an apple in her hand and blowing a kiss, resulting in a sound wave and shrill kind of scream, at it- causing it the fruit to explode and for her to howl with laughter along with the kids. ]


MAURTIA FALLS

[ Protests. Now this was something right up Maureen's area of expertise.

She wants, needs, to insert herself in the protest- of course on the side in favor of imPorts... but with the tensions as they are, and her being so new in town, there was little context for her. And absolutely no time for her to plan some sort of spectacle like she was so used to doing.

It's when she's halfway through the crowd that she notices the group of sketchy men heading towards the bank. Far be it for her to suggest that someone doesn't need the money- they probably have good reasons for this shit. But wasn't she supposed to be some sort of hero here?

With a sigh, she shoves her way back out of the crowd and reassures herself there will be other protests and she'll have more time to plans for those.

But someone should probably stop her before she makes a spectacle of herself with her powers this time. ]

[Getting attention for heroing is kind of new to Casey. She hadn't even really bothered with the whole... secret identity thing. Thankfully, some of the goodies are in little baggies she can hold in her armpits until she can sit down. But for now? She's basically a walking tower of treats ready to collapse. And also definitely trying to nibble off one of the brownie plates in the middle of her balancing act. Or shoving some towards someone who might be able to take some off her hands.]
