What is your character's job?: And are they sticking with it? Enjoying it? Coordinate with potential coworkers, employers, or patrons -- why not!

RUNDOWN -- what are your character's skills, likes/dislikes, urgent needs?: What are they good at, what do they hate, what do they need (and so on) so that others know what they can offer you.
What are your character's plans?: Either what they're doing as we speak or what you'd like to do with them!
Does your character have a secret identity?: Since this can get confusing at times. Is your character a superhero with a public identity or do just a few people know who they are? List them, even!

Yes, I am here for this! Marco has wonderfully complex/complicated feelings about his cultures. Especially since Eva, having immigrated in the 70s, has a lot different perspective and was a lot more assimilationist than a lot of modern day Latinas.

Then that's something I'd love to explore! Jaime here is very in touch with his roots - he's from El Paso and makes regular trips to Mexico to visit his extended family, all of which on his mother's side still lives in Mexico - so that will be an interesting bonding point, if not a point of contrast.

Fantastic! Yeah, Marco's experience is way different: The only extended family member he mentions is his Abuela, he doesn't speak Spanish natively (or even proficiently, he butchers it when he tries), and there aren't even people at his Mom's 'funeral'. And we see Eva talking to Marco about American history, and we know she's an immigrant who got her citizenship, but we don't hear or see her telling Marco anything about her time in Mexico. Add in that the 90s were talking about race/culture/ethnicity so differently from today and it's really interesting.

Plus he's 100% interested. He adores his mother and now that he's gone through some stuff himself, he understands there being hard parts of your life and wants to learn so he can support her if she needs it. And he got thrust into fame at the end of the series so now all of a sudden people expect him to know things/he sort of has to kind of care because him being Latino means something to people even if it's weird to him since he was raised mostly like a suburban white kid.

Oh yeah, that'll totally be fun to play with! And I don't think it would take much to get them on that topic; Jaime takes notes on the Metrics of MOM and has obviously noticed that there are very, very few Mexican imPorts that come in and out!

Where does Marco live/generally hang out?

Cool! Uh, honestly, Marco lives in De Chima but can be found almost anywhere. He's an explorer, and the fact that he can fly after Porting means traveling is pretty easy for him.

Is it terrible I want to suggest Mexican supermarket as Marco is trying to find food (because Eva did still cook when he was a kid plus he's a CA kid so he has standards for his Mexican and this America's Porter cities are not cutting it sorry.)

Awww, that works perfectly! Jaime's got rapport with some of the NPCs in Mexican groceries, so that sounds like a great place to start - especially bc he'll swoop in to help someone who looks like they're trying to find something in particular.

Sorry for the late response!! I'm definitely down for logging it out - I'll be gone for the first couple weeks of September, but I'll be backtagging if you'd like to do that, or we can set something up once I'm back proper!
