Nope. Just friends. [Not even, like, friends with benefits. Which isn't really something that Kenzi does often but she'd make an exception for some people.]

Besides, its mistletoe. It doesn't count unless you want it to.

[He sighs at the whole thing. Fine. He leans down and gives her a brief peck.]

[She'll let him get away with that if only because he seems uncomfortable with it. But she is a tad disappointed.]

[She takes a half step toward him with a little grin on her lips.]

[Mistletoe tends to be in doorways. And that means when he takes another step back, he's backed up against the wall.]

Her wings begin to flutter, slowly lifting her up into the air so she's face to face with David.]

[She flashes the most innocent smile she can muster, which is surprisingly innocent.]

[She frowns and lowers herself back to the ground, stepping back to give him some space as her wings fold against her back. She's taking that to mean he doesn't have the desire to kiss her.]

It’s not that it’s you. At all. It’s me. I’ve got this history of people I kiss not wanting me to kiss them, or some sort of power compelling me. And I guess the mistletoe is sorta like that. Like this can’t be what you want. It’s not like I have thought about kissing you.

[Shit that sounds like he has. U-turn!]

I haven’t. Not that I wouldn’t. You’re really pretty and all that. Because of course you are. But you have, I guess not Josh. That Kang guy maybe?

The mention of Josh and then Kang has Kenzi putting her hands up in a defensive manner, wings flaring behind her a little.]

Whoa, whoa. First off, Josh seems pretty, um, enamoured? Yeah, that's a good word. With Laurie and I'm not about to get in the middle of all that. Second, Kang is has a mate back home. And kids. And grandkids. Dude is like a big scalie brother to me and has never been interested in me like that.
