It's an old Earth tradition.

[ He points up at the plant. ]

When two people stand under the mistletoe, they're supposed to kiss.

... I'm not kissing you.

[Oh. Oh? A grin slowly forms on his lips and he places a hand on his hip.]

Then it's up to me, isn't it?

[Speedily - because he acknowledges this is embarrassing for poor Bean - he stoops and kisses the boy's cheek.]

[ Anakin is lucky Bean didn't have as thorough hand to hand training as his friends Ender and Petra did, otherwise he would have retaliated harshly for that maneuver.

As it is, he sputters and stumbles back a few steps, hand flying to his cheek. ]

For you being charming. [TELL HIM HE'S WRONG, WORLD. Anakin is looking like the cat that caught the canary, his eyes gleaming.] Plus the tradition has been satisfied now.

[Like...it ever mattered. Bean deserves more familial affection and it's hard for Anakin to not imagine Luke at his age.]

But fine. Whatever. Tradition satisfied.

You survived, but you might want to look out for other clumps of mistletoe.

[ Bean glares up at the offending plant, then engages his Porter-given power and grows in size until he's tall enough to reach the sprig of mistletoe and snatch it down from where it's hung. ]

I'll just take down every one I see. That way nobody gets caught under them.

[Aw nice try, kid. Anakin knows it won't be that easy. The sprigs might grow back for all they know and that will keep Bean busy.]
