Our test drive meme goes live this Friday (24th) and our applications open to the public on February 10th (12:01 AM), but that doesn't mean we can't start getting to know our prospective new players right now! And that you can't start getting to know us. Everyone is welcome to join in on this post, and everyone is likewise encouraged to promote it and welcome each other!

hi I was going to app at cnc but then endgame got announced so thought waiting would be best

I'm Hilda and I really like watching you guys even though I never ended up apping, I'm just having EXTREME CHOICE PARALYSIS for who to bring in

my options are Touko Fukawa (and Genocider Syo!) from Dangan Ronpa, Noire from Fire Emblem: Awakening, Abigail Hobbs from Hannibal, and in a break from the killer teen girls, Grace Makutsi from a tiny British tv show called the No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency. I don't really know what niches need to be filled, but who sounds fun?

heck yeah they would although I will always mourn the Ice Road Truckers that could have been had I just been able to keep the muppet in play, alas. I still think having an atmosphere for Syo to run wild would be great and super fun, and you've already seen that we have a fabulous Hannibal cast! But with the increased push on heroing and contributing to the community (which I guess would also force Fukawa and Abigail out of their shells too) I can see Mma Makutsi getting a niche pretty easily too, and ofc she's fucking hilarious.

my instinct is to of course shriek ABIGAIL HOBBS!! but I also love Fukawa and think she would be hilarious to have around (the CR potential between these two alone) so I'm actually no good at this "helping decide" thing, BUT those two get my vote!

well Noire also has a vicious split personality, but she's basically fantasy anime Fluttershy with the sweet awkwardness and then sudden FIRE AND FURY I WILL EAT YOUR BONES when provoked or endangered.

so basically you have two flavors of split personality available, do you want adorable anime girl or judgy legbeard?

AND YOU BRING UP A GOOD POINT. obviously I'm more familiar with Fukawa but both sound like they could be fun. Harvey/Two-Face in particular would probably get along equally well with either of their "bad" sides but in terms of the reverse, he'd probably be ambivalent to Fukawa's and either be okay with or really despise a sweet happy-go-lucky type. SO, potential either way! from a more general standpoint, though, if one would be harder than the other to make CR with I might recommend the easier one if you're planning on apping them first or sticking to just one character.

Noire's normal side is like a baby deer so she'd be easier to get CR with, but a large part of mom's appeal for Fukawa is it being a setting where I can have Syo set loose a lot more than in my other game. Heroing is going to result in Fukawa's triggers being flipped, and. welp.

Syo would be amazing in MOM (I'd definitely be open to the possibility of murder team-ups down the road because villain partnerships can be great) and I also think, though Fukawa is more reserved, a lot of fun things could possibly be done with her novel writing. There's some precedent of player-created literature so I could see her fitting in with the readers in game or even getting a following if she chooses to keep writing.

I'm not familiar with the others besides Abigail, but everyone sounds interesting anyway because KILLER TEEN GIRLS WHY NOT. 8)

this is the fourth option btw; she's a frumpy secretary who makes disapproval the eighth liberal art and is so proud of her community college diploma that the first username that comes to mind is her passing grade

I had to try very hard to not make all her faces bitchfaces, it was a very difficult impulse to resist

I'm super conflicted tbh because right now I'm leaning towards Fukawa or Abigail. I would really want to app midseason Abigail in a game with late canon Hannibal and/or Will where she'd have no idea what they know, but it's a great opportunity to have Syo turn into the dominant personality.

I actually am thinking of waiting until March for Abigail because reasons (confirming that tete de veau really was tete de veau, if you know what I mean; I still hope in vain) and need a review before her voice is solid. I'll probably do some late hits on it with Fukawa, though C:
