darkness manipulation: create, shape and manipulate darkness and shadows. With this power, he can also create and dispel shields and teleport himself via shadows, with the caveat being that there must be some shadow wherever he is trying to get to.
contact telepathy: When he touches someone, Kaz can project and receive thoughts/information mentally. At first, this will be limited to the thoughts a target is currently thinking; with practice, he will be able to dig past that or actively search. There is the potential for empathic transfer - Kaz could project his feelings if he isn't careful, and worse, he can receive feelings that his target is feeling. This is most likely to during lapses in concentration or during unintentional contact.

RUNDOW: Kaz is a conman, a card sharp, a schemer, a thief, a murderer, and ridiculously adept at sleight of hand tricks. He's an expert lock pick, safe cracker, and pick pocket. He likes money, well tailored clothes, competent colleagues, patrons that pay on time, hot baths, and a good magic trick. He dislikes setbacks, gullible people, and anyone that questions his plans.

Where can your character commonly be found? Gambling dens, backroom card games, hustling around Maurtia Falls and a few of the other cities to get the lay of the land and look for resources. He can regularly be found at cafes, bars, and restaurants he's taken a liking to.
Is your character open for pairings?: Sure, but good luck. Kaz has haphephobia (a fear of touching and being touched) that's wrapped up in PTSD and a general contempt for most people. If he can't use someone he's generally not interested.
Are you open to having your character get hurt? Or, for villains, hurt others?: Absolutely on both accounts. Kaz is willing to hurt most people without even needing a reason.
Is your character interested in teams?: Only if they're competent.

What kind of plots are you after?:
+ Crime. I have an OOC post up that outlines Kaz's talents, but in general he will do anything that someone pays him to. He might be discerning in who he takes money from, but not the job. Dirtyhands will see it done.

RUNDOWN -- what are your character's skills, likes/dislikes, urgent needs?:

Formerly a trained superhero and leader of his team in his canon, but also a complete introvert who mostly holes up to work out and train, or nurses a quiet drink by himself in the bar. He's still not good with crowds, but he's working on it and busting out of his shell. He loves being a big dumb do-gooder, reading, taking care of his plants, and collecting vinyls!! He really needs to get better at socialising and meeting more people.

What are your character's plans?: Mostly, he'll be picking himself up from the wreckage of cnc2020 and losing most of his family (which will leave him a depressed sadsack for a while). Having finally joined the Aegis reserves, Luther's going to explore being a superhero again, despite a metric ton of hangups about it and his sense of ~worthiness~ about it. (He might ALSO try to find people with magic or superpowers that might be able to transform his body back to looking human; I don't intend on this succeeding, but Luther wants to investigate the option.)
Does your character have a secret identity?: No, although his in-the-field superhero alias is Space
Where can your character commonly be found? At local Nonah bars & public libraries, helping people move (if your character is changing housing, I would love for him to have to move some furniture lol), or at Aegis HQ

What kind of plots are you after?: Luther's actually got a lot of really great non-family CR, but I want even more! RUNDOWN -- what are your character's skills, likes/dislikes, urgent needs?: Midnighter (or M as he more frequently goes by) is a bit of an ass, though one who will be the first to admit the is one. He doesn't have much of a brain-to-mouth filter (or rather he does, he just doesn't care), and so he's likely to say whatever it is he's feeling at the moment, or something designed to get a rise out of someone. That said, he's been working on the whole "being social" thing, and is finding he rather enjoys spending time with people when he's not working, even if he doesn't feel like he's one of them.
M possesses a very particular set of skills. Skills that make him a nightmare for very bad people. If you happen to take someone's daughter, M will look for them, and he will find them and ~~kill them~~ maim them harshly. He does this thanks to his handy implants, which enable him to see all of the possible outcomes of something before they occur. He uses this not just to find people who take other people's daughters, but often for mundane things like "what are the odds of that person on their cell phone walking into that lamp post?" He will use these against people to be a jackass.
He's quite patient with normal people, but has none for self-righteous assholes (read: most superheroes) and politicians (who technically also fall under the former). He's downright hostile towards "mad" scientists, or anyone who would cut corners or experiment on people to save a buck.

He also has a permissions post that I would love if you'd fill out.

What are your character's plans?: Deal with being broken in another alternate reality. Figure out how to live with another human being now that APollo has agreed to live with him.
Does your character have a secret identity?: Hahahahahaha, no. M is the closest thing he's got, and even then he'll tell you it's short for Midnighter at the drop of a hat.

RUNDOWN -- what are your character's skills, likes/dislikes, urgent needs?: Thanks to his best friend turning him into a vampire, Kirk's already poor social life became nonexistent. As a result, he's spent more of his time training his body to snap people's necks and toss them across the room. When not being extremely violent, Kirk's also a damn good biologist and a halfway decent detective. Other hobbies include computers, analyzing statistics, trying desperately to remain relevant to his friends, and crying while huddled on top of rooftops (or in the corners of basements. Wherever, really).

As a result of the end of Gods and Monsters, Kirk's currently in a crossroads in his life. The Justice League's way of being judge, jury, and executioner is no longer looking as rosy as it used to... but at the same time, he's not sure if he wants to give it up, either. And considering the man is pretty easily swayed by outside influences, it'll be a matter of time to see just where he falls.
What are your character's plans?: Getting back into biochemistry and bat science, and probably dealing with the fallout of murdering the Joker.

RUNDOWN -- what are your character's skills, likes/dislikes, urgent needs?: Judd's a highly trained former assassin with nearly off the charts levels of telepathy and telekinesis. Moreover, his special subdesignation of telekinesis allows him to manipulate human bodies on a cellular level, manipulating blood flow, cutting off circulation to the brain or heart, and moving tissue from one part of the body to the other. Though he initially used this to kill, he's been learning how to use it to heal instead; once successfully repairing a shattered human heart ravaged by a bullet. Since abandoning his forced career into assassinations, he became a lieutenant in a wolf pack where he came to be very protective of the people he considers family.

He likes guns, wolves, kids, protecting others, and sarcastic humor. Dislikes bullies.

A witch with a variety of magical abilities, now on the loose to find out who she is without a stack of prophecies to live through. I've neglected her a bit because Luther often takes up the lion share of my time, but I'm hoping to fix that this year.

What are your character's plans?: Recovering from the weirdness that was cnc2020! Making sure that Adam Young has a guardian, now that the kid is on his own 😭 She's also eyeing Adam Parrish for hiring him at her psychic's shop, and continuing her own magical training with Lilith, learning new spells etc (she is Particularly Excited to branch into portal spells). Otherwise she's mostly kinda chillin in a bit of a holding pattern, and I probably need to come up with more things for her to do. Maybe something with circulating her own conspiracy theory magazines, idk.

What are your character's plans?: Noah was murdered at 17 and then stuck around for 7 years as a ghost, so currently his plans are be alive and uhh. That's it. Ultimately he wants to make this second chance mean something, but he doesn't have any clear ideas of what that would look like yet. He has a lot to figure out about himself and a lot of trauma to work through. Also everything happens so much in MoM, he's pretty frazzled right now.

RUNDOWN: Declan is an utterly charming and utterly forgettable person, and he has worked hard for that. He is boring. He is unremarkable. He is banal. He is also an accomplished liar. He does it without hesitation and he does it to survive. He is a trained boxer and marksman. He definitely owns at least one gun and keeps it out of sight. Declan doesn't like surprises and he's had plenty since arriving here. He is Ronan Lynch's brother. Since he's arrived, Ronan has insisted that Declan is no longer on the clock, that he could have the life he's denied himself. Declan has trouble believing any of that. He dislikes his brother's obsessive, co-dependent, and frankly disturbing relationship with Kylo Ren.

HULLO i'm really enjoying our thread and would love to keep on keepin on with this CR if you're down! andy is a cop in maurtia falls but she's not a great one, so there might be some opportunities for them to run into each other again re: Shady Dealings???

RUNDOWN -- what are your character's skills, likes/dislikes, urgent needs?: Beck is a showman with a huge ego and arrogance to match. He hates being ignored, overlooked or underappreciated and will go to extreme (and deadly) lengths to prove his own worth. He is a tech genius and has created an amazing, potentially helpful system, but his unstable and selfish ways prevent him from being an actual decent guy or hero. His goals are to be respected and listened to, yet his over the top antics (and costume choices) make him a mockery. Unfortunately, he can't see what the problems are in how he acts. He tends to always think he's in the right and justified even in his worst actions, resulting in harm to others. He generally doesn't have bad intentions but the way he goes about things is questionable at best and often dangerous to other people's safety or mental health. He has no qualms about messing with people if he thinks it will see him accomplish his own goals. He probably needs real therapy with somebody willing to listen and somehow reason with him. Not an easy task. Personally, he thinks he needs more people working on his show. He also loves films and film-making, especially when it comes to visual effects and has been steering down that path lately, putting his efforts into making a live play/short film.
What are your character's plans?: He's been working on his big live performance for some months, still gathering crew for a potential short film and live show - primarily showing off himself and his 'heroics'. He's also still working on his tech, for various end goals.

Beck can go either way with turning more villainous just by his delusional & unstable sociopathic nature, even as he does think he's still playing the hero and with real, unhindered powers believes he may be able to prove it. But his selfishness and ego often gets in the way. His is a very winding path with many ups and downs and twists and turns. Negative and positive CR, all welcome.

Are you looking for roommates?: Not actively! There's a bedroom if someone needs it though.
What is your character's job?: He's a doctor at De Chima General!

( THE DETAILS )
RUNDOWN -- what are your character's skills, likes/dislikes, urgent needs?: Josh is a mutant from the 616 universe, and it chewed him up and spat him out angry and unstable. His time here has been really, really good for him but his past is catching up to him. and he seems to keep viewing futures where he goes too far. AS A PERSON, Josh is friendly, kind of a dumb jock, and always rushing to heal people.
What are your character's plans?: Josh just wants to spend his life here as simply and as far away from trouble as he can get. But what he wants and what he actually does run counter. CNC2020 reminded him that the peace he has here might be temporary and has him even more annoyed and uneasy about the concept of registration. He might start being more vocal about it or looking for ways to push back against it.
Does your character have a secret identity?: Nope
Where can your character commonly be found? De Chima, mostly. He's regularly at the bars and working at the hospital. He also goes bar hopping in Heropa.
Is your character open for pairings?: He's here for your sexually charged friendships, but he's only got eyes for one girl right now.
Are you open to having your character get hurt? Or, for villains, hurt others?: Yes, yes and yes!
Is your character interested in teams?: He's a fringe member of the Justice League.
What kind of plots are you after?: Anything and everything! I'd like to have him strike a better balance in the way that he deals with his powers, getting more comfortable with the full scope of them.
- Come to him for all your healing needs
- Alternatively, come to him so he can use his powers to leverage information out of someone. I'd be interested in having him maybe torturing information about the OTO if there's any remnants of that plot kicking around!
- I'm pitching an event for April dealing with him losing control of his powers.

yes absolutely! i'm enjoying it too 8) that would be great cr, reno would be particularly interested to get in good with a ""cop"" considering that he's supposed to be The Law where he comes from too and everything he does is bad and terrible and he's pretty much already got the sense she isn't all that squeaky either. so. he'd be PLEASED AS CAN BE.
